Holy cow! I’ll be buying more of these! In fact, these will replace my on clouds as day to day footwear because they are soooo comfortable. Seriously, I just tried them on and ended up taking a nap in them. I wear an 8 wide in Bella Vita, Naturalizer and Sam Edelman heels with extra cussion under the ball of the foot and at the heels to keep them from slipping off. I ordered these Carolinas in 8.5 wide and they fit with a comfortable snuggness in the toe box with some heel slip over my everyday socks. Just like the experts say boots should fit:) I expect they will expand a bit while I break them in which will be perfect for when I want to wear thicker socks but I will probably need to get a bigger size in a few years. I heard feet never stop growing.

I work on my feet and needed a non-slip, water resistant, comfortable boot that could endure hours of movement without wearing down. And, of course, I wanted it to look fashionable too. THIS IS IT. I was worried that the tall heel would take away from their comfort or mobility, since I don't usually wear heels -- but they're not bothersome at all. This are genuine leather, so the boots are pretty tight when you first wear them and take days to properly break-in. They are also very heavy, so prepare for that, and WARM. Your feet will be sweating by day's end, but if you work on your feet, then you're probably used to that anyway. If you're planning on wearing thicker socks or prefer more wiggle room for your feet, buy a them half size up -- these guys are snug. I bought true-to-size, and although my boots are officially broken in, my right foot (aka my naturally larger foot) still has to be pulled and pushed a little harder for entry/exit. Aesthetically they're super cute for a work boot- I get compliments all day about them -and I love that the manufacturer left the top few lace notches as optional, so you decide how you want to lace them up. Overall, I'd highly recommend this pair of boots!

I bought these boots because my old pair of work boots are Carolinas and I liked them a lot, I've had them for seven years and they're still in pretty good shape. These are much tighter than the first pair, though, and because the shaft is so much taller they've taken a bit of breaking in to become comfortable - for the first few days the back of the boot on my calf made my leg sore. They're warm and sturdy, though, and hopefully will break in to be more comfortable overall.

They wear true to size and are actually more comfortable than I anticipated. I had to buy these for work but now I would consider wearing them outside of work too. Good quality and material.

Oh these are the best boots I've gotten so far from Zappos, they are the cutest. Now breaking them in is hard, your shins will hurt. Also its a heavy boot.

These are my favorite boots! Well made, heavy duty and super cute! I prefer a composite toe over steel - because of the weight and also steel in winter is not great for keeping my tootsies warm. I work in home remodeling and these have been the best boots I've found for winter jobs. I live in Flagstaff Az and we are in the mountains, approx. 7000 ft elevation, and last winter was A LOT with snow - so glad I had these boots!!! Sizing is just right and I do wear thicker socks in winter (hooray Smartwool!) (bought size 8 and they are perfect) Hope you like them as much as I do! ;-)

These boots were delivered less than an hour ago, so I can't speak for how durable they are just yet. BUT, these are the best fitting boots I have *ever* bought. They are a lot more stiff in the sole and ankle than previous boots I've had, but to me that's a sign that they're durable boots that need time to be broken in. I had a pair of Danners that I ended up absolutely hating, and they lasted me less than a year (including the time it took to break them in). I was very dissapointed. Let's see how long these guys last me, I'm really hoping for the best! (For context, I'm a landscaper and an arborist in a mountainous area)

Absolutely LOVE these boots!

Loved the boots -- just not right for my feet. Reviewers said to size up, which I did, but they were way too long for me. I usually wear a size 7 in boots, so I ordered the size 7.5, which was about 1.5 inches longer than my toes. The width at this size was perfect for my B/M-width feet, so I knew if I sized down that the proper length would be too narrow for my feet. Very disappointed. The boots are very well made of the best materials and had the features I needed to remain stabilized and protected. People with narrower feet will be very happy with these boots.

I'm glad I got a size up. These shoes are true to the width. Very roomy and comfy. Even with thick socks, they fit great.

Very comfortable fit. They start out tight but after a few wears the leather conforms to the foot and they’re like second skin. I would break them in with 2-3 shorter wears before wearing them the whole day.

