I loved the style and fit of these boots but after 3 months of use completely fell apart. Especially when comparing to older generations of ariat paddocks, these just do not hold up. In the past I have gotten up to 5 years of heavy use out of my ariat boots but this pair completely fell apart after only a few months of light riding use. the heel on both boots fell off and the leather around the crease grew tattered to the point of having holes in both pairs which allow dirt and debris inside the boot. Would not recommend to others unless only used for very light, aesthetic use.

I bought the Kendrons in June-2018 to replace a pair of Ariat paddock boots I've had ~15 years. I loved them at first, but they just have not held up as well as I expected from a pair of Ariats. Tbh, I feel as though they wore out about the time I got them broken in well :(. In late July/early August-2019, I noticed the soles of the Kendrons (especially the left one) began pulling away from the leather part of the boot (see 1st and 3rd attached pics), and there is severe cracking in the leather around the toe cap (see 2nd and 4th attached pics). Presently, the sole has pulled apart from the boot even further, so much so that when I hose my horse my foot is thoroughly saturated and there is standing water in my boot (it took 3 days for it all to dry out last time worn; this will be a problem in the winter). What I find particularly interesting is that the Kendron boots have not come remotely close to seeing the use the 15 year old pair has, but are in worse condition in less than 2 years (see 1st and 2nd pics for a comparison of the wear on each pair). I bought the old pair in 2004 when I was a riding instructor, so I was in them all day, every day and they've lasted 15 years (and still keep my feet dry). While I ride 5-6 days/week, I'm now an amateur and am only in the boots ~3-4 hours/day (i.e.: much less use than with the old ones). Furthermore, the Kendrons were hardly worn from July-2018 to December-2018 because I was injured and couldn't ride much. Thus, in the total of ~17 months I've had the Kendrons, they've only seen regular use for ~12 months and they're falling apart. I have several pairs of Ariat boots (paddock, tall, Western, etc.) and have never had this happen, so I don't know if I just got a bad pair, or what. I'll still buy Ariat brand as I've had good luck with them until this pair and am hoping this is a fluke, but I won't buy the Kendrons again (I expect my boots to last longer than these have). Incidentally, I bought the Kendron half-chaps that match the Kendron boots, and those are holding up just fine.
