Of the 10 pairs of HOKAs I own these are the most comfortable, which is saying something because my HOKAs are all comfortable. I have had all the iterations of the Clifton, and the Clifton 5 Knit is as good or better than its predecessors. Being super comfy and light weight make them a joy to wear.

The material is very comfortable. This brand was recommended to me by my podiatrist after a severe fall that broke 3 toes. They have proven very effective in improving my balance. I will be buying a second pair.

Great shoe overall, typical comfort and cushion from Hoka. Knit upper feels great, is light and breathable. It does run a tad narrow so if you need an E wide, go with the traditional Clifton 5.

Fits well, great cushioning. Unclear to me how different shoes of same type (ie, two Clifton 5s) can vary so much in cush vs firm in midsole. Found this to be true in Bondi 6 and Clifton 5. This pair was just right amount of cush and great ride.

THIS IS MY 4TH PAIR OF HOKAS AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SHOE. I'VE HAD TWO BACK SURGERIES AND I NEEDED SOMETHING THAT PROVIDED A SOFT LANDING. SINCE GOING WITH HOKA I'VE RUN PAIN FREE. I THOUGHT THE KNIT UPPER WITHOUT THE PADDED HEEL WOULD RUB A BLISTER BUT I WAS WRONG. THEY DO FEEL A LITTER ROOMIER THAN THE CLIFTON 4S SO MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT SIZE.

Breathable sock attached to a pillow, except you still feel fast. Please keeping making a knit version for future cliffton editions. These feel truly amazing.

The fit is true to size and I like the cushioning. I may try something with slightly more cushion, but I am 6'5" tall and 260 lbs. I am a big guy, and i appreciate the cushioning. I love the Hoka brand! I've worn the Clifton 4 & 5...

Fits well with no complaints. Upper is very flexible. The heel thus far is wearing much better than my Hupana 2s which are always comfortable but wear down too quickly to keep buying. Good substitute for Hupanas. Much more comfortable than Cava which was like running in cardboard and wore poorly.

I have been buying Hoka for 3 years now. I have not tried out this style before because it seemed to light and not enough cushion for marathon running...but so far I am enjoying the feel. My true test is running outside which I have not done yet...too cold.

I love Hoka's, but when I received my current pair of Clifton's I noticed a few flaws in the sole as well as some of the stitching that is loose. I am not sure if it is just this pair or if all Clifton's have the same flaws as mine?

I spent months reading and reviewing the Clifton 5. As a former Elite 5k, 10K and marathoner from the 80's. I have spent years looking for the perfect training shoe. I have to say the shoe was more than I expected in it's ability to absorb the miles of pounding on the pavement. I found myself going miles further on the first time out and every time since. I was able to run even when sore and usually would require a day off. All that being said. The main issue I find with the Cliftons are the advertised width. I have run in all name brands that have offered a width greater that and E. My main shoe for decades was New balance but over the last decade they have stability issues. Cliftons wides are only an "E" not 2 EE as advertised. If they hope to capture some of the market that Asics, Nike and New balance have in that area. Please make a true 2EE and wider.

These are the only cliftons I have purchased that are true to size as they are normally half size small. I like the knit version comfort but worry about durability of uppers ... time will tell. I notice that the clifton 5 was very quickly replaced with the Clifton 6 which is very worrisome.

It is a great show overall, the knit version heel slips with me but my colleague doesn’t have this issue. I don’t have a narrow feet and I felt slight pressure pushing in from the sides. I might consider going for the wide size.
