My knees are shot and I have a big bunion on my right foot. I still try to stay active, walk my dog, etc. but I need shoes that are supportive and comfortable. These shoes fit the bill. They're not the sexiest shoes, but comfort comes first. I really like these shoes, they felt great right out of box, no breaking in required.

I think New Balance is the only sneak on the market worth the price. I have been buying 990 for years as my surgeon even wears them. Just purchased a hiking shoe and like it as much. Not to mention it is made in the USA

Looking for a shoe to fit a brace. This shoe has a fixed tongue and I needed a shoe with a free tongue. I preferred this shoe in looks over the one that I chose.

I chose the New balance 1201v1 which had what I needed to fit the brace.

I'm so happy with these shoes. I needed a waterproof hiking shoe for my somewhat problematic feet (large, wide, an unfortunate bunion on the top of my R foot). After several pairs that didn't fit well, caused the beginning of blisters after an hour, etc., I was thrilled to find these comfortable shoes. I've walked miles in them right out of the box with no problems. I have not had the opportunity to test the waterproof feature so I'm hoping they will work well when I'm in those conditions. Thanks Zappos for allowing me to try shoes until I found this great pair.

This shoe is perfect for trail and city walking. My shoe size is 6.5 EE, but I always size up for atheltic footwear. Since I have suffered foot problems in the past, I always wear custom-made orthotics with any shoe. These shoes easily accommodated them, and there was still enough room to give my toes some wiggle room. I am disappointed, however, that New Balance no longer carries the Country Walker shoe I bought several years ago. I really loved the leather upper, and I was sorry to leave that pair behind (after many wearings) in a hotel in Budapest. I hope that New Balance will consider remaking the Country Walker for those of us, like me, who have finnicky feet. Until then, I will continue to purchase the 1350 to make my feet happy.

The shoe fits true to your size. It's cute and sturdy. It give your feet ultimate comfort and support!!! I have very sore feet- can not wear hard shoes or heels. I can walk all day with these shoes and have all of the comfort- it's soft on the ball of my feet and provides arch support. I have more energy to move around and the shoe prevents further damage to other areas of my feet which happens when I wear basically flat shoes or running sneakers.

These waterproof walking shoes are stylish and comfy. I like that there are no hooks like the taller hiking boots. My foot and ankle can move freely and my feet stay dry in the northwest rain#

I have planter fasciitis, and needed a very supportive shoe for my 12+ hours a day on my feet. this has been the perfect sneaker for me. it holds my feet nicely, supports my arch, and most days i am not hurting so bad. i will 100% get another pair of these exact ones as soon as my current ones wear out. theyre not the "coolest" looking things but i honestly dont even care. i couldnt stand to be in pain anymore, and im really always on my feet so this was a great solution. highly recommend.

I wanted to replace my WW1569 that I'd had for many years....Although these do not have the 4"shaft that I wanted, I went ahead and ordered them. True to other NB's I have, they felt GREAT ! The heel is a little wide, but can be reconciled by changing how they are laced. All in all, a GREAT hiking shoe and all around "yard work" shoe for me. I have a WIDE foot and high arch.
