My Brooks Ricochet shoes are worn daily in a job that requires me to be on my feet for the majority of the day. I do not use these shoes for daily running, working out, etc. Any shoes I wear must be lightweight, breathable, supportive and accommodating to my orthotic heel inserts for plantar fasciitis. These shoes are WINNERS.
Sizing ::: I found the sizing to be spot-on. I typically wear an 8.5 Medium, and these fit exactly as they should. Room for my toes, yet snug enough through the entire shoe to stay securely on my foot.
Fit ::: Comfortable and supportive. At first, I was unsure if I’d like the knit-style sock collar, but I have been happily surprised; no rubbing or discomfort. The tongue of the shoe is nicely cushioned without being too bulky. I also really like the flat laces; they seem easier to tie than rounded/tubular laces; they hold their shape & don’t come untied as frequently as other shoes I own. I feel like the toe box on these Brooks Ricochet shoes may be a bit wider than other Brooks I own (Adrenaline GTS 17, Levitate 2, Launch 5). No break-in period required; they feel great straight from the box.
Styling ::: I have the Black/Hot Pink color, and despite the hot pink at the heel, this color combo is a bit dark. But since I’ll be wearing these through the fall and winter, I don’t mind that. These shoes definitely reminded me of Brooks Levitate 2 shoes, from the silver rubber on the sole, down to the knit-style sock collar.
Wearability ::: I’ve been wearing these shoes for nearly 2 weeks, and I can wear them all day without my feet/legs feeling tired. The materials are lightweight, and the foam of the footbed almost feels like it springs me forward when I walk. Good traction from the sole.
Thanks Zappos (and Brooks) for another winner!

These shoes not only look great, but fit great as well. The back of the upper heal is a knit which seems to conform to your heal for more of a custom fit. I also wear Brooks Launch and Glycerin and find these to be equally as comfortable.

I chose these Brooks Ricochet because I don't love the look of the new Revels, and have also read mixed reviews about the comfort. I absolutely loved the Revel 1 for the comfort, support, and how soft it felt while I was running. The style was nice too! I also abandoned the Adrenalines after the latest 1-2 updates. They felt heavy and clunky.
As soon as I put these Ricochets on, I knew they were likely going back. The "sock" look of the ankle area looks like it would be soft, but it actually dug into my heels and there was also some discomfort on the inside of my ankle from the shoe. I wore them to Orangetheory today (I don't run outside at all, only at OTF) and they were OK, but didn't feel as cushioned as my Revels. I love the style and color that I got, but that's about it. They're going back today.

I have been wearing Brooks Launch for years so I am kind of comparing to what I'm used to wearing. The Ricochet has a more streamlined minimalist fit. It wasn't quite sock like. I found there was a little gaping at the inner arch area. This shoe was comfortable and true to size compared to other brooks styles. I usually wear 8.5 to 9 in regular shoes and these were a 9 and fit well. I wore them on a 4 mile walk right out of the box and they felt great. It's a little more firm on the foot bed than the launch but seemed like a very responsive shoe. This style has a new elastic band around the ankle. My socks were high enough to have the band rest on my sock. This may rub if you wear low socks. I think the top of the Tongue is also a firmer feel so may rub if not over your sock. The laces on this shoe are flat and grip very well to hold position which I think is a plus for adjusting your fit and having it stay secure. Very nice shoe. Will be interesting to see how the ankle elastic holds up. The area at the ankle usually wears through on my Launch models but doesn't effect the ride or comfort.

Very cute and stylish! Equally comfortable and I feel like I’ve got a new bounce in my step! Super happy with my purchase. Also they arrived very quickly!

I love my Brooks- but NOt this style. The collar around the ankle is irritating to the skin, and if you wear a low sock, it pulls the sock down into the heel. The rest of the shoe fits comfortably, like other Brooks. I will only buy the ones with the standard heel padding, but there are several with this odd ankle collar. Definitely not comfortable.

I have relatively flat feet and the arch support was decent without hurting. These were very comfortable from day one. No breaking in was needed. They fit similarly to others I’ve worn of this brand and the toe box was quite roomy.

Love love love these brooks! I was a little skeptical after reading reviews about the shoe rubbing my ankle, but that hasn’t happened at all for me. They are so comfortable, and a great addition for my running shoes.

I always buy workout shoes a half size larger. With these shoes, the toe box is a bit wider than usual for Brooks. That said, I love them and Brooks is finally adding style to their shoes. I don't even look at any other brands anymore.

