Love this coat! I originally had it in orange. Kept me so warm in michigan UP wInter waterfall hiking trip. Ended up giving it to my mom beacuse she needed a coat. I purchased the geranium. Very warm like but the material is a little less than the previous. Hood fur not as nice but still does the job and the exterior coat material does not have the same durable feel as previous. The jacket still keeps me very warm during winter walks with my dog. Like a hug!

Awesome coat, SUPER WARM!!! Fits great. Im 5'4, 115lb & i wear thick hoodies in the winter so i ordered a size M. I thought it'd be too big but it's perfect. THE ONLY REASON it got 4 stars is the color. It looked more whitish/greyish in the picture but it's a super light sky blue.

I'm a small framed person with an hourglass shape and ample chest- I typically wear small shirts and medium jackets. I bought this in medium from a different site because they offered last year's spruce green (not this olive drab that's everywhere on Columbia's site this year). I love the way it fits me in the shoulders and arms. Not once have I felt that the zipper near my chest or the seams in the shoulders are stretched while throwing snow, playing with my kid in the yard, or otherwise moving. It is a little tighter in the hip than I was anticipating, but it fits me enough to wear snowpants and I don't look like a shapeless lump. I live in Minneapolis, it gets cold here and while I don't know that this is the coat I'll wear for our next polar vortex, it'll keep me warm during shoveling or outdoor play. If I were walking the dog in below -20 or whipping wind, I would probably go for my longer coat only to cover my thighs. I specifically picked this one because I like that it hits at the hip- crucial for allowing leg movement to lift snow loads out of the way while shoveling or skiing, and that it has pit zippers if I do get too warm. I anticipate this being warm enough for any time that I'd spend playing outdoors or removing snow. I'm really happy with this purchase and look forward to many warm walks with the dog, sledding adventures, or being warm enough while moving to shovel. Spruce is such a pretty green without the satin, very happy with the color and fit.

I ordered the Color: Cirrus Grey Metallic. This coat is not grey. It looked white in the photos but when it came it's actually light blue. I usually wear a large in jackets bcuz I'm 5'9 with a long torso and arms. My other Columbia jacket is an XL so I ordered another XL since the reviews said it runs small. I think it fits great. Can't beat the price so I'm keeping it because I still love the color even though it's not white as pictured or grey as described. Also, be aware that this jacket is on the shorter side. It's not very long. As you can see in the pictures, it doesn't completely cover my rear end.

Go with your gut. way too big. i went off the sizing chart and boy was it wrong

Definitely be able to see me on the slopes or in the trees! The fur looks cute but I chose to go without it. I usually wear a large(10-12) but reviews said it runs small so I got the XL. It is a little big but with layers it is fine and gives me room to pack up the pockets with snacks, phone etc.. without being to tight! I love that it is a little longer in the backside. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is I wish it had a double zipper so when you have to use the restroom you can unzip from the bottom of jacket.

Gorgeous, warm coat! I was instantly in love, I've never had a winter coat this nice. My only gripe, and it's a big one-this is light BLUE. I purchased the metallic silver color, and it is definitely blue, NOT even close to silver. So my pink and silver boats don't match....

Purchased the Lay d down 2 jacket a week ago, a second time because the first purchase, it just fitted, had to go a size up which was a XL. But overall im very happy with the size and color. Thank you

This is a warm, protective jacket for Michigan winter days. Quite windproof and the lined collar eliminates the need for a scarf. Good sized pockets and the pit zips are great nice if I get warm on walks. It could be improved with a double zipper as it is a bit uncomfortable when sitting in the car

Love this coat. I wanted a warm coat, I'm always cold, living in the northeast we have cold winters. This coat will definitely keep me warm. I really like the reflective lining. The reason I gave it four stars is because of the fit.. I ordered a med. Which is the size I wear but it just fit, I couldn't wear a heavy sweater with it, it would be too tight. I should have ordered a large. This coat runs a little small.

I love the hood on this without the fur. I tried it on and it seems warm. I usually don't like the way hoods look and I have to pull them back. This one fits perfect. The lined pockets are nice too. I don't like the bright shiny white though and the collar is too stiff. When zipped all the way up, the collar pokes my chin. It would be much better if the collar were more supple and if it were a off white color.

