I recently purchased the Thermoball jacket and LOVE IT! I was so excited by how light and comfortable the jacket is I purchased the vest (as my Lululemon vest of 5 years is looking tired). Unfortunately, the vest just kind of looked stiff and boxy - different from the sporty look of the jacket. I ultimately returned the vest only because of the look (on me) but know the vest has all the positive attributes of the jacket so give it a try. Zappos is so great about returns you literally have nothing to lose.

I expected the color to be more teal or turquoise, but it was too green for me and I returned it. I have other colors of this vest and love the fit and softness and that it is not bulky.

Loved this vest, but runs a little tight. It fits but next time I would buy the size up. I like my vests a little loose. Otherwise, keeps me warm without being bulky. Loved the navy color! Thanks!

I use this on evening walks with a long sleeve tee.

Bought this for my jock niece who lives in cold weather. Looked at several brands-Columbia, Patagonia, Lulu, etc. This one struck the right balance of warmth, styling, breathability, silhouette. Didn't want it too puffy, and the matte finish helps in that regard. Took off 1 star for pricing. Overall, happy w purchase & she loves it!

I ordered my normal size and it fit well. If you are between sizes then you might try sizing up. I don't zip up my vests so the snug fit doesn't bother me at all. I actually have this vest in several colors.....fig, tin grey, asphalt (my favorite) and i am waiting for navy to be delivered to me lol. So needless to say I do love the fit, style and warmth of this vest. I took off one star because it seems too pricey for a vest (but YET, I still managed to buy several of them!!) Anyways, if you're on fence, give it try and Happy Shopping!

I saw this in the store but they did not have it in my size. I called customer service and ordered it after Christmas as a gift to myself. I was pleased with the look and feel when it arrived. My only issue is that it feels a little looser than I would ordinarily like.

Fit great. Looked great. But decided my $$$ would go farther exchanging it for a thermoball jacket. This vest is too expensive.

I have a thermoball jacket and wanted something to layer under, and this vest is perfect for that or to wear alone. If you are a curvy girl, it will be "spacious" around the middle, not so flattering but I don't really care about that. I am 5'5", 140 lbs wearing medium.

Looks very stylish and is true to the North Face name. I would definitely buy again.

I like this vest and have two of them. I want more for style, but the colors are difficult.

I love this vest - both in terms of style and design. It's light weight, but warm, and the design (Galaxy) is fun and goes with lots of other layers. My only disappointment was in the size. I ordered a small. The waist fit fine, but the chest and arm holes were huge. Sent it back for a XS.

I love the fact this is a cruelty-free alternative to a down vest. It is super light, not as warm as I would have expected, but still great for layering over a sweater/fleece or under a jacket. I got the vest in XS, and it feels a bit loose and boxy on my 5'10"/120 lbs frame. Not as flatering as my other TNF down vests. Also I suspect it does not feel as warm, since it is not tight fitting. All in all I love the idea of Thermoball and really like this vest, maybe not my favorite in warmth, but it really is super light weight and the grey color looks great.

I bought this for my mom. Layering is very important for her lifestyle (traveling, walking, in and out of buildings and homes). This vest is perfect for under her winter coat, alone on a warmer day, or inside the house. She looked EVERYWHERE in stores to find the color she wanted. She could only find black. She loved the fit and the slimming look and was SO excited when I ordered her the plum color on line. This vest fit her better than any other brand she tried. Perfect for my practical mom who also wants to be stylish.

The color on chart appears to be brighter than what it is but kept it anyway.

This will be my go to vest for all outdoor activities. Love that it's not bulky which will allow for movement when playing.

I am not too familiar with the sizing with North Face. I am 5'3" at 125 and ordered a medium because I wanted to wear sweaters underneath. Unfortunately had to return. Way too big. Size small should be a better fit. Beautiful vest though.

This vest looks great on! It is the end of summer here in NJ so I cannot tell how warm it will be yet. I plan to wear the vest over a sweater in the fall and the beginning of winter when I run out to the store. I subtracted one star for the unknown. I also ordered the Nuptse 2 in black, a little thicker vest. That one also looks pretty nice on as well. I was never a vest person, so I will see how it goes this winter.

FYI: the products doesn't quite look like the picture. For instead, the Vest, it's an AWESOME Vest, WICKED colors, but I thought it would have been PUFF-FEE-ER, and it's thin.

The only reason that I gave this vest a 4 star rating is because it does not have a two-way zipper. This is a must in my book as the Thermoball vest is fitted and when you sit down, a little give is needed.

I wear my new vest constantly......around the house and under my winter coats for a walk outside. It is my "go-to" favorite vest in my closet and it looks great with PJ's too! This is a vest that you can wear every day and put over a shirt if you live farther south or put over a sweater and under a coat if you live up North. Love my thermoball!
