I have had this Atom LT Hoody for about a month now, and have only used another down jacket on one occasion, its now my "go to". Have used it for urban commute, day long photo projects in London and for hill walking. It's soft surface makes it very comfy with a base layer merino or over a light fleece. Hood zip comes up high around the neck keeping warm when it's windy. At the moment it also sheds rain well. Its not a winter warmer but great for spring and autumn. Really nice range of individualised rich colours as well.

Bought as a shell under a jacket, I also use it a lot on my own. I appreciate the weight a lot, in the backpack it is not bulky and light.

I've had this jacket for probably 5+ years and it continues to be my Go To for pretty much everything. It also still looks like new. The stretch side panels keep it from being too bulky for active outdoor adventures. It's washable so it cleans up easily too. I take it to San Diego when it's a little chilly and windy. I've run in it, skied in it sometimes on the same day. It's so packable and light weight, I take it whenever I travel. The side panels keep it from making you look like the Michelin man so I'm comfortable wearing it for work. It takes the place of most other jackets, except a hard shell. That you could easily layer over the Atom SL. I've recommended it to everyone I can. It's well worth the money.

I wear this every single day now basically. Its perfect for British autumn & winter weather. I am comfortable in cities as I am in the mountains.

This jacket is warm and very versatile. It can be worn in a variety of temperatures. Between 45-60, throw it on over a t-shirt. Below 45, throw it on over a long sleeve and you are good to go. It is very warm but doesn't make you overheat when the temperature creeps up a bit later in the day. I wear it for walking, outdoor sporting events, cold indoor sporting events (hockey), and pretty much everywhere else. The wrist cuffs are awesome and the front is tailored nicely so that it doesn't bunch up when you are sitting. Overall, this is probably my favorite jacket.

Unverzichtbar! Vielen Dank dafr!!

I grab this jacket nearly everyday. It is extremely comfortable and has a great cut. Regulates temperature so well that I don't even pay attention to the weather, I just take it with me. The DWR treatment is also super convenient for questionable weather days. Going on 1 year now and still looks brand new (other than where I gave it a good beating on some rocks) If you want a puffy that will be versatile, last for a long time, and look good...this is the jacket.

I've had an Atom LT jacket for 2 years and it has come with me on so many adventures from rock climbing to scrambling to ski touring. I've worn it every season since I've got it and it does amazing whether on its own hiking in the spring and summer or layered under a hard shell in the winter and fall. It still sheds light precipitation even after 2 years of use, but can still retain warmth even if it does get wet.

This is a perfect midlayer for any activity you use it for. I frequently use it when ski touring and provides adequate warmth for ascents on cold days. I can easily unzip to regulate temperature.

I decided I wanted to give up on wearing big bulky coats during the winter. I chose the atom for its lightweight, stylish and warm features. It has been a great addition to my wardrobe and has saved me in many cold and wet situations.

Last year, I won this jacket at the BLOCS opening party. Ever since, I've been keeping an eye on Arc'teryx, even buying a harness, which certainly lives up to the standards set by Arc'teryx. I would definitely recommend this jacket, or whichever suits you best regardless of the price, since it'll do whatever you need.

I'll add a review which reiterates what many other people have already said many times. This is a highly beloved jacket, and for good reason. It's extremely comfortable, and perhaps no other jacket on the market can make you feel so coddled. But let me make a point which many reviewers don't note. As Arcteryx indicates in its description, this jacket is designed for low output and start/stop activities. As usual, Arcteryx got that right. This jacket will work well in slightly cool to somewhat cold weather with low to medium output; it will keep you cozy warm without overheating you. However, my experience has been that, at medium to high output, this jacket does NOT breathe well enough at all (I get sweaty and stay sweaty), so it's unsuited for that application, and the Proton jackets are a much better choice. Because of the limited breathability of this jacket, I've retired it from use for faster hiking, and I instead use it for more casual applications, where it excels.

Just hopping on the review train at this point. I've never had a coat fit so well and be so perfect. Absolutely nailed the fit and nuances of movement. Truly a testpiece which other jackets get compared against.

This jacket is a classic for a reason. It fits incredibly well and feels so snug like you are wrapped up in a fitted sleeping bag. Even though this a mid-layer, its out-of-the-box DWR coating is highly water-resistant and has not wet out on me. That's crazy considering the Gamma MX, a $300 soft shell, wets out almost immediately by comparison.

It always manages to keep me the perfect amount of warm. It's great for snowy weather, warm fall weather, or just if you're feeling a little cold in the airport. This is my go-to for any kind of travel.