I do not give a 5 in comfort because I had other expectations. The first pair of brooks I owned were Ghost 10, bought them to train for a marathon, I felt like running in the clouds, maybe because the main feature of this is not cushion it does not feel the same and i have to get used to it.
So if you expect to run in the clouds maybe this is not the shoe for you, you feel springy and touching the ground to run faster (?)
Regarding the style, this shoes are beautiful.
Do not get me wrong, they are comfortable but not as ghost style. Maybe because they are not for runnjng long distances

These Brooks Ricochet running shoes are perhaps my favorite running shoes to date. I am a fan of Brooks and currently have 2 other Brooks brand shoes (Adrenaline GTS 18 and Launch 4) which I also like a lot, but the Ricochet have the edge in terms of comfort. The sole is flexible but supportive, and the shoes is light but does not feel flimsy. I have not been able to run mid or longer distance in these shoes yet (only a few miles on the treadmill) because I am recovering from a foot injury (plantar fasciitis), but they were supportive and my foot was not aggravated by this short run. Walking around, they were comfortable right out of the box, and I have received many compliments on the style. I have been wearing a size 8.5 and they feel true to size. Arch support is good. Highly recommend these shoes.

I was disappointed that these shoes felt a bit too small in the toe. My big toe is rubbing against the end of the shoe. I bought a pair of these 6 months ago and they fit fine in my usual size (10). So back they go. I also purchased the Levitate2 and I will keep those. They feel great. Otherwise a very stylish and super comfortable running shoe. Great color!

Loved the look of these trainers, the colors and shape are so neat
I ended up returning them due to a sizing issues. I have previously worn 8.5 in Brooks Ghost and ordered a 8.5 thinking same brand same fit. As the model is different I found these to be too big. I also tried an 8 which were better fit and wouldve kept however in the end I reverted going back to purchasing Ghost 12. Just a note that one size in a model wont necessarily be the same fit as a different one.

I love this shoe. It is a sneaker, but has a little more style to it. The customer service at Zappos is the best.
They are so helpful and just plain nice.

Perfection! I love Brooks but I also love neutral colors. I was looking for a good shoe with no white or light colors as it would look dirty far too fast. Great support. Fast shipping and laces were perfect laced and ready to wear. Great job Zappos and Brooks!

I really liked the color of this shoe (navy/blue/white) and the stretchy collar. I ordered a 9 (my usual non-athletic shoe size is 8.5) and the 9 was too small. I ordered 6 pair of shoes to compare. I think if I had ordered a 9.5 to try in this shoe I would have kept it instead of the Saucony Breakthrough 4 I decided to keep. But since it was too small it is going back. I will remember it, however, next time I replace athletic shoes as I'd like to try it out in the proper size.

Love the Brooks Ricochet! I have been a Saucony wearer for the past few years, so I did not think I would like these as much as I do. I get so many compliments on the look of the shoe itself . The pink is very bright, the contrast against the black is so noticeable. Shoes feel pretty light and are comfortable for every day walking or a run. Feel true to size and width is true to size to maybe a little narrower.

I’m so sad these don’t fit well. I am a 7.5 and the 8’s are just that 1/2 size too big. They opening of the shoe rubbed on the back of my ankle causing a red line in the first 30 seconds around my living room. Sad to return because the concept is SO cute but I don’t want to wear high socks and can’t handle a blister on my heel/ankle.

Like the other reviewer, I was surprised that the knit cuff around the ankle was so hard. Expected more of a sock-like feel. The part where the laces attach to the cuff rubbed on my foot and would've driven me insane, so they were returned. These feel much sturdier and supportive than other knit top shoes I've tried. Hope they work for you!

I really wanted to love these because they look really nice, they are much more stylish than Brooks normally are. They were supportive but light however, they have one problem that made me return them, the weird stitching around the ankle rubbed the back of my ankle and was uncomfortable. I didn't want to risk wearing them and not having them break in so I sent them back.

Fit & size was good but the comfort was not as good as I would expect from Brooks and at this price point. I only run on a treadmill, maybe 1.5 miles 2x a week and I felt these lost their cushion in a few months. Spent $40 on insoles to bring their life back as the rest of the shoe was still brand new.

The design of this shoe is awesome. Brooks nailed it with the sprinkle ones. However, the design of the heel prevents a solid lockdown so they slip. It’d be okay for walking but I wanted to run in them so the fit doesn’t work for me. I’m not sure if sizing down would help so I decided to return them.

Shoe has a "sock-like" band around the heel, it is not snug but on the right heel it rubs. Maybe just my feet, but not comfortable so I have to return them. The left foot fit just fine and that is actually my bigger foot.
