These low hikers are perfect for either mountain trails, rail trails and walking around town trails. They provide support and are lightweight. I would recommend this shoe. I ordered a half size bigger to allow for thicker socks if needed and toe box room.

I love these! I tried the higher sapphire boots and they didn't work at the ankle area. These are comfortable for long or short hikes!

This is the 4th pair of this exact boot i have purchased. I walk between 6-9 miles every day, outside for work. Break in quick, last about 18months thru muck and mud. Would probably last much longer if not used everyday. Love these boots. My feet and back feel great.

They look good without any flashy colors. They have sturdy soles and are completely waterproof. My first pair has been to the Arctic and the tropics. I do add an insole for a little extra cushioning. My new pair will be traveling to the Four Corners soon.

I really like these shoes. They are comfortable and very cute. I will say if you have wide feet, these are probably not for you. They are snug but well fitted for my average feet. I loosened the laces so they weren't too tight. Love them!

Today's one-size-fits all industry standards like small/medium/large and up to extra larges just do not work in clothes or in footwear, yet they persist. So many sneakers of mine are just too long in size 9 or too short in an 8-and-a-half, that I am really happy to have found this shoe to fit my slightly narrower "medium" width size 9 feet. The support is excellent for indoor concrete floors with industrial carpeting. I'm looking forward to flying to CA this summer and walking in the mountains there. The water resistant soles & uppers with the wide, aerating tongue are perfect for the damp eastern PA climate here at home, too. My local LL Bean store was key to finding the perfect fit for me, and customer service was excellent.

Lightweight but sturdy. Plenty of room in the toe box. A bit stiff at first wearing but relaxes into a comfortable shoe. Kept my feet perfectly dry during a downpour.

Comfortable, water resistent, and best of all- grippy on wet surfaces- the only hiking/trail shoes I will use on wet granite found on many Maine trails. Best to "shoe goo" heels if regularly used on hard surfaces.Enough sole stiffness to be supportive on rough steep areas and still be light and nimble enough so not to tire. size 61/2 age 74

I found these to be comfortable right out of the box and didn't need to break them in. They definitely offer the support I was looking for in a hiking shoe. I have worn them in some rainy weather and walking through puddles and my feet did stay dry. I wear a size 7 and these fit well with medium thickness socks. My feet are happy with this purchase.

this is the second pair i bought! The first pair was about 4-5 yrs old but i fished in the stream with them once last summer and i mean IN THE STREAM, 2 ft deep or more all day long. They did t really suffer much from it but i just wanted a fresh pair. Love the fit, wider toe box, great waterproof and so comfortable. Thanks LLB!

These shoes are perfect for me: slightly wide toe box, somewhat stiff sole, good support for real hiking but also not too bulky to wear around town if needed, cute style

These are my favorite shoes and I have been waiting for the correct size for over a year. There were issues with supply. Anyway, I am so relieved that I got some new to use when the ones I am wearing are exhausted. I tried to fix another pair with Shoe Goo, and that worked for a while...

I’ve worn Oboz in another style in size 7.5 wide before. Based on the recommendation since wide isn’t available in this style, I ordered 8 medium. It’s a great fit.
I'd also recommend:
Keen, Algeria, Taos

This is a great shoe for light hiking as well as an every day shoe. My foot is on the wider side and all I had to do was loosen the laces to get the right fit. I have worn this in mountain snow and in the desert and it was exactly what I needed.

Second purchase of this style of Oboz hiking shoes and they are just as comfortable and just as attractive as the first time around. I love that I can wear them straight out of the box without discomfort.

I put my orthotics in these and they are quite supportive. I am preparing to walk Hadrian's wall across England. A walk of 85 miles where we will average 15 miles per day. So far I can walk in these with no aches or pains, but they do rub my ankle bones if the socks are too thin. I may try to update this review after I do the walk to let people know how they do.
