Excellent running shoe!

Overall happy with these. Have only worn once but they do feel true to my size, 9.5, and I have a pretty wide foot. I fit regular new balance but most other shoes I need a wide so I got a wide here. Glad I did as the wide fits nice. Most likely the regular width would have been tight but ok but glad I got wide. They are light weight and breathe.

I have always loved an all black shoe, Even though they are sneakers they go pretty well with dress pants, or just black slack. Very comfortable. I love shopping here.

Red shoes were a bold step for me, but these are nice looking, and I get lots of positive comments. Fun to wear. They are comfortable, and very light, which is important to me. I don't like heavy gym shoes. I walk outdoors a lot, and do three miles daily on the treadmill. These shoes are perfect for my walking activities.

They are very comfortable, I’m not too crazy for the look of them but these sneakers are serving their purpose. I brought them to work out in and walk they are good for support. The price of them was great as well

My son says these fit great and they are very comfortable. He had downshifter 7 previously and these are the same quality. He really likes the fading of the red color. Great shoes and wonderful service through Zappos. We ordered and they came not even 24 hours later!

The shoes took a few workouts to break in. They are a little narrow but very comfortable and breath extremely well.

These shoes may be one of the best running shoes I have ever owned. The feel for the 4 EEEE width was perfect for my feet. They are incredibly light but with excellencet cushioning for mid distance running 1 to 6 mile distances or Track work. I wish I had these back in the eighties when I was a competetive elite runner. Even though I'm in my fifties now with these shoes on I still am able to pump out 5k runs on asphalt with no pain or discomfort. Love them I am going to load up on several more of these.

My husband has wide feet and it's so hard to find him shoes that are comfortable. These shoes finally satisfied him. He's a size 10.5 4EEEE and I ordered a 11 4EEEE and he was so happy with them. I'm buying him another pair!

These shoes are very light weight. They have just enough support to feel stable as I'm running and walking. At this price point, I'll be purchasing these again. Highly recommend.

First, this is a great affordably priced very lightweight sneaker that is good for every day wear. It looks as good on as it does in the photos (to me). It fits in with current sneaker fashion trends as well. Second, my specific use case and criteria for choosing this shoe: I have flat and wide feet and I wanted 4E width with a roomy toe box. Those two things were must-haves. I have been walking for fitness for 20 years wearing mostly NB Minimus 2E shoes that were barely wide enough. I love the barefoot feel of the Minimus though. In the last year I started running as well and for that activity I bought a thicker soled shoe (at a higher price point). Those work fine, but they don't look that great for every day dress. I wouldn't mind trying to transition to a mimimal / barefoot shoe for running, but those are not typically offered in wide widths. So my wish list features in an ideal shoe would be: minimal drop, but have some substantial cushioning for running. If they looked good enough and were comfortable enough for every day wear, that would be a bonus. Verdict: The Downshifter 8 is very lightweight, very comfortable and looks good enough for just about any casual situation. What I don't know yet is how they'll hold up to running. They're going to do fine for walking I think, but to be honest, I've been "saving" them so far so as not to get them too dirty, because I like wearing them out and about on the weekends. Plus I need to put a few more miles on the other running shoes to get my money's worth out of them. I may have to get a second pair for workouts. Very happy so far.
