The fit was fine, and they have a very comfortable foot bed. I've worn other sandals with this toe style and not had problems, but this one didn't work for me. The leather is stiff, which would soften over time, I'm sure, but until then I wouldn't be able to tolerate the painful rub. I'm really disappointed because otherwise they were great and what I was looking for. And I do like Born's footwear for it's durability and (usually) comfort.

I was very disappointed with these sandals. They were much smaller than my size 6 and were sent back . Tight fitting . Not the right fit . Uggg

Shoes are too tight and narrow and the seam on the footbed is uncomfortable as I can feel it with my toes. Too bad I wore them outside and can’t return them now.

I really like this shoe and I have many Born shoes, all 7B, but I am confused about the width on this one, nothing like my other Born shoes. I have an average width foot, not slim, but not at all wide. The front of this shoe, in the toe area is cut narrow, leaving your toes spilling over the sides, with no lower strap to hold them in. I liked the leather a lot, and it seems to be very well made.... so disappointed!

Hurt the bottom of my toes.From the first step, as I stepped down the bottom of my toes hurt. The place that rubs & hurts is where the cushioning meets the leather on the outer edge.

I wanted to live these. They gap on the top of my foot and I can feel like the seams under my foot. They also don't look as good on my feet as I hoped.

They are very nice sandals, the leather is beautiful but they were too small. I’d order a half size up next time.

I loved the look and style of these sandals, but as other reviewers have mentioned, the edge of the leather at the end of the top was right under my toes, and it hurt! The footbed was cushy, so without this design flaw, I would have worn these sandals regularly. Regretfully, I had to return them.

I am a lover of Born, but not these sandals. The mesh lining and stitching on the footbed feels awful. I wish Born would go back to all-leather footbeds. For that alone, I'm returning these.

I have always been a fan of the Born brand, and really wanted these cute sandals to fit. However, I just couldn't deal with my toes riding on the stitching. Too uncomfortable for my delicate tootsies! I haven't given up on you, Born. I just need to try a different style.

I returned these sandals because the footbed had a strange mix of mess and leather which I found most uncomfortable. I also found the stitching rubbed where it contacted my foot. I wore them around my carpeted home areas off and on for a few days, but never found them pliable enough to wear for more than 30 minutes. I love Born shoed usually so was surprised these were very stiff and just not something I thought I could "work out" over time.

These are beautiful shoes and I loved them except for one thing-there was absolutely no arch support. Because of that, I knew they wouldn't be comfortable for extended periods of time or distances, so unfortunately, I had to send them back.

The foot bed is two different materials and just felt weird. I was expecting the full Leather footbed as usual, not this hybrid. Sent it back

These felt tight on my feet, despite the fact that I always buy a 10 in Born sandals. The leather straps were tight across my toes, although the leather itself was soft and supple and would likely loosen up in time. Generally speaking, these shoes lacked style. They are being returned.

I loved everything about these sandals except the comfort. The foot bed is soft, but there are seams with the leather and the softer material that hit, rub and irritate. So sad to have to send these back

I love this style!!! I ordered both colors (twice) hoping, and the Born Sorja. The Born shoes have fit me like a glove for years. (I’m a grandma). It seems lately Born is making the shows a bit less generous. If you look at the footbed you will notice a cushion...it’s comfy but where the cushion meets the leather there is s ridge because the leather is higher. It is very uncomfortable because they did not make the footbed large enough for a “perfect size 8” there is no 8.5 and the 9 was way to long and did not fit around the foot snuggly. If you are a half size go for it and size up!!! I have another pair of sandals with this footbed from 20 yrs back that I wearoccassiknally over summer and they are truly a longer and have s larger footbed. The toes rest comfortably and there is a perfect transition of fabric to leather. No wearing on the toes or foot discomfort. Great shoe. Cute, but short changed in the cutting corners to save a buck. I hope they see this and fix the problem. The Sorja is a bit larger but the patina on the leather is blah!

simply the worst fitting footwear I've ever bought. I have born boots and they're very comfortable. So I was extremely upset that on the first wearing of these sandals It felt like there was sandpaper on the inside of the leather And if I'd warn them for any length of time I would've lost skin.And though I wear thonged sandals every season, The thongs between my toes were unbearably painful. if you've had trouble with shoes rubbing against instep, stay away from these sandals.

Cute sandal. So uncomfortable! Not uncomfortable in the actual fit of the shoe, but rather, the sandal is sewn with the stitching seams running all along the inside of the where the bottom of your foot sits. That, plus the weird fabric in the middle feels and looks like it will start snagging up on everything and looking horrible, plus, that built in fabric shape is one more bumpy, seaming thing for the bottom of your foot to sit on. Very strange. I returned.

These shoes have a rough, raised seam, all the way around the interior footbed. They were terribly uncomfortable. I returned mine.

Because of the padded footbed I could not get this shoe on my foot. It is far too tight. I have 3 pair of these shoes from last year - they do not have the padded footbed - they are super comfortable. So I am sorry to have to return this shoe as I doubt another size would do. The color blue is beautiful and true to what you see on the website.
