I ordered a half size up after reading reviews, but it was still too small, so I went another half size up and it fits great. Initially, I didn’t want to spend the money for these, but I couldn’t get them off my mind, so I bought them and am very pleased. They are comfortable and super cute.

Ainsley I so wanted to love you! Really I did! Right out of the box, you were so adorable... just what I wanted. Then I tried you on (with very thin socks, my dear) and you were SO TIGHT in the toe box that I could barely get you on! The length was actually OK for me. I am a typical 11, and I find that usually when reviews say to go 1/2 size up, of course we tall girls have no option there when you're an 11. But this time although the length was OK, the toe box was extremely tight and too low, if that makes sense. I knew you would not stretch (toe area is rubber-ish) and so I have to return you. So sad!

Nice looking boot. I have many Sorel boots & always size up half size for toe box room & socks. Never take a chance with fit.The Sorel Ainsley Conquest boot would b tight in fit, especially narrow if I had not. I got the boots in black & oatmeal, but oatmeal is a lighter color than the image & did not seem practical with style options as the black. Returned that one, kept black. Comfort factor is good, sole has good stability & of course it's waterproof--all pluses. I recommend this boot & want the brown, but it's sold out. Just a side note: Sorel boots tend to run narrow & sizing up half usually will care of that.

Most reviewers suggested sizing up so I sized up from my normal Size 5 to a Size 6. There is plenty of room in these boots and I've read that they stretch/loosen up a bit so I am trying a Size 5 and Size 5.5. Once I decide which is best, I will return the Size 6 and one of the others. Even with wool socks, they were roomy ... but not so much that they were uncomfortable. They are amazingly comfortable. And just as cute as everyone else says they are.

I am so happy I found these last minute for a weekend in Austin that was calling for cool temps and rain! We did a walking tour and I was totally comfortable and dry! They looked super cute with black leggings. The red laces add a pop/mountain look. Finally, I had a credit card snafu and Zappos service was awesome to work with me to still meet expedited shipping in time for my flight. My feet do run narrow - for me, the fit was perfect at my normal shoe size (larger, bulkier sorels run large for me - these did not).

I'm always looking for a good travel shoe, especially when I know I'll be walking a lot. I purchased this boot with that type of wear in mind. Out of the box, they feel very comfortable and I sized up a full size on these--I normally wear a size 7/37 in all shoes and boots but in this boot, an 8 (after reading reviews to size up, glad I did). They look cute with leggings, jeans, and cuffed pants.

Love these boots. I had to go up a size because of how narrow they are. But they are awesom and have gotten so many compliments.

It was difficult to make a decision on these boots. First I ordered size 6, a full size larger than my normal size 5, because of other reviews. Size 6 felt a little large. Not huge but just a little too long and wide. So I ordered size 5 and 5.5. Size 5 felt too snug. Size 5.5 felt better in the toe box but loose around the ankle. However, if I pulled the laces too tight, it wasn't comfortable. Back and forth I went between all the sizes. I finally decided that if it was that hard to figure out which would be most comfortable long term that I should return all sizes. And that's what I did. They are a cute style but petite women might find them a little clunky. That's how they felt on me. And for Florida weather, they are a little too warm. No regrets about returning then, especially with Zappos' superb service.

Agree with other reviewers, these run reaaaaallly small and narrow. I'm a 7.5-8, and own other sorel boots in an 8, but I could barely fit into the 8. I went into the store and tried on an 8. 5 which still felt tight. The 9 felt better, but was way too long. If you have narrow feet, they may work for you but for average or wide, I'd pass. And I'd go a full size up.

These are a narrow shoe in general. I did size up a half-size based off other reviews and I’m happy I did. For reference, I wear a 7.5 in both Nike and Sperry, but sized up to an 8 for these. I received these so quickly from Zappos. Ordered on Saturday and received Monday!

I ordered a half size up per other reviews and they fit perfectly. So comfortable and stylish. Just finished a 3 mile hike in packed snow and can go out for a beverage after looking great!

Super cute! They fit my slightly narrow foot perfectly. They were a bit tight in the toe box, but loosened up quickly. I love that they're waterproof. They're perfect for chilly weather. Highly recommend!!

Definitely heed the other reviews here and order a half size up! I initially ordered the size I normally wear in Sorels, and while I could get them on, they definitely weren't going to be wearable for any period of time. Sized up a half size and the fit is perfect! Wish I would have found these sooner, as I've been on a quest to replace a beloved pair of hiking shoes and love these so much more than the others I've purchased. Both utilitarian and stylish - I know I'll get a lot of wear out of these.

Fits and look is more like a hiking boot. True to size but snug so you won’t roll your ankle like a hiking boot style should fit. Wider feet may not like this style. They do break in right away for normal width wear and mold to your foot similar to a good hiking boot. Many compliments. I wear them in LA even when it doesn’t rain cuz we have maybe two days a year of rain in Cali.

When people advise ordering a size larger in these particular boots, they are right!!! I normally wear a size 5, having such small feet that most of the time I can only wear kid sizes (size 3 in kids). However, I decided to heed the advice of everyone else and go a FULL size up to 6. I worried that a 6 would really be too big, since I just love the look of these boots and didn't want to send them back. However, they fit absolutely PERFECT!! Normally a size 6 is far too big, but for these it is just right. Everyone knows what they're talking about... so size up if you plan to order! I recommend going a full size up, just like others have. Otherwise, they feel nice and look as great in real life as they do in the pictures (I got the brown ones). I can't wait to break them in!! They are MUCH more comfortable than the Timberland boots I bought. They are comfortable with a pair of regular gym socks, but I'm sure I could wear thicker winter socks without them being too tight. They are also nice and light, without feeling or looking cheap at all. They are great for the office with a baggy sweater and leggings or for a rugged hike in the woods; very versatile! Over all, I'm thrilled with this purchase.

These boots are great - comfortable (I followed other reviewers and bought 1/2 size up) and great looking. I wore them in the pouring rain recently and my feet stayed dry and warm. I haven’t actually used them for hiking yet but I’m sure they will perform well as the boots have good ankle support and are flexible.

I order these in black and LOVE them. I am not one to write a lot of reviews, but felt compelled this time. I also do not ever order the same shoes in two colors, but did that as well. These shoes have been great - versatile, comfortable, and worth every penny. I do have a narrow foot and see that some comments are stating that it is a narrow toe box. I vary between a 9.5 and a 10. I ordered the 10 and cannot be more pleased. I suggest order up a half size if you do have a medium width or wider. I love the style as that it is a bit rugged, yet stylish and cute. Tons of compliments and have been switching between the two colors each day with my outfits! My 19 year old just asked me to buy her a pair - I must be a hip 48 year-old is my guess.

Loved the look, and the padding. I think they would have been great, but unfortunatly they are too narrow for me and I will have to return.
