I love the fit. The style is feminine. The faux fur on the collar adds a fun luxurious styling. The fabric is light weight, yet will keep me warm and out of the wind. I love the length in the back, and it is super flattering cut!

I am 5' 5" and weigh 165 lbs. I'm more muscular than soft. I ordered the Hey Mama Parkina in a Large dark blue and loved the look and feel of it however the shoulders and arm are a tad too narrow. I tried it on over a thin nightgown and it was okay but once I put a top or two underneath I will find the shoulders confining and the arms a little binding. I like to have a little room under my coats. I have always bought LLBean and Lands Ends parkas but their quality has gone down. I currently own a down parka by Lands End that I love except that it has a flimsy zipper and the lining pulls up the tops I'm wearing when I walk and I end up constantly yanking them back down. There is a big difference in the good strong, easy to use zippers on this North Face coat and it's much cutter. Too bad for me it's smallish. I'm going to try once more with an XL in white since that's the only color I can find right now on 2-14-2019.

This jacket is the warmest jacket I own! I love it! I do agree with the fur on the hood it is too big and hard to see, but I removed the fur and its fine. The zipper is a little difficult, but eventually works. I would also agree the feathers fall out and are all over my car seat. Even with those things being said I love this jacket and for sure would buy again!

I have owned this jacket for a couple months now and am overall pleased with it. It's incredibly warm with good wind protection and seems to be water resistant. I get many compliments on it and I especially love the fur on the hood as it's a beautiful grayish-purple hue in the sunlight. The only cons are the hood is a little over-sized (when I have it on it covers my eyes) and the feathers do shed occasionally.

I received this coat for a gift and I really love it. I originally received the white color, but did not like the pink trim. I wish it were gray. So I exchanged for the black. It is very warm and I really like the longer length in the back. I do have one issue with it however. The hood is not useable. I wear a hat, but also like to put the hood up when it is extra windy. This hood extends over my eyes and I can't see! The fur on the hood also has a purple hue in the daylight, which I do not like. I feel that an expensive coat such as this should have a hood that is not only stylish, but should be functional as well. North Face design team - take a look at your hood on this and make an adjustment before the next production. Potential buyers - make sure to try on the hood if you plan to use it! style and make an adjustment please!

I took this jacket to Ireland in November. It was perfect on the Cliffs of Moher, where the wind was really crazy. It also felt stylish wandering around the streets of Dublin. I am usually a small, but bought a medium, so I could add layers underneath. It really felt perfect. Unfortunately, after only a month, the zipper is now not working. I will send it back to Warranty to try to get it fixed, since it's really a great coat.

My sister defines this coat as "City Slicker." I'm 5'2, 135 pounds and purchased the medium. I have plenty of room to wear a cashmere sweater underneath, and it is just the right length in that the coat does not overwhelm my "short frame." I purchased the "new taupe" which is similar to an olive green and contrasts nicely with the black fur and my dark hair. I receive a lot of looks because the coat is super stylish with a nice silhouette. It's a warm coat in 29 degree weather. The reason I took one star off is because the hood hangs way too low over my head as another poster mentioned. The only time it sits right is when I have my hair in a messy bun. Regardless ---LOVE this coat and would definitely purchase it again! Also, the snaps don't bug me at all ---actually like the fact that there's a zipper and snaps!

I love the length of the coat and that the arms aren't too long (I'm 5' 3"). I wish the hood was removable, but not a deal breaker. The hood is very generous. The zipper seems a bit on the cheap side. I haven't worn it outside yet, but I can tell it will be nice and warm. I'm always freezing, so it's worth it to me to pay for a quality coat.

I ordered a large and it was swimming on me. I'm 5'3, curvy, 170 lbs, and wear a 36D bra, and it was way too big. Also my hair is black and it blended in completely with the very jet black fur. Didn't like the look. You also much button EVERY button or else it does look odd, but it's a beautiful coat and worth the extra 30 seconds. I'm re-ordering in navy blue in a medium. Fingers crossed.

This jacket fits beautifully and is almost too warm (I know, first world problems). I get many complements and love the way it looks. However, THE HOOD HANGS WAY TOO LOW. If you live anywhere where you will need to wear the hood, please know you won't be able to see. I posted a picture below. Trust me, if Sia wanted to find a winter substitute for her wig, this would be the coat for her.

This coat is just about perfect. As others have mentioned it's like a soft down sleeping bag yet still cuts in a bit at the waist so as flattering as a big coat like this can be. The faux fur is removable which was important to me bc I'll rarely wear it w the fur on. I purchased the navy color and it's gorgeous but really I'd love all the colors. It will be great for our coldest Minnesota winter days. The only thing it's missing is an inside pocket. I am 5'5 and weigh 139 pounds - pear shaped. Usually in Northface I need a large for my hips and a medium for my upper body so often cannot wear their jackets but this one in a medium fit me great. Not too tight. I don't have a lot of room for layering however so if that's important yo you and you are my size, you might want to go to a large.

I'm about 5'7, about 135 pounds, (i normally where a size 2-4 ) with a small chest - size c cup. I ordered a Small. I find the coat to be flattering from the front and the back; It gives me an hour glass shape. However, looking at me from the side - my profile view - I find it to look unflattering; It doesnt give me any shape. It just falls straight down. The coat cinches very nicely on the sides of my waist but not in the front and back of my waist. Im not in love with it. There is more than enough room for me to add a heavy sweater underneath. I am considering trying to return it for an x-small although I fear it may fit me too small.

I am 5'10" so I always have a hard time finding a coat that is long enough for me and my arms. This coat fits great! I actually love the coat but can't believe how poorly designed it was in certain aspects. The zipper had 2 zippers which means when you go to zip up your coat the other zipper stays at the bottom which means any movement and it unzips. I called Northface to ask about this and her reply "Oh the parkas are suppose to do that to adjust to your movement." So I said basically the coats are designed not to lock the zip and to unzip from the bottom as you wear the coat? She said yes thats correct. What the heck???? Also I don't like how you must button your buttons on the coat in order to stay warm. I wish I could just zip the coat up and go, but instead I have to snap each button along the zipper, Don't get me wrong, I like this coat, but it would have been much better if those 2 things were fixed.

Have to say it's a great coat, its warm, the girl I got it for loves it but this isiant a coat that lasts. I would be shocked if it lasts the winter from normal wear. I love TNF but I will be buying her a new coat from TNF of course still but one more long lasting.

If wearing this coat zipped up, you need to take the time to snap all the snaps on over zipper or it looks weird. Wide flat zipper area. Photos do not show that. Otherwise, great coat. Lived the texture on the coat.

I really wanted to love this jacket but it absolutely has to go back. The design on the jacket looked incredibly cheap and tacky in real life, the dots look like braille instead of being more low key as they appear in the photos. The color of fur on the taupe (the one I purchased) looks incredibly tacky, like faux fur you'd find on a cheap brand jacket. The jacket overall had a super cheap look and feel to it and it is absolutely unwearable in my opinion. Unfortunately, I am returning this as soon as I can drive to the UPS store.

Bought this roughly a month ago. Zipper gets stuck and does not work well often. The feathers come out from all different places. Super disappointed with the amount of money spent on this jacket and this is what I get.

Feathers started falling out the day I got the coat. The fur hood was coming out in clumps. THEN, on week 3 of having the coat, a big hole magically developed in the sleeve. Worst quality item I've ever owned! I was also given the run around trying to return this coat and get some type of compensation, nothing was given to me in the end . North Face is not what it used to be
