I’ve been running in the Cumulus for the last few years. I’m a low mileage runner (10 miles a week or so) with a neutral strike and chronic PF. I previously had the Cumulus 18 model before wearing them out and moving to this model. They are lighter than the 18’s and more true to size. The 18 and the 19 supposedly ran small. I don’t think these do. The footbed feels more rigid, but it’s not uncomfortable at all and gives some bounce. Overall I’m very happy with them, and I felt that it was an easy transition from the 18.

These shoes, unlike the many pairs of ASICS I've purchased in the past, are both very short and very narrow. I tried them for two hours of tennis, and it took three days for my feet to recover. Buy larger than usual.

ASICS notoriously run small. But my husband typically wears a 13 in this brand. But even this style ran really small and he had to order a size up. The 14 fits great!

Take out of the Box - and go running / exercising .... Super COMFY & did not require any break-in period - I literally took out of the box, tried them on (sure liked the comfy feel) and rode my bike a few miles to the gym, did 5 miles on the Elliptical and rode my bike home - my feet were very Happy I got a SUPER QUALITY SHOE !!!

The ASICS Cumulus GEL 20 is my newest purchase from Zappos. My first purchase was the GEL 16, and then GEL 18. I started buying this brand through Zappos several years ago when a trainer recommended the company and that they would have the cross training sneaker that I needed for a man of my size (6’2, 240+ lbs) and frequency of use (6 workouts a week). In addition to the support and endurance from heavy use, I wanted a shoe that would be comfortable by fit, light weight to wear, and cool for my feet. Oh, and one that was good looking as well. The expression, “You get what you pay for”, holds true for all three shoes I purchased from Zappos. The Cumulus brand sneakers last an entire season of approximately 240 days of exercise, and since I use them only indoors, they maintain a “new shoe” look. These are after two weeks of wearing.

Great shoe. Walked 5 miles in them the first day, with no break-in. My feet loved them. Zappos ordering and delivery was flawless as usual.

Excellent support. My ideal moderate-mileage running shoe.

The past couple of years, I had to swear off ASICS shoes after wearing Gel Cumulus or Gel Nimbus models for nearly 20 years. The company had started making them narrower and longer. I'm happy to say ASICS changed whatever they had been doing recently, and these fit as they used to. While I'm no longer the runner I used to be, I still wear them for everyday and for walking about 25 miles a week, so I go through them fairly quickly, and I got tired of starting from scratch a search for a decent shoe every time I needed a new pair -- roughly every 6-8 mos. before I relegate the old ones to gardening or painting shoes.

I have a normal width, size 12 inch foot and that hasn't changed since I was a teenager. The 12 however with the Asics GEL Cumulus 20 was too small and my toes were right up on the front edge of the shoe with no room at all. However, the size 13 fit me perfectly and had some room for my feet while working out and performing cardio exercises. I just wore them today to the gym and my best compliment I can think of is that I completely forgot they were new shoes over the hour I was there!

I would order a half size larger than your normal size and they should fit perfect.

I’ve been using the Gel Cumulus style for a long time and got this pair when I had to update from my last. Since they’re not the cutest, I got some colorful laces to go with them. They’re the most comfortable running shoes for me. The men’s style has a bit of extra width in the toe area, which is fine if you cinch up the laces. The women’s styles have better colors, but are not as often available in my size (12 women/10.5 men).

The ASICS shoe last has always felt the best of major brands on my feet. Size 14 shoes sometimes fit or not based on the brand. ASICS 14s have started to feel small. (The Sendai II was good at size 14.) I was concerned that this 15 would be too large, but it fits perfectly. The shoe is extremely light and very comfortable on my feet. I don't run, but walk about 16 miles a week, bike ride and play table tennis. Don't know yet how well they'll hold up.

Fits great, good support and flexibility for running. Doesn't feel bulky or heavy.

I have bought 3 pair of the Gel Cumulus 20 shoes - 2 pair for me (69 Years Young - Physically Very Active Military Retiree / Vietnam Veteran) and 1 pair for my youngest son (40 Years Young - Very Active Elementary Principal ... ***** WE BOTH LOVE THE GEL CUMULUS 20's - took out of the box and started the daily workout routine - LIKE RUNNING ON CLOUDS !!! Without a DOUBT - these are the BEST SHOES I HAVE EVER PURCHASED !!!

Haven't had them long, but they feel great right now. Responsive and plenty wide for my feet. Got the E. My wife was surprised that my feet didn't bulge over the sides like usual.

Good fit, excellent comfort and stability.

Shoes fit half a size small. I normally wear a 9 in Nike, Brooks, or Saucony, and I had to exchange these for a 9.5. The shoes themselves are very comfortable - the heel cup is well cushioned and doesn't press against the Achilles or ankle bones. The toe box is not the widest or most flexible, but it's sufficiently wide to avoid pressing toes together, and the mesh is flexible and breathable. I've worn this for runs at several different pace targets; the shoe feels well cushioned at slower pace long- or recovery- runs, and responsive enough for everything but track workouts or races (and depending on your pace, might suffice for those as well). Having worn Asics in the past, I expect this to be a high-mileage workhorse, and nothing I've seen or felt yet has given me any reason to change that opinion.

They feel amazing! My heel is in a stable position, a mild spring in step, mild cushion, and cool design. But this is my first gel cumulus 20... we shall see?

unfortunately I am not able to give a review on the shoe, only on my experience. I tried 3 times to get the right shoe and fit, and I had to return all 3 pairs I received. the first pair was too small, and returned them with no problem. When I received the replacement shoe in a larger size, it was the wrong color, but they fit great and I was able to return those, for yet another try. I received the 3rd pair in the same size as the wrong colored shoe, thought since the other shoes, surely these will. I was wrong, the shoe was too small again, I checked to see if they sent the original size instead of the larger one, but it was marked the larger size. I gave up after 3 tries and returned pair 3, and received a full refund. customer service was great, and they overnighted the 2 replacement pairs. Was really looking forward to the shoes, but it just didn't work out. I'll still be a Zappo's customer, it was just one of those unfortunate situations.

Felt very small and narrow even though I ordered a EE. Need to exchange for a size larger.

Too narrow from the front. Toes got squished.

Had the shoe for less than two months, and used it for only light activities but it ias already falling apart. The sole is peeling away from the bottom of the left shoe. Durability and quality control is much too poor for a shoe in this price range.