It's a very warm and cute jacket but it runs small in comparison with other columbia jackets on the same size.

I own two other Lay D Down coats in a size S and I absolutely love them both, but was rather disappointed with this one--I ordered the black floral print, as I loved the design in the picture, but it just didn't look as vibrant or nice in person as it did in the photo, and the material wasn't what I expected--I thought it would be the smooth, silky material like my other coats, but instead it felt more like the material that outdoor patio cushions are made from, and reminded me of the hideous coat my sister-in-law gave my mom for x-mas one year that resembled an up-cycled couch, so between that and the fact it definitely ran rather big compared to my other two coats of the same exact style, I ended up returning it

Purchased for skiing but returned because it was too big :( Love the design and it seemed like it would keep you toasty on the slopes!

This is a beautiful jacket! I would give 5 stars however the pocket zipper jammed the very first day. I do like how the zippers are larger than standard women's jackets, but it shouldn't have gotten stuck like that first wear

This jacket exceeds my expectations. I got the white in a large. I normally wear L to sometimes XL. The details in this jacket go on and on including side vent zipper openings, sleeve pocket, curve enhancing fit, generous arm scye for free movement, removable fur trim and hood with cord adjustment, generous hand pockets, and an adjustable elastic inside lower flap to stop the wind from whipping up inside the jacket. The only drawback for was the sleeve option to cover my hand connecting to my thumb. It feels great, but when I raise my arms it pulls too tight. Since I am a seamstress I am going to add a little extra material there to make the jacket perfection. I would buy this jacket again in a heartbeat.

My 30 year-old down jacket was finally loosing feathers around the sleeves. I found this jacket and was interested in all the features. It is a beautiful coat. I had to return it because it was a bit small in the mid-section. I also found the part that wraps around the neck too stiff, so if you didn't zip it all the way, it still rested above your face, blocking your mouth and face. Learned my lesson, only buy a jacket if you can try it on first. It's not worth ordering online and then having to pay shipping both ways. Cheaper to go to the store and try it first.

I ordered the Lay D Down Jacket and canceled the order because the description of the jacket did not say whether it had the goggle or security pockets. I saw the jacket in another store and saw that it did indeed have those pockets, so I reordered the jacket. I'm glad I did. It is a really nice fit and not too bulky. I wish it had a pocket on the sleeve for the Lift card. I can deal with not having it. The color Nori (green) is true to the color in the picture. I'm glad I made this purchase. I can't wait to wear it on my ski trip in February.

This product is very comfortable and it feels very good wearing it. I like it because I can wear it for skiing and for just very cold days. It is very warm so I wouldn't recommend it when you don't want a warm jacket. But I don't really need this underarm venting, which is in my eyes pointless. But I still like the jacket, I simply don't use them.

I was so excited to receive my jacket, but it is a little small. Won't be able to wear it with anything but thin shirt underneath, so I will have to return it. Not sure if I'll buy another since it was purchased on sale and now the price is a lot higher. So Sad!

I love this coat and ordered the rich wine color, but as another reviewer stated when I received it the fur was in brown rather than the black as the pictures show. I would have preferred the black but the brown is still nice. I also sized up just because I have with all of my Columbia coats to account for layering in the winter.

I really like this coat, it's super warm and fit great. I normally wear small and the small fit perfect. The only issue I had (hence 4 star review) and thought people should be aware of is the color of the fur. I odered the rich wine jacket and the images show it with black fur, my jacket came with brown fur (like the color of fur shown on the blue jacket). It is still very stylish, but not the colors I thought it would be. Overall I'm happy with the purchase.

I really wanted to like this jacket, but there was one big issue. The collar when zipped up covered the bottom of my chin and rested underneath my lip. Super awkward. My neck is on the longer sider so it was very strange that this would even be an issue. Everything else fit well and I liked the jacket otherwise, but this was just a dealbreaker for me. You want to be able to zip a winter jacket up all the way to protect yourself, but it was rubbing my face. I had to return it for that reason since it was so uncomfortable.
