These are extremely cushy shoes. For me, this took a little getting used to, still deciding if I really like them. I have shin splints and thought it would help, but I don't think they are helping that issue. I also have high arches, these shoes provide no arch support for me. I still have to insert additional support. My friend has a pair and loves the amount of cushion they provide for running. He does not have high arches and feels that the support is sufficient.

I bought these at the recommendation of my podiatrist. I had a total joint replacement in my left big toe and a partial joint replacement in my second left toe in 2017. This surgery was a disappointment because I still cannot bend my big toe and the joint replacement is much bigger than it should have been and stick out requiring a wide toe box at true minimum. This style of Hoka does not have a wide enough toe box unfortunately so it is painful to walk without them rubbing on that joint. They otherwise do help with my issues of not being able to bend my big toe.

If you have high arches, I recommend the Clifton 6 rather than the Bondi. My mother and I both felt like we were tilting backwards.

you either love Hokas or you don't. I do but this aqua was a bit too much for me in my size.10.5.. felt like the jolly green giant and decided to exchange them for something a bit more mellow.

I wanted to keep these shoes for jogging and walking, but the fit was just a little off for me. They seemed wide at first (7.5 size in medium width, my usual size) and then seemed to rub some at the sides of my toes (which makes no sense since they look very wide). The rocker sole is noticeably different from a typical running shoe, and I wasn't sure how it would be for knee pain. They also had a little less cushioning than I expected, given the high ratings by running shoe sites for cushioning. I could have given them a try, but then decided I should look for something that fit better.

I am a runner with foot problems and my podiatrist recommended these. They have been a life saver for my runs! However, two pairs now have ripped along the inner foot near my big toe. Actually the rip quickly runs the length of my foot. I had hoped the first pair was a fluke, but my second pair just went. It takes several months for this to happen, but I have never had a running shoe do this. I will keep buying these because I love them, but I wish Hoka would fix this flaw!

I decided to try these after my sister who has arthritis in her feet loved them. Since my pool is now closed, I have been walking every day.....not my norm! So far these are very cushy yet supportive. I am not sure that I will like them as much as my Brooke’s Glycerin but only time will be the judge. For now they are very good for walking on pavement and do not aggravate my knee replacement.

I can’t wear Them for power walking. And Expensive for a standing, shopping shoe. The ball and heel Areas are cushy. But, There’s this odd Hard hump well beyond the arch area. I Put a soft insole, which helps. Typically, my go to cardio shoe is Brooks. I’m wide at the ball, and narrow at the heel, like a duck ??.

I work at a doctor's office and am constantly on my feet. I also have picked up running again, so I run about 5-10 miles a week. These shoes are PERFECT because they fit both of my needs -- I practically wear them every day. They are so comfortable and cushioned; however, I noticed that the mesh started to rip near the inside of my big toe after only a couple months of wear. I was slightly disappointed because I expected a high-cost shoe like the Bondi 6's to be more durable and withstand wear better.

The shoe's sole is extremely comfortable. I have been wearing HOKA for four years. My favorite was Vanquish 2 but they no longer make it so I had to switch. I decided to try this model. I notice many changes HOKA has made on its shoe. For one, the tongue is alot shorter and less fuller. The length barely allows you to tie it so that there is some excess to cover the top of your foot. The end of the tongue is enough so that it just makes it. My previous shoe's tongue had plenty of filling and length. This shoe doesn't. Another change they made is that they reduced the amount of fabric around the ankle area. You no longer have that "deep feeling" around the ankle. I feel like my foot is not in the shoe at all. This causes me my foot to slip in and out as I walk despite me trying to secure it with the lace. There is plenty of toe room though and it feels a bit wider than a normal medium but I wear heavy wool socks with them so it works out for me. I decided to keep them because my old Vanquish are too old. These have a great deal of cushion throughout the entire bottom of my foot. I wish they had not shorten the tongue and I wish they had filled the sides of the shoe more, especially around the ankle like they did with the vanquish. I also wish they had not remove so much fabric or support on the heel. Yet despite all these wishes, the cushion helps my knees and for this reason I will keep them but will look at other possibilities in the future.

