I use this product to go to school. I've been using it since school has started nonstop and I'm loving it I definitely recommend it to my classmates and friends.

Excited to use it for all of college it was well worth the pay i know its going to last me I couldnt really ask for more in a backpack

Great quality backpack! Bought for my 12 year old daughter who carries a ton of things all day at school from class to class. Very roomy and comfortable. Pads on the back make the heavy load easier!

I was a bit miffed about the price, but when this backpack arrived I could see the quality. It is sleek and well constructed. Lots of areas for my high school freshman to get organized. This will last her through high school and beyond.

Hi absolutely love this backpack. I love the two deep pockets on the sides. Large enough for my laptop and multiple binders. It would be near perfect if it had an insulated front pocket to keep snacks cold while on the go.

I am currently studying abroad in Europe and this bag has really made traveling so easy and awesome. I have been able to pack everything I need in my backpack while having it still feel lightweight and comfortable. My backpack is also super stylish so I love showing it off. It has really been a life saver while traveling.

I LOVE IT! I use it for school, outside activities and everything else I can think of. It's large enough to hold all my gear and the straps are SO COMFORTABLE! No more back aches! Very sturdy and excellent quality for the price.

We loved the North Face Borealis back pack, but with lockers not available at my daughter's middle school, we needed something a little bigger. My daughter is very happy with the Surge backpack. She says there is plenty of room for not only her books and computer, but for all her supplies as well.

This is a fantastic backpack for high school. With a laptop, lots of notebooks and textbooks, this is the one! I carry a nalgine bottle with me and most other backpacks cannot fit those bottles in the side pocket. This side pocket is very expandable material and works like a charm! Could not be happier with this backpack!

I'm a doctorate student and I abolsutelty love this bag. It's stylish, comfortable, and holds all the necessities. I was worried reading reviews that it would be too small, but it's not small at all! Would absolutely recommend!

My daughter was so excited about her backpack. She wore it everyday until school started. This is her first NorthFace backpack and it didn't disappoint.

I bought this backpack for school this year and for the many travel plans I have already made for this year. I have bought multiple North Face backpacks over the years, and they never fail to hold up and stay in pristine quality all year long. The Surge has tons of room and many pockets that are very helpful. The tech pocket is absolutely wonderful because it holds two laptops and has a tablet sleeve. The only drawback I have found to this backpack is its shoulder straps are not as comfortable as the straps on previously purchased North Face backpacks. Overall a great buy, and I will definitely purchase this product again.

My daughters are 1 year apart in high school. I bought the 2nd this year because it carries ALL of their books and laptop. They never get to their locker during the day so holding everything is important.

Very roomy and well made. Looking forward to many years of use.

Purchased for my high school daughter who needs a solid back pack that she can use all day. Great size and pockets for water bottle, lunch box, etc. Pack is a bit heavier then others we looked at but it is made well and zippers are strong so that must add on some weight.

I am in professional school, so I carry around my laptop (sometimes 2 laptops), a lot of accessories and heavy books. This backpack has all the room I need, and it is very comfortable. I especially like the two outer pockets. I actually chose this backpack because I needed side pockets to carry my two 30-ounce water bottles, and they are great for that. I feel like my laptop is secure and protected. There are plenty of compartments. I have also gotten lots of comments on the color pattern.

This has been the best pack ever! I use it for work. I am a retail buyer so I carry my computer and lots of catalogs all the time. This is great for day to day as well. I'm able to put everything i need for the day and then some.

I purchased a Surge backpack for my son 2 years ago and it still looks brand new. He is not easy on it, so that is a testament to this product's durability. I've been so impressed that I purchased another for my daughter this year. The white and minty teal colors are really pretty. This backpack is large, so there's plenty of room for books, computer, binder, lunch bag, etc. I'm looking forward to not having to buy a bag every year, since I know that this one is going to last! It's worth the extra money in my opinion!

I am a Pre-Med student, so majority of my life revolves around studying. I have searched for the 'perfect' backpack forever and this one does the job! It is super durable, stylish, great water bottle pockets, laptop sleeve with protection on bottom, and so on! Allows me to carry all of my heavy textbooks comfortably for the whole day. It is a bit pricey but definitely worth every cent!

I don't ususally write reviews but I felt like I had to for this backpack. It is by far the best one I have ever owned. The colors are pretty, there is a lot of different compartments, and it looks nice and is comfortable to wear! Also, there is a lot of padding so if you carry a laptop, you don't have to worry about damaging it. I have to admit, it is pretty pricey, but is definitely worth it!

Love the product. Think the straps could be thicker for more comfort on the back but so spacious and great for travel
