These are comfortable and well-cushioned, but just too wide around the ankle.

I bought these for doing Cardio DVDs on a carpet. The bottoms have little for tread and consequently they slip.

Not my favorite. Feels loose around the upper foot and ankle. Does not give the support I was hoping for.

So soft and cushiony, but the high top prevents me from being able to do all the dance moves in class. I can't bend my ankle without scraping against the front of the high top, causing rubbing and a blister. I still think the support is great and they're very cute looking shoes.

This shoe provides good stability for walking and cross training however in my opinion has a design flaw. The Velcro strap at the top of the shoe becomes less tight as you workout. It doesn't have the extra piece that you can loop the strap through to tighten the strap securely. Therefore, as you're working out it loosens, which means you have to stop your work out to tighten the Velcro again. I have a pair of the previous design with the extra piece and the strap stays secure.

I love these shoes but they break easily. Haven't had them for about 2 months and shoe is ripping by toe

The sneakers fit well, but the velcro strap does not work well. It sometimes loosens. The previous style where the velcro was across the foot rather than the ankle was a much better fit. I do wish Ryka would bring back that style.

I love these shoes when they are new, but after a few months, the fabric tears. I have written reviews before and have seen other reviews complain of the same stress tears, but somehow, those reviews are not published. More reinforcement need around instep and even more laces higher up could help.

I thought I would like this shoe more, expecting it to have extra support because of the higher top. The fit is much looser compared to the pair of 'Declare's' I bought at the same time . My foot feels less supported in this shoe.

ARGH. So frustrating. I'm looking for a shoe that I can wear in a Zumba class - something with the structure of a running shoe but a more slippery sole, so it doesn't drag on the floor and hurt my knees when I turn. I also needed a wide shoe, and I haven't been able to find any wide dance sneakers, so I bought two types of Rykas (the Devoting XT Low and the Mid) based on reviews saying they were good for dance classes. Nope. Not only are the soles just as sticky as a running shoe, these shoes were weirdly short. I'm always an 8.5, but in both Rykas my toes were jammed up against the inside of the shoe. Back they go.

I purchased these thinking they would be as good as the Ryka Tenacity Cross Trainer, and really because I had no other option as this version of Ryka shoe is no longer anywhere to be found. But I do love this brand so I thought that this would work just as good for my Zumba class; unfortunately that was not the case. My feet hurt everytime I make a jump and I don't feel secure when making high impact steps, I have to tie the shoes a little more tight than I should have to, just to feel safe when doing my high impact Zumba steps. I also don't feel like they have much ankle support, but kind of figured that would be so because the shoes are mid level shoes (to be honest I was hoping I would feel at leat a little of support, but I didn't). So sad because I really had high hopes and wanted to like these shoes .

I love the high top because my heel stays in place. However,I would prefer that the shoes lace higher, and the velcro be lower. I have to tighten the lace often. The previous model was better.

I am a true size 7. My whole life buying shoes has been easy. So when I say these are larger than described, trust me, they are. In addition, I have narrow feet and these feel extra wide as well. Definitely returning.

I should have trusted the other reviews but I took a leap of faith because these shoes are super cute. You'd think things made by women for women would be composed of much higher quality materials. Unfortunately, this is not the case. I got these for dance but there is little to no support even with the ankle strap pulled tight. The shoes are creaky because of the cheap plastic materials that were used. It's pretty embarrassing to have adorable shoes that sound like you're walking on rubber chickens because of poor design and cheap materials. Beware donning them anywhere other than the safety of your own home. They don't hold up to vigorous daily usage like I expected from an athletic shoe. They're still cute and I still use them for low impact, private dance sessions, but that's about all they're good for. Not a serious dance or athletic shoe. If they want to be serious they will invest in higher quality materials and better research on foot and ankle support for dancers.

After months of online "window shopping" purchased a pair based on the description. I have little to no foot arch and weak ankles and need support without having to deal with a lot of foot-ankle devices in order to workout. Only thing is the shoes are a perfect fit and would have like a wide width. Also they don't have the loop closure and the ankle strap is short. I can't get a snug closure around the ankle. Somewhat disappointed that I didn't get what I paid for per the description. I really wish they would not discontinue but come back with a new improved version

I love the design and have heard so much about this shoe in the fence fitness world. But. I'm not impressed by the too-wide fit, placement of the lace holes (don't go up very high to support the ankle), and lack of cushioning. These are the most expensive Rykas I've purchased but they feel cheap and clunky.

bought this a few months back, in search of ankle support for all activities..it seems no one has given this concern any real thought. I don't care what it looks like, I just need it to perform! the mesh is already coming away from the molded rubber, and the laces are cutting thru the plastic triangle support! for the price, I expect a better built shoe. I can buy cute and stylish for way less.. I'm very disappointed in a company I put such faith in, women for women, and all that.

I bought these shoes because I needed a comfortable shoe that came up over my ankle. I work on my feet on concrete floors so and my ankles are often swollen and tender. These shoes are very comfortable for sitting and standing.... not so much for actually walking. The soles have a very squishy feel and there is a good bit of instability with every step, so it feels like I have to work extra hard to move forward. Like walking in soft sand....However, I wonder if this may strengthen my ankles in the long run..
I'd also recommend:
Merrill, Keen, Birkenstock

Toe box very tight in shoe although I ordered 1/2 size larger than my shoe size which is what I always do with athletic shoes and normally the fit is perfect.
