The fit and shape of these socks are so oddly proportioned that the excess fabric makes shoes uncomfortable. I wear size 5 - 5.5 and do not find these socks to fit well. They pinch in strange places and are too loose in others. The design is beautiful, but the quality seems lacking for the price.

I love these socks and wear them all seasons (even cycling and boating in summer on the coast of New England.) Not high enough for my mid height hiking boots, but perfect for trail runners.

Darn Tough socks are wonderful for hiking and winter wear. They are soft but strong, and amazingly comfortable. I get irritation where sock seams rub against my toes. This is not a problem with Darn Tough socks, so they are my "go to" purchase for rugged hiking.

I have just purchased these, upon the recommendation of a friend who has worn them for years. It is the only sport socks he wears, and he swears by them. I have only worn the socks twice but can attest they are very comfortable. They almost caress your feet.
