The heel is too wide. Returning

Would not recommend. After 4 hours of wearing my feet hurt. I have a bunion on both feet and the firm leather and the base was not soft and comfortable like my other Hokas

The regular Gaviota is a much better fit for me

They are tight on top of my foot and seem ver stiff.

The Gaviota leather shoe in wide does not have enough space in the toe box to accommodate orthotics and the heel feels too wide. I much prefer the Bondi Leather in wide width which appears no longer an option. I am very disappointed and will be returning these shoes

I love my fabric Gaviotas, but the leather ones were stiff and really uncomfortable. I ordered them in wide and still found them to be too binding. Disappointed! They seem like a quality shoe, just maybe a very long break in period which my feet can't handle.

This shoe was to be a 6.5 wide. It had the feeling of regular width. Have problems with neuromas in one foot & thought I would try the leather. I wear the other Gaviota with no problem

I use this item as a work shoe. Inadequate support.

I have two other pairs of Hoka One Ones of the same size. They fit fine. This pair is too small.

I love these shoes for walking and day to day use. The leather keeps them super clean. However, I would not recommend them for running. I ran a 5k in them and ended up with the worst blisters on the soles of my feet in this short amount of time. I have always loved HOKAs so I am a little disappointed in these shoes.

Have 3 pairs of Hoka, 2 Clifton and one Bondi. LOVE THEM! Thought I would try this style and I limped all over on my trip in Florida. Never, never had that happen with any of my Hokas. Will go back to Cliftons and Bondis in future.

I bought this because i love all my hoka's Bondi 6 and 7 Clifton Evo mafate But this leather Gaviota was stranged hard inside and i felt im going to have skin blisters. I want to give up and returned but seemed hard to return if payment method is afterpay, i decided to keep them and will try to brake in until i get use to it. Good luck to me.

I used these a few times and was very happy but now both of my heels, but the left in particular, are extremely sore. It's a similar feeling to the plantar fasciitis that I suffered from 20 years ago and I stopped wearing them but it's not going away. I stupidly threw away the box tbey came in because I thought I was happy until the heel pain set in.

First of all, I really wish that all of your women's models... and all of the various colors of those models were available in women's wide sizes. And I wish your sizing was consistent. I ordered the Gaviota in women's 8 wide; they were way too big. So I tried the women's 7.5 wide; way too small! I had the same problem when I ordered the Bondi 7. I have never had this problem with Hokas in the past. Something has changed!

I need a pair comfortable walking shoes to walk on the road. I'm very disappointed with Gaviota Leather as it's very uncomfortable, heavy, and the shoes are as hard as a rock.

Even though the shoe is light I feel like I was Clod-hopping in the shoes. My heal was slipping out the back even if I Ted the shoe tighter and put the laces to the last hole. I had to walk differently to make it thru the day of work.

I was introduced to Hoku about three years ago and I've always worn the Gaviota leather in a 9 1/2 B and love them! This time when I went to order the 9 1/2 B they were not available so I put myself on a list to be notified when they were back in stock. Never did get a notice so I ended up ordering a 9 in a wide width. When they got here I tried to wear them but couldn't . Hoku advertises free shipping and returns however if you don't have a printer you can't print a return label and therefore you're not able to send them back so here I am stuck with an expensive pair of shoes that I can't wear and I can't return in the 30 day qualification period. Can someone tell me if they're ever bringing the Gaviota leather back in tradewinds color or not?!? I have told everybody that I can possibly think of about my love for these shoes but am not thinking so highly of Hoku as I used to as a result of this experience

I play a lot of tennis, but also need the support of Hoka shoes for plantar issues. Problem is, Hoka's are not supportive enough for lateral movement during tennis. I was so hoping this stiffer, leather version would do the trick, but unfortunately they were just too bulky and heavy. Please make a good court shoe Hoka!

I usually buy biondi hokas and love them. So I read about Gaviota so I ordered them but they fit too tight across the toes. They hurt when I walk. Hokas have always fit from the minute I got them , these are just uncomfortable.

I was super excited to try this brand of shoe because I have CT scan and essentially I'm going to need surgery however when I purchased the shoes I noticed they were very heavy and very bulky almost as if I was wearing clown shoes

This shoe is too high and big for nature walks, it feels clumsy and I returned it immediately.

If of all you call it "Gaviota Leather" and the shoe looks and feels like plastic. Very disappointed when I opened up the package. Next, wore it for a few days and and hurts the bottom of my foot. Can't return them because I already wore them for a few days but can't wear them any more.

My purchase date was February 28 and receipt date was March 6. I tried online site to return because fit of this shoe was not right for me like the model 2 version. Although I was within my 30 day window I was NOT allowed to return these.

The shoe box is a narrow one rubbing my joints and creating pain at the end of the day. Will not recommend except if you can find a store where you can test different styles and sizes. This is the second one I return.
