I bought this same pair of boots from an Amazon reseller. These boots are promoted by Doc Marten as leather but they have some sort of plastic-felling coating on them. It makes me concerned about how durable these boots will be if the leather is coated rather than dyed. I’m concerned the coating will start flaking off with wear because if heard of such complaints with other Docs in fancy colors. Soooo, if you buy the Pop colors, just be aware of the potential. That said, the pop blue is gorgeous when the shoes are shiny and new. I really want these shoes but at their pricing point, if these can’t last format least 5 years, they won’t be worth it (and lots of folks have had Docs for much longer). I normally wear a womens 9M in most shoes. Docs run really large, though, so I purchased a UK6 which is a US mens 7 / womens 8. I’m not sure if mine were mens or womens. According to a Doc Marten rep, mens sizing is supposed to be wider than the equivalent shoe in womens. I decided to order a Mens US7 in black harvest to compare to the pop blue. If the black is just leather without the plasticy coating, then I’ll returning the blues.

The fit of the blue boots was great. They have been the easiest pair of Doc Marten’s for me to break in. The uppers, however, formed a split in the side near the toe a few weeks after I bought them so I returned them. The second pair have now split too in the same spot after about four months. And I don’t mean just a deep crease in the finish, I mean a stick-your-finger-through hole. Disappointed.

The style is beautiful, but the fit for me was bad. It was slightly narrow in the toe box (because this brand doesn't come in half sizes!), but too wide in the heel. And because my heel was too narrow to fit completely in the heel box, the extra soft leather felt like it wasn't properly supporting the heavy sole of the boot. This is an issue I felt would get worse with time. If the heel fitted as it should have and if these boots came in half sizes, it would have been a perfect fit with no real need for a break in period. Reluctantly I must return them and search for another brand. Thank you so much Zappos for your easy return policy!

Horrible! There’s no way to break them in they are very uncomfortable. I was so disappointed
