Although these NB's fit, compared to my in usual size this 4E is a little wider. They feel slightly loose all around but not to loose to wear by just lacing a little tighter. Been buying NB for years so I have had the same size fit before. Having said that I would still recommend these shoes.

I have tried several New Balance 16-Ds... Most were too narrow in the toe area... these were just right. I like the grey sole area... it doesn't get as dirty looking as the white.

Finally a wide New Balance shoe that really is wide. I stopped buying New Balance because they have become more narrow the past few years but decided to try again after reading the reviews of others. The sole is a bit stiff but some break in should help.

Too small which is a first for New Balance. Back they go!

Good looking shoe at a good price, but the the wide (4E) isn't any wider than a normal width shoe. I gave it the high marks because it appears to be a good shoe... but it doesn't fit, so I have to return.

The toe area was too short and narrow for me. Length and overall width seemed right for the size. Because of toe area I am returning.

Less comfortable than previous purchases. Too narrow and poorly padded.

Toe box is way too narrow. I usually wear D widths and my feet are not too wide. Disappointed with NB with this pair. It feels like the toe area tapers a little too much.

Toe box feels narrow. I dont have broad feet, but a regular D width the 510v4 feels narrow.

Toe box needs to be larger, feel that it is tapered....

Normally in a size 12 “standard” width is ok for my feet. Unfortunately these were too tight for me width wise, had to return them. Wish I’d ordered the extra wide!

Ordered a wide (D) shoe. Definitely did not feel like a wide shoe; felt like standard width.

The height of the toe box is way too big/loose (I bought the EE version, which fit fine for other shoes/brands). I ended up returning this pair because of this.

Loved the look of these shoes, but even with trying two different sizes they seemed to have a ridge (stitching?) in the toe box that hurt my husband's toes. We had to return.

I got these for my tween-age son who has very wide feet. He found them to be great shoes -- very comfortable, versatile, and nice looking. We were quite happy until after about six months, the stitching around the front started to give out. A few months ago, the shoes really started coming apart. The construction was really shoddy. And as bad luck would have it, we seem to be between growth spurts, so the shoes still fit. He could have worn them all spring if not for this. Actually, it's kind of embarrassing, but he is still wearing them. It really pains me to have to replace shoes while they still fit. But I can't fault the style or comfort.

I normally wear a size 10 4E and the toe box was way too snug. I thought about going up half a size, but the color is a lot darker in person than on the page. I wanted a lighter brown and this is definitely, like it says, a chocolate brown color. I found the shoes stiff and difficult to walk in, but it would not prevent me from trying other New Balance shoes. I like their products for the most part.

Perhaps my mistake ordering these attractive walking shoes in "extra wide," but they are really EXTRA wide! I found after the first wearing that they were swimming around on my feet! The good people at Zappos were kind enough to issue a return authorization.

This EW (EEEE) shoe squeezed my EEE feet from the sides and the toe box was snug enough to cause blisters with a thin sock.

was good looking shoes of good quality but hurt my feet. Maybe I cant wear trail shoes or should order 1/2 size larger in that type.

These shoes run 1/2 size too short on the toes but the medium width is more like a wide with a large, high toe box. Hope this helps.

My son wears a 4E width. He only wears New Balance, since he has yet to find another brand that's wide enough. This model, however, runs narrower than some other NB styles, so need to return it.

These shoes are very narrow near the ball of the foot. The right shoe is noticeably tighter than the left. The black version of the shoe looks good.

The toe box is shorter and tighter than my medium-wide toe box fit. Otherwise the fit of the shoe is right. Bummer to have to return.
