I'm a professional flight attendant and use this bag weekly. The design is awesome and well thought out. The execution, however, is poor and the bag does not stand up to any sort of rigorous use which is what you expect from an Eagle Creek product.

This is a very good quality bag and if minor changes are made I would spend more than double the amount of money to buy this vs other brands. (Delsey, Samsonite). I own same size Samsonite carryon as well and it is almost 2.3 lbs lighter than Eaglecreek which for carry on is significant. Delsey and Samsonite have similar material (semi-soft) so not sure if the quality comparison cane be made fairly untiil they are all used for about a yr or so... Compartments on Eagle Creek are designed for ease of use and access where as the other two don't have any external compartments!.
Things to watch out or improve on Eagle Creek Bag:
1. Wheels make way too much noise while rolling unless you are on on carpet.
2. Several times the bag started rolling on its own because the parking lot was uneven and/or on a slight slope...
3. The external two belt clip are really useless. They should be either elastic so when no in use, they don't flap around and get caught it conveyer belts etc.
