recently lost a lot of weight.
I am probably between XL and XXL, but this jacket was quite tight and I sadly had to return it..... Maybe 20 pounds from now

I really wanted to love this jacket, its packs tiny, is super light and the water beads off the jacket like magic!
However, as other reviews mention the jacket zipper leaks, I have noticed it only does this when its windy and wet. Its shame considering the cost of the jacket that it leaks. I wonder if a different zipper (making the jacket heavier) would solve the issue.
The attached image shows the wet strip behind the zipper after 20 mins of running in a driving wind with rain.

Was hoping for this to be my go to rain jacket for long hours in bad weather. Quality is as expected from Arcteryx, the fit was great for me and best of all is that packs small. It comes with a small pouch (like the size of a fist) so you can store in your pocket.
But, it is not water proof. The Shake dry works great but the zipper leaks a lot. After one hour in "normal" rain I was soaked from waist to neck in the front, the rest was dry.

I bought this despite reading some reviews mentioning that the zippers weren't waterproof. (Funny how no other full review picked this up....) I am here to say that those reviews are real. Held the jacket underneath the faucet and within seconds I could feel water dripping from the zipper. I don't understand how Arcteryx could have missed this. Do they not test their jackets? Funny how all the other shells have moved onto waterproof zippers but this one stayed with old tech. (Was it to save weight?) I don't see how this jacket can be of good practical use if it defeats the main purpose of its existence. What's the point of making an awesome jacket with the lightest best material if the jacket as a whole doesn't do what it's supposed to do.
Will Arcteryx let me swap this jacket for a new one when they fix the zipper issue? Only one way to find out...

I want to love this jacket, and I do think the material is actually revolutionary, but the zippers undermine this jacket. I've gone for runs a few times now in moderate rain and have come back with my chest completely soaked (as other reviewers have mentioned). If the zippers were waterproof this would be a perfect jacket, but in it's current state it doesn't keep you dry.

I have finally had a chance to test this jacket in the cold and rai and wind and I am dissapointed - this is very hard to admit for someone so enamoured with everything Arcteryx.....
I have now worn it 3 times in rainy, cold and windy conditions and it fails in it's main aim - that of a waterproof jacket!!
This fail is down to one design flaw which I hope will be fixed asap - the front zipper is NOT waterproof and has no backing (until the last 3 cm at the top which it catches on...)
The result is that the wind and rain goes straight through the zip. When I returned from my run this morning, my upper chest in the centre was soaking wet just behind the zip. NOT GOOD ARCTERYX.
I have heard stories about leaks developing with backpack straps etc but have avoided using this jacket with a pack for those reasons, so cannot comment on the durability.

This jacket is fantastic because if provides unbelievable watproofness. The only and major downside is that it is too fragile. I passed by a doorknob and hit it, not hard, but i found there to be a hole.

I probably have 8-10 other arc'teryx tops and jackets, and have never had an issue with erratic sizing before. I have worn XL for years, and this jacket fits like a Medium.

Water leaks through the zipper immediately in even light rain. Just a long strip of moisture running from top to bottom. Very unexpected in a piece this expensive.

The Jacket gets completely wet/soaked after no more than one hour of rain/hail/snow and loses all the functionalities (thermal/wind/water isolation) it is meant for. I personally had to drop from an Ultra Race in the Swiss mountains last year, as I found myself into a snow/hail storm. After one hour I was completely soaked with temperatures around zero Celsius, the jacket did not provide any kind of protection and rather turned into a cold/soaked layer intensifying the chilling effect of wind and cold. The concept (lightweight and packable) is great but the execution is a total failure. One may wonder whether this product has been properly tested before market launch...
To be clear, it does not provide any proper Shell protection and is astonishingly expensive.
This is very regrettable, as I am a big fan of all Arcteryx Products, personally own many of them (Alpha SV, Cerium SV, Rho, Satoro SV, ...), and will surely continue to do so.

Like a lot of reviews say the zipper leaks. Not just a little bit , but a lot. The one purpose of this jacket is to keep you dry and the zipper they used is horrendous. I sent mine back with a service request and was told that the jacket was designed this way and on Arc'teryx minimalist jackets this is the zipper they use. Don't waste your money ,if your looking to stay dry on your runs this isn't the jacket to buy. It's so bad I don't even want it back donate it to goodwill or salvation army.

I've had this jacket for about a year now and have used it all sorts of weather. I tend to sweat a lot and this jacket was way more breathable than the Beta LT I sometimes run in. I've done 60 min runs in very light rain and have stayed dry. However moderate rain is a whole different story. After running 10 mins in moderate rain I felt the front of my shirt begin to get wet. The rain was leaking through the zipper. After 30 mins of running, my entire front shirt was soaked including my shoulders. The bottom hem of the jacket tends to curl inwards and the water slides right into the bottom of my shirt and top of my shorts.
No point in gore tex if the zipper is going to leak through.

I wore this out on a heavy rainy day for as a spectator at the Toronto Triathlon Festival Jul 22, 2018. I was quite upset to find out that the zipper was slowly allowing water to come in.
By the end of my 3 hours outside my back was dry but my entire front was wet.
I had worn this our for several runs before in light rain without issues. The Jacket shakes dry as indicated.
However in heavy rains water leaks through the zipper.
Also noticed in trail runs under hot conditions with rain, the jacket has a difficult time dissipating heat.

I have this jacket since over an Year and I am disappointed. Arcteryx does so many very good products but unfortunately this one has a the design issue.
The design flaw which I hope will be fixed asap - the front zipper is not waterproof!
The rain goes straight through the zip.
When I returned from the elements, my upper chest in the center is wet just behind the zip.
Please let us know if this is going and when be fixed?
