I figured these boots wouldn’t be the warmest as they are not lined, so I opted for 1/2 size larger in order to wear thicker socks in cold weather. When wearing thinner socks, of course, the fit is looser - almost, but not quite to the point of sloppy. This is due to the fact that the boot seems to be cut a bit wide around the top of the foot. It isn’t visually obvious, and the boot is still very comfortable. The boots are exactly the style I was looking for (a combination of Western/paddock/engineer’s boot) and - my must have - waterproof. My only caution, and the reason for removing a star, is the sole. The makeup of this boot’s sole was, unfortunately, not tested thoroughly enough before production. There have been several instances of my skating across tiled floors as if I were on ice (I wear these boots almost daily, so it’s not an issue of shiny new slippery soles, and they are ridged for grip). The first time was at a dinner/music venue. I walked across the wood-floored hall, entered the restroom and had to grab the wall to stay on my feet. I thought perhaps someone had been over-enthusiastic with floor wax, but none of the other women in the room had this problem. I couldn’t walk normally, I had to carefully slide my feet to get to the stall and back. The same thing happened in a restaurant and in at least one store ... I now pay attention to the flooring wherever I go. If it’s tile, I proceed with great caution, and I advise any other Lolla Bootie owner to do the same.

I never seem to write reviews but I always read them. Ordered these boots for a trip to Ireland. They arrived and I was only able to wear them one day before heading out on the trip. I did replace the insoles with gel insoles. I was able to wear these everyday on the trip with no problems and that is saying a lot. They were comfortable, waterproof and cute. I normally wear a size 5 or 5 1/2 in sandals but always order a size 6 in boots. My feet are wide so finding comfortable shoes is very difficult since most shoes do not come in a wide in the smaller sizes. These were wide enough in the toe box. All in all they were a great addition for my trip. I can honestly highly recommend them. They are not furry on the inside like some competitors but that was not important to me.

I typically buy my boots a half size up-which is what I did for these and they fit perfectly! Comfortable enough to wear with thin socks but I can also fit thicker socks on a really cold day. They have to be one of the most comfortable boots I have worn and I love the style. I have had them for a week and I keep changing my outfits to suit the boots so that I can keep wearing them. I wore them in the rain and my feet stayed dry. I love these boots and I don’t want to stop wearing them!

Runs small, super narrow

I love these boots so much that I bought them also in the the brown color. In my case they run true to size. I bought the black ones one half size up and it was bigger than I expected, but still comfortable. The boots have a cushioned insole that feels very comfortable specially since I have a very high arch. These boots also kept my feet warm. Very fashionable boot that I wear with dresses, leggings and even with long pants.

Love Sorel! I also have the tall version and they are both so comfortable. I am always a size 6 and had to order up a half size for both.

Seriously. These are beautiful boots. I’ve had several Sorel winter boots, but this is my first pair of casual shoes from them, and I’m really pleased. The quality, and comfort are better than I expected. The leather and finish are gorgeous. They look great with both jeans and a casual dress. I have super high arches, and will probably use an arch insert, but they’re still very comfortable, with no break-in period. As is normal with Sorel, order larger. I’m normally an 8-8.5, and I ordered a 9 which is perfect with socks. I live in Buffalo where it’s always wet and/or icy, and the grip on these is serious. Still waiting to see how they’ll fair out in the rain, but they seem super durable. Really, I’m so psyched about these that I may order another color.

Love these boots! They are so durable without sacrificing style or being clunky. They looks dressy but still have a bit of casual edge to them. And they have a slight heel but nothing to be concerned about which was my concern when I was purchasing. Wore the black color to work with a business casual outfit and can wear with a casual outfit with jeans. Buying the brown color now because I have to have two colors! This is going to be a staple boot for sure in Wisconsin winters!

I LOVE these boots! I have had them for over a year and I just pulled them out for the season today...still love them!! I think I want a different color, but the green has been a wonderful neutral to my wardrobe. I have an average width foot, and I always buy at least a half size larger with Sorel’s.

LOVE them. I find that I need to order a half size up with most Sorel boots, which I did with these as well and they fit perfect. I wore them for 8+ hours at work on day 1 with no issues. Super comfortable. Would be good for indoors or outdoors. Love the grip on the bottoms. I’m thrilled.

LOVED this boot. I was a little hesitant after reading the review about a slippery sole; but I've got quite a few Sorel products, and have never had an issue with that. I also went up half a size based on the reviews, and I'm glad I did; because they fit perfectly. They look stylish, super cool, and feel great! Looking forward to cooler weather so I can wear them.

Love these boots! I usually wear a size 9, but my friends told me to order a size smaller so I did. The smaller size in Sorels is a perfect fit. The arch is so comfortable, and above all else, these boots have traction for rainy Oregon days!!

Sorrels are usually a safe bet, but this boot was just a tiny bit too small. Cute style, though, and great soles, too bad! I'm usually a straight 11M, but this 11M didn't quite work!

Ordered my usual size and the boot fit perfectly. Unfortunately, the heel area felt really hard when walking. I purchased for an overseas trip where I'll be walking long distances. I'm returning these boots because they are not comfortable for me to walk long distances.

The boots have great traction and overall were comfortable. I ordered a half size larger and I felt like my foot was swimming, even in thicker socks. They were also a little too casual for what I'm looking for now. The green leather was a lovely color, but it didn't really match my wardrobe. I will try another style for Sorel boots in the future.

I love the feel of Sorel boots. I did have to size up from 9 to 9.5 and there is a little room for a thicker sock. The downside is i had hoped the leather was more like the Lolla Cutout which was a thicker smooth true black leather. This leather is more like a nubuck or suede (that must be what full grain leather means) and the color is the main reason I am not happy with it. It it has an olive green tint to the black leather. It does not go well with black jeans or black pants. Blacks can vary but this definitely has a olive tint to it. I may send it back for that reason. I wish there were more low boots/booties to choose from. Sorel seems to have so many wedges. I would buy this style in true leather.

Love these boots! However, first I ordered them a 1/2 size larger than normal... too big. Then I ordered my normal size (9.5) the left fit perfect! The right... way too tight across the top of my foot. I contemplated keeping them, hoping it would stretch or bring it in to have it stretched. But, if that didn't work then I would be out the $. So, unfortunately, they are going back. :(