I love these shoes so much! They fit pretty well but feel kind of small. The thing is when I just got it, they were extremely tight. However, after walking outside on these without socks, they slowly expand. My feet don't smell (:. I hope that they will expand so much that I wil be able to wear them with my socks on because I loves some of my socks! (:. I would buy size 10 but since they look so big and I hate it. Wow!!! I am so happy with this boots!! Even tho they are a little heavy they are super confortable. I use to get a lot of pain in my heel but not with this boots; I think the elevated heel on the boots provide support to my heel and prevents the pain. They are also water proof!! I worked on a rainy night; non stop rain and to my surprise my feet were completely dry. They are super cute and fashionable. I am normally a size 9 -91/2 I got a size 10 and feet just right. So you might want to go a 1/2 to one size up. Other than that I will definitely recommend my Carolina boots!! I love them!!

They lasted well for the year I had them but nearing the 9 month point wore down enough I needed insoles for my feet. They look good and wore well I have no complaints. Even after a year of steady use they are still in very usable condition.

the size eve tho is 1.5 extra still feel tide. i will have to use it more to break it down to my feet comfort. however the style on point, walking feel conformable.

I'm normally a 6 in women's, I ordered at 6.5 and exchanged for a 7 due to the boot feeling very restrictive. I'm on day 3 of breaking them in without any complaints.

The reviews were correct about the narrow fit of the shoe. I wish it actually came as a wider width due to the fact the it doesn't really "give", I do like the boot, but being on my feet in at work for 10 hours a night, the comfort level diminishes after the first half of my shift. These boots will be better for when I'm in the rain or snow, but I still haven't found the prefect work boot with just the right amount of arch support and comfort that can stand the test of time on my feet. Breaking them in has been a challenge because I'm on the move all shift, less 2 breaks and a 30 minute lunch.

This boot is narrow. I don't think that I've ever had a M width boot this narrow - needed to return. Otherwise it's great construction with great materials and comfortable if your toes aren't folded onto each other.

Fit was good but some strange interior fabric around the ankle/lower leg. Almost like a plastic tarp feeling instead of soft fabric. also, the tongue fold on one shoe rubbed the ankle. I guess I'm sensitive but the other boot tongue didn't fold like that. Maybe they need more quality control. A great heavy duty boot, but not comfy enough for me.

Narrow and small. Order up. If you have wide toe box, just don't. Super cute looks tho.

So I can fit anything between 8-9 in shoes depending on the brand, I got an 8 1/2 to be safe and my feet were so cramped. I ended up returning for another pair of shoes but who knows maybe I’ll give them another try in a bigger size! Super cute and keeps your ankles secure though!

This was a NO for me. This boot really is heavy. I've had other composite toes that weren't this hard n heavy so this feels more like a steel toe. The upper part of the shoe is flexible and has a nice feel yet the style is rather masculine so would classify it more as unisex instead of male/female boot. The fit was tight. I ordered my size, 8.5 and had no wiggle room. I literally could only wear maybe tights or stockings with them. I walked thru the house in them and found the comfort to be very nice. Seems as though I would be able to work a 10 hour shift, after some breaking in. However, I am returning them. Just too tight and a bit heavier than I would like. I would recommend this boot it just didn't work for what I wanted.

I am normally a size 8/ 8.5 on my left foot and size 9.5/10 on my right. I bought size 10 Left(8/8.5): very comfortable fit. The arch support still works even though my foot is short for the size. Safety toe starts a little past where my toes start. Right(9.5/10) Comfortable sole for standing for 10 hours on concrete with no mats. Tight on top of foot where ankle starts. Safety toe starts where the balls of my feet start. It feel tight and my foot hurts there after a few hours. The edge of the Safety toe presses down on my toes all across leaving bruises as well.

So I originally bought a 7.5 Women's, ended up having to return them for a 8.5. The toe area doesn't really have a lot of height in it so if you have ANY arch in your feet I recommend going up 1/2 a size for small arches and a full size for larger arches so whenever you take a step the composite toe doesn't dig into your foot. In the end, I'm just returning these boots all together because the tongue flap comes down and rubs right on my inner ankle on both feet. I don't really have any muscle or fat near my ankle bones so I've worn my skin away while wearing them with thick socks just test walking them around my house.
