Excellent under-pronated shoe, with one exception. I have had 3 pairs and each has punched a hole in the top of the shoe where my big toe is (right foot) , the soft fabric will not hold up to toe pressure upward. If you are under-pronated this may be an issue, fix - simple reinforce the top fabric at the front of the shoe. Still excellent shoe!!

I have bought many pairs of Asics Gel Cumulus shoes. The major thing I am after is cushion upon my heel strike. I seek this crush distance to lessen the shock to my knees and hips. Years ago I feel the shoes were better at providing this. Being NEW helps (compared to older, more worn, shoes. But the last few pairs have not felt as "Cumulus Cloud" like.

I knew that ASICS, like most running shoes, tend to run a bit small on size, so I ordered a larger size than my standard. The result fits well and is very comfortable.

Good shoe for it's price point. I wear a 1/2 size larger compared to what I wear in the Numbus and the Kayano.

I bought 2 pair back in January to rotate them cause of all the running I do. They don't hurt my feet and I have used one pair for an 11 mile trail run. Very stable running shoe

If you plan on using these for running, and you want a thumb width between your big toe and the front of the shoe, get a full size bigger. If you want it to fit like a little more snug than that, get a half size up. Other than that, great shoe.

I have been wearing Cumulus models since version 12. The one major are of improvement over the 19's is in the ankle area. The 19's had way too much padding in that area and the shoe would rub against my ankle bone. The 20's feel like they have a less cushion though. I am not sure if these will become softer over time so these may not be idea for those who prefer a more pillowy ride (like I do).

I've run in Cumulus or Nimbus shoes for years. Zappos is awesome about getting the products in the mail promptly! Kudos to them. Asics needs to listen to their customers when it comes to size selection! Not everyone has a standard width foot. I have to wear 4E and there is almost NO choices in colors or styles in this size. I can, and did order, a 2E this time but prefer a 4E. It's pathetic that the manufacturer only offers Black, White or sometimes a combination with silver. What? No greens, blues, reds, yellows, oranges, etc? I think it's sad they don't offer much for choices in the 4Es. Otherwise, the shoes perform and last as expected.

I've been running low to mid distance in these for about a month and they are a good choice. They are a little narrow for my foot and I'd consider getting a wider selection next time around

I've had a earlier pair of this shoe a couple of years ago. I really liked the fit and durability of the earlier pair so I bought another having tried another Asics pair in between. As mentioned by others, my newest pair seems to be running a bit short. Not enough to compromise comfort but I did notice it on first trying them on. The width is fine (which is of critical concern to me). They also seemed a bit stiff (nothing that created an issue) but I believe that this is because they are brand new.
I use my shoes for day to day walking and not running. My last pair of these lasted for two years of everyday walking and errands. I liked their durability and comfort.

Asics shoes seem to be more narrow and smaller in length than they have been in the past. The reviews don't exaggerate, order a bit larger than you normally would! A good shoe, though.

Good steady shoe, not too flashy but able to handle the road. Good everyday training shoe

I have always thought of asics as being a brand for dads and while the style isn't something I would wear, they are some of the comfiest shoes I have worn. It feels like you are walking on a cloud and provide me the ability to run long distances without having sore feet/legs afterwards.

I have to be honest, I have never owned a pair of ASICS before and was a bit skeptical, mostly because I didn't know much about them. These shoes are so comfortable and I didn't have to break them in. The gel makes it easier to stand on my feet for 10 hours. I love these shoes! I received these free in exchange for my honest opinion.

These came out early at one of my local stores and I was able to take them for a spin. So far, so good. Very comfortable and the fit is snug but right where I want it.

These shoes look and feel great. When I run in them it feels like I'm running on a marshmallow. Very cushy and soft! I would recommend these shoes to a fellow runner. there are a lot of brands to choose from out there. ASICS has always made reliable gear.

I wish they kept it similar to the rear/mid of the 19 and just widened the toe box...

they fit fine but it gets very warm in there after 25 mins of running. must be the mesh that is much denser than other ASICS pairs I've used.

Way different shoe than previous versions. Seems to be more flexible and gets my forefoot more involved which is a transition for me. The softer rubber seems to show wear faster than other versions.

It is a little less stable than the 2019 version. But still has good cushion. I wonder if I will get less miles out of them.

Asics appears to have discontinued the GT Xpress, which I loved. I am trying to replace them. The GT 1000-8 was my first attempt and the Gel Cumulus 20 was my second attempt. GT 1000 is closer in terms of cushioning, particularly under the ball of my feet and toes. So returning Cumulus and keeping 1000s.
I'd also recommend:
I kept a pair of Hoka One One from this most recent shipment. I have also had some Nike shoes.
