These are beautiful. I love the rainbow stitching and laces, and the rainbow sheen on the patent black. They are, like every pair of Dr. Martens I've had in the 25+ years of wearing them, VERY stiff. Break in will not be easy or comfortable, but I am deciding they are worth it. Just make sure you have proper break-in time before serious wear.

They're doc martens. Of course they're awesome. The cognac goes great with jeans and is more versatile if you are (as I am) having trouble pulling off the skater punk look in your 40s.

These are awesome. If you have never worn Doc Martens before you MUST slowly break them in. Once you do, you are golden, but it takes time. These boots will last forever if you take care of them. I own several pairs and happy to add these to my collection.

These were close to the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn. I feel like I must have received different shoes than the other reviewers because they rated them well and I feel like throwing them in the trash. I wore them to a music event and could barely walk halfway through the night because my feet were in so much pain. The sole is so hard and there is no arch support. The body of the boot is stiff and ended up rubbing sores into my ankles even despite me wearing thick boot socks. I will never wear these shoes again and will have to donate the two pairs of Dr. Martens I have but have not worn because I refuse to waste my time with uncomfortable shoes, even if I like the way they look.

I love love LOVE these shoes. The color is unreal, I get compliments on them everytime I wear them out. I got them a little bigger than I normally would because they don't have half sizes and they fit pretty well. The width was a bit narrow for my feet at first, but after the first few hours of wear, they don't squeeze my feet anymore. Glad I splurged on this christmas gift for myself!

I LOVE these. They are extremely stiff, as is usual with Docs, and will need some careful breaking in, but absolutely worth it. My last pair of docs lasted 20 years. I love the rainbow effect on the boots, as well as the rainbow lacing. Plenty of room in the toe box, and the size is perfect.

Absolutely love these.I have been looking forever for patent leather Docs.The PU treated leather gives an "oil slick " reflective quality that is beyond gorgeous. I'm wearing them with my pj's now to help break them in .I hope they last forever because they are perfect.

I have been searching for black patent Dr Martens for awhile. When I saw the finish on these uppers, I knew these were the ones for me!!! The patent finish has a rainbow shimmer to them in the light. It is amazing, I don’t know how Doc does it. The rainbow stitching on the sole is fabulous and makes these docs extra unique. They were a little noisy to right out od the box, but once the leather softens up, I am sure they will be quieter! And the extra rainbow laces were a fun touch!!!

Great boots! Really pretty oil slick finish. They were not hard to break in and were comfy from the start.

Amazing shoe, love it so much! Like all leather docs, they hurt at first but after you break them in they are your bff. I wear a size US Women’s Size 9 usually but I had to size down to a US Women’s Size 8 because the 9 was too big.

I absolutely love these. They are so cute and comfortable and they came with an extra pair of laces that were rainbow.

The fit was great. I have a wide foot and since these are men's shoes, a regular width in men's translates to a wide width in women's, so the width was perfect for me. If you have a narrow foot, they may be too wide. The color is great - a muted dark olive/taupe/grey. The leather is much thinner and softer than I was expecting! Which is great for comfort but seems like they will be less water-resistant than the regular smooth leather. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

Very comfortable, nice looking as always. A little disappointed with the sole stitching. There’s a spot in the inside of the left boot where it’s doubled up and crooked. Otherwise great boots.

Bought these in a 9 originally. I am an 8.5-9 but typically a 9 because my foot is a little wider. They were too big so I got the 8 which fit the length of my foot perfectly but was too narrow to wear. Really wish these worked but had to return both.

I would recommend sizing down and the boot has a color that is true the to the photo.

The shoes were exactly what my daughter had wanted. We had looked at many other sites right after Christmas looking for these shoes in this size. She was very happy when we found them on Zappos. They also arrived really sooner than we thought they would. Thank you!

I ordered the blue Doc Martens. I wear 7.5 US and ordered a (Men's size 6 US, which is female US size 7) because they say they are a bit bigger by half. They fit me perfectly.

I just received my boots and immediately put them on. They look great and feel like the Docs I had back in the 80s! Super excited. I guess that dates me... huh? Anyway, they fit perfectly in size and width. Really no discernible arch support, though. Easily corrected with an insert for anyone in need. The color is pure black, which I wasn't sure about. The description of harvest black and the picture made me think they may have a brown hue, but none that I can see. The leather is perfect. It's not tight or shiny like other boots; rather the leather has a worn feel to them. They are already flexing where needed and I can see these becoming a daily wear. I'm very happy!

I normally wear a size 6 (or size 37). Zappos recommended a 4, but I went with a 3 and the fit was perfect. Plenty of room.

Purchased as a gift for my son. He asked me to buy size 10 instead of 11 and they fit perfect. He loves how the boots look and says they are comfortable!

I was waiting to buy a pair of these for awhile and finally caved. I love the style and the fit is good. The only disappointment was how quickly these scuffed. With in a few days the leather on the top foot bed had scuff marks. Either way they're still cute and I'll continue to wear them.

Well.... they are beautiful.. what can I say. Gorgeous... rainbow or black laces included. But very very stiff. No doubt they will last forever, but it is going to be a challenge breaking them in. I would not plan on wearing if one was walking much. Sad to say. But since I live the look, I keeping them. Just remember stiff, stiff stiff.
