Perfect size, weight, easy-rolling, can carry a surprising amount of gear. Works great with packing cubes. I love this suitcase.

I wanted a bag that was functional, rolled well (high priority), sufficient space, lightweight and would hold up to almost weekly travel. This bag does all of that and with the No Matter What warranty I am glad it works because I will have it for a very long time. The only thing I would change is bring the opening to one side rather than splitting the case in half. Just a personal preference. I have also enjoyed using the compression cubes with this bag. They fit well and allow for packing more and keeping things organized.

Perfect luggage to pack all the essentials for any trip. I loved being able to pack for a long trip in such a small space. It was easy to move around and I was able to attach an additional luggage on top with the straps that were included and it was definitely helpful because I didn't not strain in trying to hold both.

I have traveled all over the world for years and used Eagle Creek Luggage exclusively. This Tarmac 22 is the best designed yet and easy to carry-on and move around the airport. The price is a little high but the value is worth it.

I love Eagle Creek. I have more of their bags than 1 can count (from a 25 and 21in Tarmac to a small carry on to a large ski bag). I love all my Eagle Creek bags, but this is probably my favorite. It is small enough to fit in most places, but still fits enough stuff for a week long trip. I love the 4 wheels as it takes a tons of stress off my arm and hands. Organization is great in this bag. I have 2 negatives, I really, really miss the drink pouch which I have on my older Tarmac bags. It is a pain to have to hold my water bottle all the time or to precariously balance it on top of my suitcase. The second negative is the piggyback strap. That is pretty useless. It doesn't hold much and the bag does not pull easily on 2 wheels. If I need to piggyback a bag, I switch back to my old bag. I have been using this bag for over a year, and it is holding up great. I carry on most often, but I have checked it frequently, and it lives up to the Eagle Creek reputation of quality.

Its lightweight, spacious, durable, and carries a lifetime warranty. The side handles makes the bag easy to grab. The padded front pocket makes it easy for me to quickly store away my iPad or laptop. ...and I get many compliments.

I travel for work about 2-3 times a week. I use this bag for all the various electronics that I carry along for work. The only thing I would change would be the weels. I swapped them for a set of softer skate-wheel set. This is the most durable and well designed bag I've ever had. And I've tried many bags, from Briggs&Riley to Tumi. It's very easy to roll around effortlessly, and with the softer wheels I added, silently. The front pocket design is great and I love the sturdy handle. It's been checked into several hundred flights already and with only some minor scratches at worst. This bag will last a very long time.

I have used the Two wheel Tarmac 22 for four years and it's still in excellent shape. I needed a 4 wheel bag due to muscle/joint issues I'm so excited that the Tarmac 22 came in a 4 wheel I just had to get it. I know it will be a durable, long lasting bag that can take my hectic business schedule. I will never purchase anything other than Eagle Creek for my travel luggage.

I bought this a few months ago and have taken it on 6 or 7 international and domestic flights. I'm a bit of a luggage junkie, always in search of the elusive bag that does everything I want it to. This one comes close, but I'm still looking.
Here are things I love about it:
* solid outside construction. A brilliant blend of hard and soft surfaces and well thought-out exterior design. Great inclusion of reflective surfaces too.
* wheels are great quality and roll well. I feel confident pulling this across rugged surfaces.
* some of the inside is really well-designed, including the padded laptop sleeve and lots of zippered pockets.
What they could improve to make this an excellent bag:
* change the zippered opening from the middle of the bag to the top. As others have said, cutting the bag in two equal halves when unzipped eats into usable space. It means only one side can be overstuffed because only one side has the zippered expansion feature. For a small bag, this is almost a deal breaker.
* the half that can be overstuffed should be on the bottom, not the top when opening the bag. It makes a full bag cumbersome to open, especially when you lay it on its side in an airport to stuff in that one last thing.
* the outside pockets are almost useless, they're so shallow. Make them a bit deeper.
* the zipper should be of the highest quality for a bag this pricey and otherwise well-constructed. Mine hasn't broken or stuck like a lot of other reviewers', but it does not operate smoothly.
None of this is enough to make me not recommend the bag, which I love in a lot of ways, but with a few design tweaks, Eagle Creek, you'd have the bag of my dreams.

