I have a Thorium AR Hoody from 2015 that I absolutely love, but I wanted to replace it because the down has lost its loft over time. I was really disappointed that the cut has changed it's much boxier now and too loose in the waist/hips (but I don't think I can size down and still fit shoulders). I want the old cut back, it was perfect. :-(

This jacket was great when I got it but a year in the seams above the pockets started ripping. It's super unfortunate since the jacket its really warm, bummer for the price and standard of Arc'teryx i would have expected the seams to last longer :(

This jacket got great reviews, and I really wanted to love it. Everything is indeed perfect about it - except the fit. It's huge. I am 5'1 and got the XS. The shoulders are bulky, and my head is swimming in the hood. I wish I had looked at the details in the photos before purchasing - if the model is 5'8 and is wearing a small, there was no hope for me. I don't think Arc'Teryx knows what small really means ;)
I gave it two stars because of the fit, but I would still recommend it because it is a lovely jacket - for large people only.

I'd like to say that I own more than one Arcteryx item and other than Thorium all performed admirably. I have been especially impressed with the Theta which i use almost daily and which has been through tropics in crazy rain storms (I watched cars float away) and used as an outer layer in -30*C on the slopes, all while looking as good as on the day I bought it. I'm just not so sure about the down filled stuff though after my experience with the Thorium. I love this hoodie as it looks great is light and warm, but despite gentle use (worn mostly to and from office) the material ripped on the stitch line and I can no longer wash it for the fear of losing all the feathers in that baffle. The rip is on the inside and does not show when worn, so I'm using sticky tape to keep the feathers from falling out. Given the performance of their other products I expected the Thorium to last a bit more than two seasons and two washes before failing.

Purchased the jacket but returned it as soon as I saw it in natural light. The fabric is very thin and you can easily see the insulation material. Very embarrassing quality for a high price tag.

I bought this jacket but had to return it twice the sizing it totally wrong I'm 5,9 medium build bought a medium and the hem length is far to short and when I took the jacket off my kyanite hoody was full of feathers and I mean lots of feathers returned it bought a size large was then far to big but still very short and also so many feathers leak through so that was returned too since then I bought a jottnar thorn jacket which is the same basically great fit and doesn't lose feathers at all

I adore this jacket when I purchased it - it is so warm and cozy and the outer layer is not as fragile as my cerium LT jacket. It is my go-to jacket to wear around the town. However, after two washes following the down washing guideline by Arcteryx with detergent from Granger, it is now 1/3 of the original weight. I am not sure what is going on with the stitches for this particular style jacket but seems all feather are coming out. I wash at least 10 down jackets of mine at the end of the season every year and it has never happened before. I am so sad that most part of the jacket is now as thin as a fleece jacket.

Product tears away at the seams after a month of light wear (around town). This manufacturing defect is not covered by warranty. I've herd patagonia fixes this issues though.... just food for thought

I got this jacket at Christmas as a gift from my boyfriend and was OVER the moon to add the new gear to my already extensive Arc'teryx collection. HOWEVER not even a month into owning the jacket did the seam start to give out, resulting in a hole appear along the interior seam of the jacket. After over a MONTH of waiting I got a response form the Arc'terxy team saying it is not covered because it is considered a hole and not a seam malfunction. The lady actually said that the jacket was made to be light weight over durability (makes sense). I just didn't know that one month was beyond the expiry date.

So after 1 year of ownership all I can say is that the quality of Arcteryx has gone down hill since being taken over by Chinese owned Anta Sports
Group. And before any Arcteryx fanboys start jumping in like they have done with other similar negative reviews I've owned more top tier outdoor clothing than all of you put together, so I know a thing or two when it comes to quality outdoor garments. The fact is, is
that this should simply not happen, so with all this talk about its natural is simply not true. Because if it did then why hasn't it happened with my 20+ other jackets? Simple because it's down (forgive the pun) to Arcteryx quality control.

Been wearing this jacket for a good few weeks now. Its warm, fits well, looks awesome.. all good, accept for big annoying thing.
It keeps loosing the feathers that are inside. If this doesnt stop there wont be any isolation left at all. Besides that I prefer to wear dark blue sweaters or shirts during meetings/ working days and if prior to that I wear this jacket it looks I have been overrun by a herd of chickens... Not happy at all with this jacket at this minute.
I expected more of jacket with the Arc Teryx logo on it

I don't know whether it is warm or not, because I haven't worn it yet after purchasing last month. But I find that one front panel with size about 4"x2.5" near pocket is empty. That means it is nothing inside, no down fill, no Coreloft, only got a thin shell fabric at that area.
I have lot of Arc'teryx products: baselayers, shells, packs, harnesses....Can't believe such kind of defect found on Arc'teryx product. Really disappointed!!

The fit of this jacket is great. Besides that it really doesn't add anything to similar products already on the market (I also have a RAB alpine microlight, MH Ghost Whisperer and Patagonia UL down sweater)
It's useless as a standalone outerlayer because of the sewn-threw stitching closing the baffles are exposed, so wind passes trough these holes, as well as the main zipper (only covered by a thin flap). Also, the baffles are rather big, and the down has shifted to the sides on my lower back, leaving cold spots.
My copy also absolutely bleeds down. I'm still regularly picking my undershirt clean of a big handful of feathers.
Not what I expected from an Arc' product. I will stick to other companies for down insulation.
