These are the most beautiful shoes I own. The picture doesn’t do justice how it sparkles in direct light- it’s holographic (meaning the glitter is every color of the rainbow, and it shifts in the light)! They’re very pretty and glossy, while also being quite wearable in the wardrobe of a college student. I had to size down so I wouldn’t clunk around so much in these.

I measured using Hunter’s guidelines on their website. I read what seemed like all the reviews here and on Amazon. I wear an 8.5 shoe, but my calves measure about a 9 in Hunter boots. Reading the reviews, I was concerned that an 8 would be too small, but couldn’t be absolutely sure. Enter Zappos customer service. The rep asked me for my ankle measurement, and then recommended I try a size 9. It’s a great fit: • enough room in the toe box for thick socks and a better insole (I have a history of plantar fasciitis so I generally swap out insoles of shoes) • enough room in the boot shaft not only for my calves, but for my jeans as well. I actually like that the top of the boot feels a bit snug; it reassured me that the boot will stay on. Whatever size you choose, though, do yourself a huge favor and get a boot jack. They are invaluable for getting your boots off easily.

These are tight around my calves and too high. Cute color.

LOVVVVVVE THIS!! great for any weather

These are waaaay more glittery/sparkly/shiny than what they look like in the pictures. I'm not crazy about the color (they barely look black) and I would have returned them for the flat black but I needed them for the 4 days of nonstop rain we've had. I wear size 8-1/2 and ordered the 8, and there was enough room to put a cushiony insole in them and still wear boot socks. I do like the hi-leg style and the sturdy rubber material seems a little softer and slip-resistant than the other popular brand of rain boots that I have.

This has to be the most cutest hunter boots . The pattern in the light is so cute . But unfortunately it’s way to tight around the calf muscles which wakes it’s way too uncomfortable. So I have to return them ??

My daughter normally wears a 7.5, so I ordered a 7 and she says they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. She was very happy with these!

These are adorable and they get SUPER sparkly outdoors. I garden in snake country and wanted something cute, but protective to garden in. Others said the calves were tight. I did not find this to be the case and I don't have thin calves. Love them!

I love Hunter rain boots. I wore my last pair through all sorts of weather - rain, sleet, snow, etc. After four years of use they started to get a few minor cracks so when I saw these gorgeous sparkly black rain boots I had to have them! They are so lovely in person and who doesn't love a little glitter? They aren't too over-the-top, just perfect. My last pair was a kids size 4 and I ordered the 5 in these. I am generally a 5.5 in most brands and occasionally a 6. I am about 5ft tall and these hit just below my knee. I am sure I will wear these for many years to come. Customer service was excellent, as always, when helping me with this transaction. Great price for a great boot.

Just got these in the mail and am wearing them now!! They are BEAUTIFUL! I normally wear a 7 1/2 shoe, but one of the other reviews on here said she went a half size down and they fit great, so I followed her lead and ordered a size 7. They fit GREAT! They sparkle in the sun and I can't wait for the rains to come! They come up approximately 2 inches beneath my knee (I am 5'6 1/2" tall). I will probably only be able to wear leggings with them for winter rains and shorts for summer rains because the boot opening is a little snug when they're all the way on. I can pull my pant legs over the top (I like baggy-legged jeans) but the problem with that is you don't get to see all the sparkle!! Highly recommend these and they're my first shot at Hunter's boots!

These boots are absolute bonkers. The photos make them look more black with silver sparkles, but don’t be fooled. These are magical accessories that one would wear in a rainy unicorn infested kingdom - and you would RULE IT! I am more than prepared to face a deluge of rainbow waterfalls, streams of fairy ale, or, well, wet grass when I walk my dog.

LOVED THEM! I almost cried with how pretty they were in person. Online does it no justice. I'm even sadder that I have to return them. Not for those with a wide calf. I will try to see how the shorter ones are. I am 5'4" and the went up to my knees for reference. I ordered a 9 (i'm an 8.5-9...8 in Uggs) and they seemed big on me.

I'm 5'5" with long legs and a short torso, but these were slightly too tall for me! I saw another reviewer say she was 5'2" and thought I would have no problem with these, but when I lifted one foot up and had my knee at a 90-degree angle, the top rim of the boot hit the back of my thigh! In terms of the height of the boot, it slightly covers the bottom of my knee. So, these are definitely for taller girls. They are also true-to-size. I'm usually a 8.5-9 in shoes, usually 8.5 in dress shoes. I ordered size 8 boots and found that they're too snug for my feet, especially with socks on. So, I'm going to be sizing up in the shorter boot.

I felt these were pretty true to size, and fit great with a pair of socks. I have wider calves so they are snug when worn with jeans but are perfect with leggings. More sparkly than the photos indicate.

Omigod. These boots are fabulous in person but were too tight around the upper calf to be comfortable. I also didn’t feel like the interior of the boots, support wise for the foot, were very comfy for how much Hunters cost. I would probably order them again if they had the black star cloud in a short version just because - wow.

The color is amazing. The glitter gives it a certain edge and cuteness all at the same time. As for sizing, it was a bit trickier. I wear a size 7.5 and ended up settling with a size 8. I'm at that age where my feet are expanding and the size 8 fit my calves better. Not to mention there would not be as much crowding in the footbed if I somehow managed to get socks on as well. Another concern resolved was the circumference of the shaft. My calves are a solid 15.25 inches at their widest (particularly when I fall off the exercise wagon). This boot allowed my calves in but with almost zero room to spare. The size 7 was not as generous. I'm guessing that the 15.25 is the average for size 8 and 9 and likely gets slightly smaller as you go down in sizes. Would I purchase these again? Absolutely!

So sparkly! However, they do seem to make my feet sweat, due to the rain proof material. My feet were slightly damp when I took the boots off. That defeats the purpose a bit.

The boots are much more sparkly than they appear in the photos. They're great if that's what you're looking for, but they certainly are not quiet! I found them to be very large. I'm a 6 1/2 and typically wear size 7 boots, but I ended up returning these and going for a 6 (which were perfect). I'd suggest getting a size smaller than what you'd typically wear.

They really were gorgeous. Even though I have wide feet they felt like they'd be ok once broken in. My problem (it's been mentioned before, but there were no posted measurements I could find before I bought them) was how snug they were at the top of the boot. I'm tall enough that they were a good height on me (5'8") but just too snug at the very top to be comfortable around my calf. Which is kind of strange given how wide they were below that. I should have asked the question before I even ordered them... 'The circumference for these boots is listed as: 15 1/4 in. That won't change much between sizes but we measured a size 9 so you can expect a small difference depending on your size.' Was the prompt answer. They are lovely boots though, so I may be just switching them out for the shorter ones.

These do run a bit big, as the reviews suggest, but I got a pair of wool fleece insoles which made them fit fine. I like how narrow they are in the calf. The reason I took off a star is because the glitter finish is more pronounced than I thought it would be based on the photo. I'm keeping them, though. because they fit nicely and the price was right.

These are so cute, I love the color, but I was extremely disappointed because they are very tight around my calves. I do not have large calves but I had a hard time getting these off as they were so tight. They will go back. I wish they came in adjustable back.
