I use this backpack for school purposes - I'm a college student. I like that the pencil compartments are located in the main compartment because it makes it easier to grab the necessary materials. I also really like that it has a laptop sleeve.

I bought this backpack for my high school daughter and she is very happy with it.

I use this to carry my school supplies and it is heavy with everything in it but there is SO MUCH ROOM! and so comfortable that you'll forget how heavy it is

If you're looking for a backpack that can hold your entire life and still look good while doing it, look no further. The jester is perfect for a college freshman who needs to be comfy while carrying a laptop, two textbooks, and a notebook (or whatever) back and forth across campus, and needs a weekend's worth of clothing for laundry trips home to mom and dad's.

Super excited to start off the second semester with this new cute and durable backpack!

I have been using the north face backpacks for school 4 years through out high school. This is my second back pack I have bought from the north face. They are long lasting durable and always fit as much as I need whether I'm goin to class or packing a bag for a trip.

Great bag, just sucks that it doesn't stand up on its own so it's either laying on the floor or propped on a chair or table leg.

I have 3 jackets and I love every single one of them including the backpack as well

I love this backpack, it's less weight on my back verses my other backpack and while still in high school you're always having a heavy load and this was the best purchase I made.

My 17 year old daughter picked this item out and LOVES it. Her intent was to use it for school, but she recently went hiking with a friend and found that she could comfortably carry her water and other supplies in her backpack. The friend carried one that was "cute" but in the end not comfortable, nor was it functional.

I would use this backpack for light school work and travel.

I'm currently a freshman at SJSU and I commute. I take the light rail to campus and then I would have to speed walk to my class. Previously, I used a one pocket Jansport backpack but as of the first week of school I already started getting upper back problems, lower back problems, and my clavicle would hurt also. I noticed a lot of students had North Face backpacks so I took that into considerations. My friends from high school that also happened to be commuters converted to North Face and had nothing bad to say about it. So of course I purchased a backpack. Right away, I put my notebook, agenda, pencil case, calculator, and laptop in to see if it was comfortable. The back support helped tremendously and the padded shoulder straps were a blessing. I also liked how the backpack has water bottle holders and a place to put your jacket. San Jose is very inconsistent weather so when I have morning classes it is 60 degrees outside but in the afternoon it is 90 degrees out.

I use for school

Perfect for college campus use. It's comfortable and versatile enough to hold books and supplies but also items for day hiking in the mountains.

I use it everyday for school and all my things nicely. I love the two compartments because they keep me organized.

I use this every day commuting to and from school and work and It's fantastic. Since I live in a rainy city, it's helpful that it's waterproof and even though I'm soaked when I get to work, my books and computer are still safe inside my bag.

This backpack is perfectly padded for the use of a laptop and the pockets are abundant and fit nearly everything I need. Love the color and will be using this over and over again!

Love the look but the padding is where I was sold. Holds a lot of books plus it's comfortable.

Good quality

doesn't hold as many books as I would like but it does the job. Wish it was a little larger but it is very comfortable compared to my previous backpack.

I bought this backpack as a gift for my husband because he wanted a new backpack to take on our upcoming vacation. Most of the backpacks were way too large and we just didn't need the features they offered. This was the perfect size, very lightweight, and the colors are great. It's exactly what he wanted!

I use it for school daily

I purchased it for my son who was complaining that he outgrew his previous Northface bag, he was very happy with the amount of extra space there was and that it didn't look too bulky on him (he's only 11)