Love how cushioned they are! The are a little narrow in the toe box for me, though I’ve never had to order/wear a wide before. Otherwise I love them.

Because the sole is so thick, these shoes are a little clunky-looking. But they are extremely comfortable. In addition to having a wide foot, I have a large bunion on both feet. The shoe has stretchy fabric at the point the bunion touches it, making it very comfortable. The sole is the most cushion-y of any shoe i have ever had. Right out of the box, they were a delight to wear. Because of the thick soles, I felt a little wobbly at first but quickly adapted. Would definitely buy again.

This has got to be the most comfortable shoes for me! Due to plantar fasciitis and metatarsal pain, it’s such a challenge finding shoes I could wear without pain, even with my customised insoles. With this pair, it feels like walking on clouds, but still with some form of stability, hence it does not affect the biomechanics of the body. I use them for my daily life and also when going on tours. Nothing else come close to them! The shoes felt chunky, but they’re not heavy at all. I find the design for the coloured ones ugly, hence I opted for black. Black makes it look less chunky and slimming. I had to return this pair as the recommended size was tight for me. Had to go up half a size. After sizing up, the fit is just perfect. Love the wide fit, it accommodates my wide feet really well. One small flaw, the back of the shoes are little low, hence it doesn’t hold the feet as well as shoes with higher backing. Hope Hoka would fix that for the next pair and come out with casual shoes with the same footbed!
I'd also recommend:
None. Only Hoka for walking shoes!

These are really comfortable shoes. It's hard for me to find shoes that work with my hallux rigidus on one foot and morton's neuroma on the other. These do that. My only beef with the shoes is that they are not at all feminine--they're rather dowdy. But comfort supersedes dowdy.

I was really hoping for my feet to feel pillowed because they always hurt, but the shoes felt hard inside. I do think as they warmed up, they got softer. The fit is just fine, and a surprise bonus for me was that the toes turn up so much I don’t fall from my dropped foot suddenly dragging and making me trip. They are very ugly shoes, especially in my enormous size 10, but fortunately, at my age, I don’t care a whole lot. I just wish they were as cushy as I expected.

I’ve always liked New Balance for my wide feet.

I wear a 2E width in Brooks Adrenaline GTS and I was so hoping that the Wides would work in this Hoka shoe, but they were not quite wide enough. Almost, but not quite. I loved the shoe and I wish they made it in extra-wide.

The fit is a little different than the Bondi 5. Something with the heal - a little bigger or something. I can't place my finger on it. I've only hit the road running in them twice, but both times my heal slips out more than usual; despite various variations of lacing them. Also occurs with just walking. I want to love the shoes, the jury is still out on the fit.

These are very cushiony however, even the wide doesn't fit my feet. Wish they made an E width for women because I like the style and comfort.

This shoe was comfortable the moment I put it on. I normally am an 8.5, and I have a wide foot. From other reviewers advice, I did size down a half size, but I still got the size 8 in a wide. I also need to be able to fit my orthotics in there so that’s another reason why I went with the wide. I have very arthritic feet so I needed a lot of support. My doctor recommended this brand and they fit the bill. I graded down a little on style because the style is not as sleek as I would like. But, I am 50 years old and am picking comfort over fashion. My feet will thank me as I am walking all over Barcelona next month!

Overall I'm happy, these feel very comfortable. I got the Hoka Bondi 6 because they were recommended by someone in an achilles tendonitis support group. I do need to add heel pads - my foot sits very deep in the shoe which you can't really see from the outside of the shoe. Also the shoe is bumping up against an ankle bone or foot bump or whatever on one side of my one ankle, again because the sides are sort of high. But it's soft, and the toe box is roomy. These are not fashionable looking but in all black I figure they are hard to see and comfort is the bottom line for me. I also recommend the Hoka Recovery Sandal for those with achilles tendonitis.
