This shoe has ample room in its toe box which usually wouldnt be ideal but it makes it work. It has amazing stability and even works off road if you want it to. Extremely durable as well, even after 150+ miles on them, if I gave them a wash, they'd look almost new. They are even an excellent casual shoe is you wish to get it for this reason. However, the thing that displeases me is the fact that the shoe is promoted as a ,"cushioned", shoe. It is not one. I have tried pavement, road, off road, gravel, grass, and even sand but the shoe lacks the support that I usually expect from shoes that are promoted as cushioned. I'm a relatively light runner, 126lb, and put in anywhere from 60-75 miles a week. Despite being light and needing less cushioning overall, I still find the shoe to be excessively firm to the point that I developed shin-splints for the first time in my life. That being said, I am a forefoot/midfoot runner and I do realize that the shoe does not have DNA Loft at the forefoot. I have tried to heel-strike to get the full experience but in the end it made the experience worse. I had to drop the shoe after only about 150 miles and am saddened that this shoe, that I was looking forward too turned out to not be a worthwhile investment. I love brooks and their shoes but this is one of their products I cannot praise.

Disappointed! Thought 11s would be like 10s but not as comfortable and especially dislike the extra long thin laces.

I'm on my third pair of Brooks and this is the first time I've been disappointed. My previous pair had a one piece tongue and was fine. This pair has two different materials and the seam where they are joined presses on the bone of my foot and hurts long after I take off the shoes. I'm going to have to toss them if I cannot do some surgery on the tongue to make it smoother so it doesn't hurt. It's a tongue for heaven's sake, why two materials?
