I bought these because I loved my Bondi leather women's size 9 shoes so much I wore them util they literally fell apart. I bought those a few years ago and I was measured/fit in a running store so I thought that I could just buy the same size I had on... I was wrong. Not only were they too small they were so small and narrow I could barely get them on, and they immediately hurt when I did. I obviously ended up returning them and
then I even had to get a different color since this color doesn't come in wide, that's stupid. Not only did I now have to get wide but I also have to go up to size 9.5. If bondi's weren't the absolute most comfortable shoes to wear for 10+ hours at work I would stop buying them, but they really are the best shoes once you find a new fit every few years.

I have only worn them three separate days. The next day my feet really hurt. I have three other pairs of Hoka sneakers and really like them. I would like to return them and try another type. Is this possible after I wore them three times?

I have arthritis in both big toes and have been wearing Hoka One One Bondi shoes with great success; they were super comfortable and cushiony. So when it came time to buy my third pair I bought them through Zappos without trying them on. This was a big mistake; the shoes have changed in a way that makes them hurt part of my foot, which I gradually realized after wearing them a few times so they are no longer returnable. In fact the pain they caused persisted for more than a week. Later I found a pair of men's Clifton 6 shoes in a store that work fine. I belong to a Facebook group of people who have this type of foot condition, known as hallux rigidus, and there have been complaints there, too, about Bondi 6. I don't know what Hoka has done to this shoe but they have messed up a good thing.

I wear these as my work shoes as a nurse I'm on my feet 12 hours a day. I have bought previous bondi shoes that were awesome this pair is less than a month old and the color on the foam of the sole is loosing its color and the cushioning seems to be gone already.

I am a size seven, a 6 is what fit me best but still was just terrible. Knee pain on the first run, how is that possible! Not to mention bulky, wouldn't mind the bulkiness if it felt great to run in. However, overall terrible buying experience.

Be careful about buying these shoes. I love the first pair--the most comfortable I have ever had. When I received this pair, they seemed to be the same. However, on the second day of hiking in them I developed a horrible blister on the side of my big toe. When I tried to figure out what the problem was, I discovered that the insole in that shoe does not fit in the shoe correctly. It is very different that the insole on the other shoe. It is rough and sticks up. I'm really disappointed.

I bought these shoes because I have a pronated right foot which causes hip pain, and sinceI basically walk for a living, I need extremely stable and cushy shoes. I am a waitress and work at a very high-paced, high-volume restaurant. I am in constant motion. When I first tried the walking shoe, it felt super comfy. But after a few days of work, my knee started hurting on my LEFT leg. I've never had an issue with that knee. My right hip pain worsened as well because the shoe did not support my pronated right foot.

I have the Bondi 5's and felt they a little too wide for me. When I saw the Bondi 6's came out and the toe box was more narrow, I so excited. I ordered my pair in size 8. I paid $26 for overnight shipping, that how much I wanted them!! I just received them and they are too big by half a size!! I should have known! I ordered a different type of Hoka's a few months back and they were also too big. My twin is having the same problem. I'm so frustrated, I'm not buying anymore.

I love the whole Hoka brand but I regret purchasing this because I wanted to get something I wouldn't need to replace for at least 4-5 months. Now, after only wearing on and off for two weeks, the sole is coming off. Don't purchase these unless they chop the price down. You'll need to buy some glue... so there's that additional expense too.

Not right for me. Yes, there is substantial cushion. But it is a giant slab of shapeless foam - no arch support, no curves that follow the line of of the foot. The cushion does not provide any energy return. For me it is like walking in sand (soft and slow).
These shoes are very roomy. My feet are average width, but I have to lace these so the lace holes are about 1/2” apart (as tight as possible) in order for my feet to feel secure. And that security only works from heel to arch. From arch to toe my foot is sloshing around.
If you like a flat shoe and an extremely roomy toe box these may work for you. Oh - the tread wears quickly on these. I have around 100 miles on mine and there is substantial wear.

I had 3 major, functional issues with this shoe for running:
1. This is a LOT of shoe. The shoe is just so bulky especially in the sole that I constantly felt like I was going to trip over my own feet and it really disrupted my running gait.
2. The base cushioning is so extensive that I felt like I was expending extra energy just pushing off in my stride. It reminded me of running in shallow sand.
3. The toe bed on these was actually too wide for me. I have had bunyan surgery on one foot and have always had wide toes and narrow heels but this shoe is simply too wide. I developed "hot spots" all along the skin on the balls of my feet after just a mile. I tried them several times thinking I could just "break them in," but it never got any better and I did not want blisters to develop.
I would have tried to go down a 1/2 size but that would have compromised the length of the shoe.
From a purely aesthetic view, as I have seen noted in other reviews, I think these shoes are really ugly. That doesn't matter if the shoe functions well but that was not the case with these for me.
My sister recommended these shoes because she loved them. She has had multiple foot/toe surgeries and said this is the only really comfortable athletic shoes she has found, so these will definitely work for some but they did not for me.
I'd also recommend:

My wife bought the Bondi 5 last October. She needed a comfortable pair of walking shoes after her knee replacement surgery. She is a casual walker, usually walking between .5 miles to a couple of miles every day or so. These shoes were perfect...until they started falling apart! The soles have literally fallen off in pieces on both shoes. Pretty sad for a casual walker, can't imagine what they would do for a serious walker. For the price of these shoes, that is completely unacceptable.

I bought, tried, returned and reviewed the Bondi 6 six months ago. I want to downgrade my review from a 3 to a 1 star since I cannot find another shoe as good as the Bondi 4 and giving it 3 stars is misleading. The current shoe is not as cushioned, stable, nor optimized for foot strikes as the previous version. Please bring back the quality and technology used previously. Below is my original review - I'm still waiting for the next Bondi version and really hope it returns previous technology and design.
October 2018
"I experienced forefoot pain at one mile with the Bondi 6 shoes. They do not seem to protect the forefoot area as much as the Bondi 4s. The forefoot seems to fall forward further before the early rocker protects it. I could 'feel' the ground more and experienced pain. I'm ready for a new pair of Bondis but will wait for the next version. Style wise, the Bondi 4 sole design was better at camouflaging the thick sole of this shoe. However, I'll sacrifice style for function to stay active."

I love Hokas. I have the Bondi 5, in a size 8, and they fit perfectly. So I bought this in a size 8 also, and it's very small. My toes felt squished. It can't be a width thing, as my feet are narrow. So I had to return them. I bought the Mach 1 in a size 8 and it was about an inch too long. So the Hoka sizes are sadly not consistent.

Fit and size was great. I'm glad that I found Zappos. I couldn't find my shoes in solid black anywhere else.

I bought these shoes for training for a half marathon. they came highly recommended by the running shoe store. After 1 run I had a blister near my big toe. I thought it was a fluke , however I get a blister in the same place every single time I run. I think the toe bed is too wide for my foot. I'm going back to my Brooks. I have never gotten a blister ever from any other running shoes. Very disappointed
