Great backpack! Lots of storage for laptop, tablet, phone, large water bottle. Interior storage is plenty for binders, books etc.

Love it. My favorite part is the separate compartment for my laptop. There's actually a divider so it has two pockets back there. I use it for my laptop, and then something else like a book or a file folder, which allows more free space in the main compartment!

I am a junior in university, and I commute 45 minutes via train three times a week for classes. I'm studying international business, so I needed something that looked professional and classy, and I knew that I didn't want to splurge as much as I would once I start working. Taking 18 credits in a day means that I'll be on campus from 9am till 9pm, so I have room to fit my big lunchbox, laptop, books, change of clothes (from professional to workout when I go to the gym in between classes), and a ton of water bottles! This backpack makes me feel secure in my commute and lengthy day.

I am a college student and use it daily. Fabulous organization, nice side water bottle holder, stylish and durable!

I use the product for college. It fits all of my books and laptop for the whole day.

Bought for my daughter for high school. She has had back surgery so comfort is a must! She loves it! It's sturdy and well built. It is not flimsy and balances well for her.

I use this bag for college and it holds all of my books greatly. It is comfortable and I love all of the organization with the pockets. The laptop sleeve is also very durable and I am comfortable in keeping my laptop there. I have always gotten a bag from North Face for school/commuting and the Surge bag is by far my favorite!

this is for my daughters new year of school. She is so excited to use it, it has plenty of pockets and more than enough room. She has room for all the essentials like her laptop, pencils, lunchbox, books, her large water bottle and so much more. A great year ahead at school!

I use this product while at college. The great comfort it provides while being able to carry what I need while walking or biking a lot is a huge plus.

Bought this for my girlfriend since hers was stolen from her car in Sacramento. We are a TNF couple and believe in the products. I knew I couldn't go wrong in purchasing this one. She loves it AND I got brownie points too!

I bought my first north face pack before I started college. It got me through nursing school 7 years ago. It's been to to over 6 countries and helped me hike Machu Picchu. It transitioned from school to my favorite travel accessory over the years. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago my pack was stolen. With a heavy heart, I bought another green pack to replace my old one. This one has the potential to be even better because of all the added improvements that have been made over the years.

Perfect backpack!

I love this backpack! It is so roomy which is great for me as a full-time college student. The design is really durable and I think this backpack will last me a really long time. Definitely worth the money!

COLOR: NEW TAUPE GREEN LIGHT HEATHER/TWILL BEIGE The color is really more grey than green, but still looks awesome. I have to carry a lot in it for clinicals and even my lunch too. The many pockets helps me pack it good and the support helps with the weight. The only down side it that while on my back its kinda big lol but thats it.

Haven't used it yet since it is for my daughter to take to High School. But it looks great. Strong, comfortable and stylish. Will update this after a few weeks of her using it.

Excellent bag, perfect for every occasion

The website photos do not do it justice. It is far more beautiful in person. A lot of folks seem to be complaining about the straps. I've had the Recon backpack and can say that the straps on the Recon are better/more comfortable than the Surge. However, they aren't uncomfortable either. Overall, the back is great and provides tons of room for a college student.

Awesome bookbag! I have recommended this to others because of its functionality and design. My only minor complaint is that the water bottle holders are not the greatest and easily accessible but they get the job done and I wouldn't trade this bookbag just for that. Highly recommend!

The look, comfort, practicality of this backpack makes it a winner for everyone.