Haven't use the product yet on a travel. Based on initial feel and touch, the product feels very durable. The only minor complaint I have is that users cannot adjust the "add a bag" strap. Hence your duffle bag might drag on the ground if it is too big.

Just used my new luggage and it did pretty good. It is light and very functional. My only complaint is that the zippers are very stiff and not easy to use. I'm hoping this does not get worse. Overall a very nice piece of luggage for the money.

Durable, compact in size yet fits a good size of belongings, and good looking! I am really enjoying this new piece of luggage!! The only adjustment for me is get used to a new packing style since the bag opens from the middle and has 2 compartments instead of having 1 larger compartment.

I tried to expand the suitcase and the zipper got caught. When I tried to get it loose the zipper tab broke. I need to return this suitcase to get it replaced.

Design is good, lots of space but needs better quality zippers, like YKK.

On the upside, we have been satisfied with the repair/return policy BUT we feel we shouldn't have to replace the bags so often. My boyfriend and I travel professionally, on average twice a month, and we have had multiple repairs and replacements to both our bags since we bought them in 2015. We had to replace a zipper (fortunately we were teaching 20 miles away from their SoCal headquarters so it was done while I waited) and gotten multiple replacement bags due to fractures in the plastic by the handles. Now one of the wheels has nearly torn free of the bag due to fractures at the base. I haven't found a better, more durable alternative so we keep returning these for repairs and replacements, but it just doesn't seem right.

I have owned quite a few Eagle Creek bags and as a company they have done an amazing job of standing behind their product. Unfortunately the quality of this bag just isn't what they used to be.

I purchased this bag only two months ago and have used just 2 times. When I was returning from my latest trip I noticed a hole developing through a seam on the bottom of the bag. This suitcase is otherwise brand new appearing. Obviously Eagle Creek is repairing the suitcase, but I am having to send it to them and I was told to expect it back in about a month due to the holidays. I was also told that since I had already used the suitcase I could not return it for a refund. I'm hopeful that it will be repaired and this won't be an ongoing problem, but I have a feeling that I will be sending this bag back for repairs more than once.

This bag is a major disappointment, compared to older Tarmac versions. Too much padding takes away valuable space. Why a laptop compartment? I am business traveler I am going to have my laptop in its own case or bag for going into the office. Luckily I found an older version of the Tarmac at my local Triple A office. Bought it immediately but feel duped I spent so much on the newer version that I deem worthless unless I just need a two night stay bags for a quick weekend.

I am a frequent Eagle Creek product user and purchased this bag, sight unseen, based on decades of experience with the brand. The bag is poorly designed: (1) I can't carry it by the handle as it is weighted improperly and hits me in the leg, (2) the handle placement makes it awkward to put into an overhead compartment, (3) I can't let go of it or it rolls away even on the slightest slope, (4) the zipper came apart on the first and only use, and (5) the compartments are too small to fit much of anything, including the usually fantastic pack-it cubes. I would return it, but the company wouldn't take it back because it was used. Off to a local charity it goes.

I'm a big fan of Eagle Creek and own several suitcases and accessories. They have never steered me wrong UNTIL this one. So many compartments that fit nothing! So much wasted space. I just did an experiment and packed my usual amount into this bag - it wouldn't close - not eve close. I then grabbed my old EC carry on - and repacked with the same amount of stuff. Everything fit! Unfortunately I've taken the tags off or I would return it. This is definitely not the bag for me.

The bag has a nice look and good capacity when combined with the Pack It cubes. It rolls well on most surfaces and the handles are comfortable to use. Most of the bag functions as advertised but within a year I ran into an issue where the zipper caught in the fabric and broke less than a year after purchasing the bag. I expected this to be taken care of pretty quickly through the Eagle Creek warranty program but found out shortly after returning my bag for service that it could take 6-7 weeks before it is returned but they could "try to expedite it once it's in the system". Not sure if Eagle Creek considers that an acceptable turn around time but I bought the bag because I believed it would last, not because I could afford to be without it for months at a time. I've enjoyed the bag when I was able to use it but proceed with caution if you actually use it on a regular basis.
