So warm, flattering, and on trend. Sporty, but the length and fur trim take it up a notch. A wonderful winter coat all around for truly cold winter days--say, 30ish and below. The fit was spot on. I am 5'6" and weigh about 155 with a fairly lean, athletic build. I bought a medium, and it fits perfect. Nice tailored shape, but roomy enough that I can wear winter clothes underneath (e.g., a fur vest or a bulky sweater) without the coat feeling too tight. The only quirk about this coat--I bought the asphalt gray and the fur collar has a slightly lavender hue. Nothing super purple, and I actually like it. But beware that it is a slightly different hue than shown in the picture.

Fit as expected i didnt have an issue with the arms as some did. Super warm and cute!

This is an amazing coat for those ultra cold Colorado days! Its like wearing a very stylish down sleeping bag :-). I am 5'4", 118 lbs and I got a small. It fits great, roomy enough for layers underneath but still has a "tailored" look. The faux fur lined hood is the crowning touch! I love it!

I adore this jacket. It's flattering, elegant and comfortable. For being so down-y, there is no restriction of movement and it feels light, but still so warm! The best thing about the hood is that you can roll the fur back by one turn and it's actually wearable without being too big and flopping over your eyes. I think the people complaining about the hood are missing that feature. I love it!

Best. Coat. Ever. I absolutely love it! It’s so soft and warm!! Very stylish! I think it looks better in person than it does on the website even. Love that the hood actually covers your whole head and that the length covers your butt. Worth every penny!! Way to go TNF!

I'm so warm in this! Great fit, cute style. Sometimes I wish the collar next to my chin could be pulled up higher when the wind kicks up. I can't fit a bulky sweater underneath it comfortably, but have never had to. I've been outside for hours in it in temps below freezing and stayed comfortable, though I'm usually moving. Had it for a few months now and worn it nearly every day.

The fit is perfect and it keeps me so warm!!! I wear between an XL and a XXL and ordered an XL in this jacket. It fits so well and I even find I have a little room to wear my sweaters. I love the longer back for when I sit and keeping the wind out. I cannot explain how much I love this jacket! It’s a win!! If I were to change anything sometimes when I wear the hood it falls down into my eyes but when I make sure it’s buttoned And have a hat on it happens less.

I do not regret purchasing this coat at all. It is very warm but also super stylish. I love the high neck and faux fur hood. The zippers are all high quality and I know that this is a coat that is going to last for a lifetime.

i loved this coat but it ran big and the next size down was sold out. (I am 5'7" and 130lbs and the size medium was too big overall, especially the sleeves)

I bought this abolutely beautiful coat for the cold Michigan football games at the Big House in AA.. GREAT DESIGN! The dovetail back is as handsome as it is warm and comfortable. The high neck design and the fur trimmed hood are toasty! The double front does not need multiple scarves to keep the cold out.. The outer surface is not typical.. the technology is very attractive.. I had to search long and hard for my larger size as this product was sold out most of the time!

Coat looks more black than picture shows. Very warm coat and nice looking. You can remove fur around hood for a totally different look. I have tried many different coats this year and this one checked all of the boxes. Love this coat.

This is by far the best coat I have ever owned! It's warm and fashionable all at the same time. We have had sub zero temps here in the Midwest and this coat is keeping me warm. I receive compliments on this coat all the time. I bought the gray one, but would like one in every color!

Fits true to size. I am usually a small or medium, I got the medium which is roomy enough for sweaters. It's very warm and stylish. I get lots of compliments on it.

Great and very stylish winter jacket!! I bought this jacket for my vacation to London and York, England where the temperature was about 36F during the day with lots of rain and some snow. It kept me warm and dry. I'm 5'1 and 125lbs, I bought a medium so I can wear layers and it fits almost perfect, except the sleeves were a little bit too long. Probably because I'm only 5'1.

I searched and searched for the perfect winter coat and have finally found it. I mostly wear it commuting in the city. I get so many compliments on the style but the best thing about this jacket is how warm it is. I love the design that is longer in the back providing plenty of warmth without restricting movement. The faux fur hood keeps the wind out of my eyes, although it does block some of my vision.

Wanted a coat that would be warm, multi-functional (work, gentle play, and stylish for outings) and durable. I'm very pleased with this purchase. Overall the coat is well made and very warm. Although I have noticed that as the front is shorter than the back winds occassionally come up into the body. The only other con is the hood is quite large and can block sight - but the ruff/fur trim is heavy and tends to keep it on your head during strong winds. I modified the hood fit by unsnapping the lowest snap on each side of the ruff - and then snap each of these to the opposite side of the fabric hood; crossing the fur at the neck. It's a bit fiddly to do but the hood fits much better and frames my face; further keeping wind out. These two cons do not affect my rating of 5 stars because I am very petite and difficult to fit. Further, I get alot of compliments on what a beautiful coat it is (vintage white). The texture of the coat is quite unique and as the ruff drapes into the chest region the coat has an understated sophistication/elegance. This is the first time I bought a North Face and if this coat proves durable (have only begun to wear) they are likely to have a customer for life.

This is a sturdy coat that can hold up to fun in the snow but also looks stylish walking around town. I am very pleased. I have a pear shape and it's very flattering on my figure and trendy without looking too trendy, if you know what I mean. It has kept me cozy down to 15 degrees and seems fairly windproof.

I just received this coat last week and I am LOVING it! Perfect for NY winter so far .. I love that the back is a little longer than the front. It's super warm and I love the texture on the jacket. I am 5'4'' about 155lbs and the larger fit comfortably and I am able to wear a sweater underneath and still have room.

I received this jacket at a gift. I did have it on my wish list because I loved it so much. I haven't had it long, but it is the most comfortable parka I have ever owned. You get what you pay for!

Absolutely LOVE my coat! My first choice was the Marmot Montreal and I ended up returning it, the fit was not flattering on me (I have a very hourglass figure and it wasn’t made for that) this coat is perfect, covers my behind but doesn’t feel like a giant parka, the color is closer to black in person but the fur is a pretty silver. It’s SO warm! Can’t say enough great things!!

The length is perfect to keep your backside warm! You can un zip it to get in the car from the bottom. Very flexible for a winter coat ! Its stylish as well. The texture is fun ! Great jacket TNF !
