Loved these except they run small and of course the half size up is sold out. Seriously at least half size up in all colors. I tried two different colors based on reviews and still size up

These are really nice boots but I had to return them because the toe box is almond-shaped and too narrow. I really wish shoe manufacturers would stop making toe boxes like this; this is not how most people's feet are actually shaped.

Believe it when you read these run small! I don't technically have wide feet, but some brands are too narrow for me. I hoped by ordering a full size up as people suggested, the boots would fit. Alas, they were still too narrow...but they were long enough. Back they go.
I'd also recommend:
Keen for arch support and a larger toe box!

My normal size just brushed my toes and going up 1/2 size was perfect. Sorel also managed the slightly better than average arch support in this shoe as well. Only reason not 4 stars is that I wish the tongue of the shoe was padded or lined in some way. It's just suede so can bunch if you don't pay attention putting the shoes on. Otherwise super comfortable.

Warm, stylish, and very comfortable. Definitely size up. I usually wear a 6 - sized up to a 6.5 and wished I would have ordered a full size up. They run very small.

True to size, super cute, super comfortable and pretty warm. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that they came with a "stain" on the top of the toe area. If I didn't need them right away, I would have exchanged for a new pair.

Love the boots!! I usually wear size 10. I followed other reviews to order half size up. It fit well without socks. With socks lil bit tight but still manage able but If you like to wear shoes that have room to wiggles your toes. Order full size up!!

I ordered the explorer joan boots for a warm/practical option for those "in between" winter days when its cold but not a complete blizzard outsize! I am typically between a 6-6.5 and based on the other reviews ordered a 6.5. They fit a little too snug without socks (toes are right at the edge) so I am returning for a 7 with hopes that I can start wearing them right away! I love the camel/grey combo. I have several pairs of Sorel boots that have held up for 3-5years + and hope these are no exception! Gave 4 stars because of small sizing/haven't been able to wear them yet.

Initially putting on the boot, it felt too short on the left. I have 2 other pair of Sorel Joan boots that stretched to a perfect fit, so decided to take a chance on these. After the first day, they are much better, but still a tiny bit short on the left. I think with additional wear, they will be fine. I wish Sorel would add just a tad more length without adding any to the width. They would be perfect at that point. I ordered an 11 and usually wear an 11. Going up to a 12, the fit is too wide and a bit long. They are really cute, comfortable boots and now I own 3 pair. Zappos is the best!!

Last week - after freezing at my son’s outdoor soccer practice - I decided to order these boots. Based on the reviews I went with a 9M. I am typically a 39/8.5M. I have a narrow foot but I don’t usually order narrow sizes. I found the boot to be soft, comfortable, warm, and overall a 9 was the right choice. I think an 8.5 would be too short. I have plenty of room in the toe box to accommodate a plushy sock. My gripe is that they were the last pair - with Zappos you run the risk of getting a previously owned shoe or a return. This pair had clearly been worn by someone with a long haired dog. A lint roller did the trick. But - I wouldn’t have kept them for this reason if I had paid full price. Since they were on sale and sold out most other places, I’m happy I snagged them while I could. Consider sizing up.

I normally wear a 5, and I have a narrow heel. I went with the 5 1/2, which was fine but offered no room in the toe box for thicker socks. I tried the 6, but it was too loose on the heel, and I sent that pair back.

I already have a great pair of utility Sorel boots that I use for rain and snow, this time I was looking for a pair of warm, comfortable and stylish boots to wear with leggings in the colder weather. These are VERY warm! No complaints there. They are also very comfortable and lightweight. After reading the reviews, I bought a full to half size larger (I usually wear 7.5 or 8, and bought these in size 8.5) and they fit perfectly. I think they are more stylish than most winter boots, although I’m not crazy about the fur sticking out of the top. So far I’m pleased with them.

I recommend going a full size up if you’d like to wear thick socks. Truly believe that, I went a half size up and they fit with some wiggle room but a full size up would have been perfect. I went ice fishing in them and they were comfortable and my feet stayed warm. They did arrive a day late and now that I’m writing a review I see they are $25 cheaper than when I purchased them last week. Bummer.

These boots are pretty comfortable but man are they small. i went up half a size and my toes are touching the ends and top of the boot, all around. I really like the thick, soft lining throughout although I suppose that is also what's cramping my toes. The footbed is nice and cushy and they are just comfortable enough I'm contemplating ordering the next size up to compare. Obviously I haven't worn them outside yet so I can't speak to how they hold up in the weather and terrain etc.

My 16yo has this boot in Quarry, and I wanted my own, so I got the Khaki II. I like them and wear these a lot -- perfect for walking/driving/running errands in winter. I wish it were warmer, though. Sorel is usually better on that with winter footwear. I'm still glad I got them, I just can't count on them to keep my feet warm if I'm outdoors for very long. Also, I read reviews and sized up.

Oops i already wrote a review but wanted to emphasize that they are NOT WATER PROOF! That's why I'm giving 4 starts. Comfy, cozy, lightweight and cute but after an hour of walking the dog in wet grass (in Los Angeles!) my feet are damp. And this is after I sprayed them with water protector. So that's a disappointment.

I love these shoes! They are the perfect combination of a boot with the comfort of a sneaker. I probably wouldn't wear them in a heavy down pour given the soft fabric they're made of. They are easy to clean. The reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is because the back logo patch started falling off about a month after I got them. I will say I wore them a lot.

I love these boots! They work with my special needs (I wear an AFO brace/orthotics) which is always a challenge for me with boots, plus they are adorable. They actually feel like slippers and I want to wear them all day. I sized up, and with my brace and orthotics, it's a perfect fit. The only thing I'd change is the tread - a little more grippy would be good - it's icy here all winter in central Colorado! Otherwise I'd have given them a five!

I bought these boots to wear in Vermont during ski season. I needed something warm and attractive to wear around town. I have a difficult time finding shoes that are comfortable, as my feet are small (6.5) but wide at the toes...and I have a high arch. I tried on the 6.5, but it was too small, so I got a size 7 and they fit perfectly - even with thick socks. The top part is fur-lined and the upper material soft, so it doesn't irritate my ankles. The color is a little lighter than the image and I am mildly concerned it will get spotty-looking after a hard winter, but so far so good.

I bought these great looking boots a couple months ago. I have gotten so many compliments on them since! I love the color - they go with everything. They are warm and I have gone on many winter walks with them already. I will say I ordered a half size larger than I usually do (I'm typically a 7.5 but I ordered an 8) - and they fit perfectly. I also will say that I ALMOST returned them because the tongue of the left shoe stuck into my foot in a weird way. It was not very flexible and uncomfortable at first. However, after sticking with it and not tying it too tight I've found it's worn itself into place so I do not notice it as much.

I bought these over Christmas 2020. The camel suede color and fabric are sharp looking. The boots are comfortable as long as I wear a thinner sock. My toes don't feel squished. I usually wear a 7 but glad I sized up to a 7 1/2. The laces are not fabric which makes them go loose easily. I can probably switch those out. But they do go with the boots.
