Based on reviews, I ordered a size up. Big mistake. Despite the “slim fit” I found this vest to be true to size (big thanks to Zappos for making the exchange quick and painless!). Maybe the sizing also depends on how you want to wear it. My plan is to wear it as part of an outfit, with just a T-shirt underneath. I guess if you were layering a sweatshirt underneath you might want to size up.

Jacket was cute, but I didn't see "SLIM FIT" anywhere in the description. It is defeintely a slim cut. If you are busty or hippy, this is not the jacket for you in your regular size. Go one size larger.

I was worried about the slim fit, as I am an apple shape. I ordered a medium in this vest and the fit is great! I am 5’3 and 136 pounds, if that helps people with sizing. Vests are my main wardrobe in the winter. I usually wear the north face nuptse vest for my winter coat and these lighter weight vests for indoors. I purchased the Patagonia nano vest this winter and also wanted thermoball vest too. Cost was a factor and now I own both, because of your sale! Love Zappos! So easy to purchase and easy to return if you’re not satisfied.

Love this vest! I usually wear a small in tops but always size up in TNF and this vest was no exception. The medium (35-28-37, 34B) fit perfect and the black color will be versatile enough that I will have lots of opportunities to wear it.

I'm petite...5'2", 105#...size small fits perfectly; room for layering. Excellent stitching, love zippered pockets which are roomy, like slightly fitted look, overall a great buy!

This vest is a bit more fitted than last year's model but it fits nicely and looks good. I purchased the TNF black matt and it is a nice fabric. Because of the matt finish, it may be a little more dressy than the shiny one, which is what I wanted. I love the weight. It is warm but light and easy to pack. I have several of these vests in different colors and use them everyday and to travel. Easy to layer with a jacket if it gets colder.

Absolutely perfect for what I wanted it for. I use it at a retail job where the doors open and close all day. Keep a my body core warm but still leaves my arms free to move around. Matches everything I wear it with. I purchased the matte black. Super light weight yet still very warm. You won't regret spending the money. It is definitely worth it.

I have 5 vests so far ( North Face & Patagonia) Love this one the most/ slim fit / correct size (I'm 5'3" & 108lb / XS was great) I use in running / racing / training with arm warmers & don't have to wear long sleeves top in 30 - 40* temp

I love this vest! Very comfortable and warm on days when it's not real cold. I also wear in under my Northface Thermoball. Very happy with the color and stylish too!

Love this vest and own many in different colors. The XS fits me perfectly, 4'10" and 90 pounds. I ordered black shine with gold stitching but it came with reddish copper stitching. Really pretty so I'm keeping it but I really wanted the gold as advertised. Happy the logo is stitching and not press on. Thank you Northface!

I'm a thermoball addict at this point, and this vest has not disappointed. I love vests for their layering capabilities as I hate the tight arm feeling! This is the perfect weight and warmth and in the matte black it's a great quality piece. I'm very happy with the updated fit and baffling on these as it's an improvement over the original thermoballs. I use this for everything and know that it will carry through each season nicely. I'm not easy on my gear and the fabric has held up very well with minimal to no snags on areas where I'd expect them.

I bought a vest last year and loved it but wanted to add another color to my wardrobe, so I got this one in matte black and love it. Just like my old one it's lightweight and comfortable but keeps me warm on cool and chilly days. I do not notice any difference in the fit from last year - it just needs to be worn in :) Very happy with this purchase.

The product color is Deep Blue but it's more a purple color with a slight shine. Not fond of the matte colors. This year's color is not as rich or shiny as the last few years but it's really pretty. Love this stylish vest and own at least five. Comfy and wear it with a thermoball jacket when it's cold outside.

I like the fitted shape of this vest, like the thermoball jacket. Nips in a bit at the waist for a flattering fit and the angle of the seams are diagonal which is more flattering than horizontal seaming.

I never understood the concept of wearing a vest. I figured if it was cold enough for a coat or jacket, a vest wouldn't be warm enough. This vest has totally converted me! It's perfect for weather when you would normally wear a jacket. It keeps the core very warm, while being light weight. It's also good to wear underneath another coat when it's frigid outside. Good on its own or for layering up!

This year's style (wavy diamond pattern) fits more snug in the bust area. Last year's style (hard-edge diamond pattern) fit me perfectly in size M (I'm 35 bust). When I tried a Large in this year's style, it was too big. The color (Tin Grey) is unusual, but looked very good on me (blue eyes, fair skin, various shades of grey in hair). I'm a trim 60 year old, and I live in these vests over tunic tops, leggings and ankle boots all winter long. Wish TNF would make a vest in a shiny pearl white color. Thank you.

I lost my black vest, so I immediately ordered a new one. I have this vest in other colors. I also have the jackets to match, perfect for early morning hikes. I can layer down and put them in my backpack

This is a great vest! High quality, feels good, and keeps me warm.

I bought it as an extra warm layer when skiing. Work great. light and not bulky. Keeps me warm and looks stylish. I like it so much that I wear it all the time. Easy to layer over a top and thin enough to wear under a coat.

I'm using on my early AM run. Just this vest and an arm warmers in 30-40* Was awesome & kept me warm entire 20mls+

Will wear as an extra layer of warmth.

Soft, warm, cozy. Looks great w/jeans or a skirt. Great vest for in-between weather when layering for comfort.
