I had been shopping for a backpack for a very long time and finally came to the surge, I ride a motorcycle daily about 50 miles so I needed something very comfortable on my back with enough space in it to carry all of my supplies for school while carrying my 15" laptop and some items for the gym. It's all fits perfectly and while the bag does get heavy the weight is distributed very well and is comfortable to walk around with all day long. Will definitely reccomend this backpack to everyone looking for a bag! Thanks Northface !!

This backpack is amazing! The size is unimaginable and it looks very slick. It is perfect for college with all my books and folders. It took a couple of days of wearing to get it broken in (like a pair of boots), but now it is very comfortable and nice to wear.

Spectacular product from The North Face! The key feature that the Surge Backpack provides is protection for my 15" MacBook Pro! And not only is there a pocket for that in the back but come to find out I can put my IPad mini in the shallower sleeve and then my IPad Pro in the next protected sleeve! Wasn't expecting the pockets and space. Another sweet addition is some of the pockets are a soft gentle material for items you want a little extra protection for. The upper and lower chest abdomen straps are perfect especially if you are on a bicycle or in my case a motorcycle and the back plate breathes well and is supper supported. Hey The Northface.. you guys nailed it on this product. Exactly what I needed and the price was perfectly set as well. Thanks!

I bought this for my husband. He loves it so much! He loves the compartments and how comfortable and durable this backpack is. The backpack helps him to keep his papers/books etc. organized. He commutes and travels for his job, and he says this backpack is exactly what he needs. It is just PEFECT! I do own not one but 3 NorthFace backpacks, but I want to buy a woman-version-Surge for myself!

I use this backpack in college. I have a pretty long walk to class and the comfort and lightweight feeling of the back is outstanding.

It has been a fantastic backpack for college so far. It is able to hold all of my books and 15.4 in MacBook Pro so it can hold just about anything.

I use my backpack for university, and it has been great so far. It holds my laptop, books, supplies and water bottle very snuggly and compact which makes the backpack look very small (and can be smaller if you adjust the side clips). Only downside is that the backpack will fall over (if you set it up straight), so you'll need to lean it onto something.

I commute to and from school every day and all of the organization and roomy pockets are perfect for all of my stuff. The side water bottle bottle pockets are big enough to hold all of my water bottles, while still being tight enough so I can run to catch a train and my bottle won't fly out. The waist/chest straps are very sturdy and comfortable, so it will be good for hiking in the future.

I use this pack for college and it honestly does the job perfectly, fits my 15.6 inch laptop with ease and has lots of space for books and binders galore

I use this bag everyday as I am currently enrolled in school, I can fit almost all my books and laptop in at once while still having lots of room. All the side and little pockets are great for pens/pencils, phone, wallet, and fuzzy padded areas for my sunglasses

This backpack is amazing. It holds everything I need. There's so much space. It's a great bag for school if you have a laptop or not and it's also a really good travel bag, the perfect carry on bag.

I use it for the school year to carry my textbooks and laptop and find it very comfortable. I really wish it came with more pockets. It comes with a lot already, but I just really like pockets.

I mostly use this bag for school and it exceeded my ecpectations. Multiple Pockets for holding pencil or your other valuables. Very Comfortable, I wear it all day and I've never had a problem. Has mire than enough to hold my laptop, iPad, and other books and binders. I would definitely say you should get this bag, you won't be disappointed!!

Lots of room inside the bag. I will use it for school starting high school this year, all my stuff has room pluses some to spare. Great bag pack. Glad I bought it.

I purchased this backpack specifically to use for my everyday business commute and travel- laptop, ipad, chargers, paperwork, etc. I also own another North Face backpack that I use for hiking, camping, outdoors, etc. so I wanted a second one that I could keep clean for work and also had specific compartments for electronics. I am not a laptop bag/briefcase kind of person so this one is nice enough to bring into meetings but also functional for everyday use. This is exactly what I wanted!

Tons of pockets for everything that I use. More than expected space too. Great product. I would buy it again.
