needed another pr of highly breathable / hot weather hikers- just came back from 10 days in Canyonlands, and these worked perfectly for warm day (25c) hiking temps, and their light weight is great too..

Got these a few weeks ago. I tend to do quite a bit of trail running and hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. While I wish I had got these in goretex or waterproof, the Outlines definitely have surpassed my expectations. A couple things I especially liked were the tongue and the lugs. For me, I have had trouble with hiking shoes having a pretty uncomfortable tongue. Whether they get in the way or press up against your foot in a weird way. Regardless, Salomon did just justice by giving the tongue a design that fits your foot and supports it instead of creating awkward pressure points. The lugs, well, Salomon has always done well by in my book. Hiking in the White Mountains of NH tends to be very rocky, wet, and rugged. These lugs create the perfect balance between trail and rock. I love that they are fairly aggressive kind of like the Speedcross'. I use these for everything from day hikes to mix trail runs to everyday outside (with how comfortable they are). I'd recommend them because of how versatile they are. You don't have to be super into any one thing, but these will adapt to almost any use.

I've had the shoe a few weeks and have gotten away with wearing it for presentations wich means I'm packing one less thing on my way to work. Light shoe, seemed a bit "serious" to be wearing all day AND at the trails, but have gotten good feedback from my feet. I've worn them mostly around town, but have gotten them on cruiser trails in the SLC area with no problems.

These shoes were generally comfortable, although the toes felt quite pointed and restrictive, perhaps I should have gone for a half size bigger. The soles felt a bit strange to walk on at first, but I began to get used to it after a couple of times of wearing them. Overall, very nicely made shoes, and I would recommend.

The shoes were really comfortable, and going a half size up from my usual gave me a perfect fit. The shoes performed well and provided lots of support, but in my opinion are definitely function over fashion.

I've had these shoes for a few months and have done a couple hundred miles in them. They are comfortable, supportive, breathable, and look great. Unfortunately, both inner heels now have holes in them and I will not be able to wear them much longer. It's a shame because the rest of the shoes, especially the treads, are still in a good condition.

Buonasera, la prima sensazione che ho avuto, e un po bassa dietro, sembra che il tallone non si fermo, andrebbe alzato un 5 mm, la parte davanti la sento un po stretta, la pianta non e confortevole, nella flessione del piede si sente nella linguetta davanti lo spessore da fastidio, lo usata 8 ore al lavoro non era confortevole, ho fatto una camminata di 10 km non vedevo l'ora di toglierle il piede non e in una posizione di comfort, il materiale e buono la suola ha un ottimo grip

I know me feet have changed over the years but I've ordered other Salomons, ultra x and pathfinders and they have fit fine. Gonna have to return, begrudgingly. SVA

I'm a Solomon fan and this pair of shoes worked for my feet like no other shoe has. I've looked for a long time for the right backpacking/hiking shoe for my feet. This was it. However, after 3+ trips totaling 115 miles I can confidently say that the pair I received suck moisture in, not keep it out. Like, not even a little. Must be a fluke but I'm not sure. I've contacted Solomon about the issue.

I would not recommend these shoes to anyone. They are so unfomfortable. Within the first day, I started having foot pain. The shoes are so stiff compared to their other shoes. Day two, I started have pain in my big toe joints. Went to my doctor to see if I had gout. Tried a new pair of insoles, didn't change the pain. 3 days later, I bought a pair of sense ride2. I then started weaing each pair for half a day. Finally gave up the Outlines. I know they are two different types of shoes, but I have never gone wrong with Salomon until I purchased the outline's. Stay away.

So I love the look of the shoe and was pumped to get my now fourth pair of Salomon shoes. However, even though I have always order an 11 from Salomon and they have fit dead on, these are a good amount to large in the 11 I ordered. Unfortunately so much so they are uncomfortable to wear. I am really bummed that the sizing is not as uniform as I thought. I would recommend Salomon shoes but now I am unsure what size is the right one.

Wore these for the first time yesterday in the rain. Had to abandon my walk as my feet were soaking wet. Did not realise these were not waterproof. Waste of money.
