This is my first time to own Darn Tough socks. It took me a while to wrap my head around paying that much for a pair of socks:) I must say I am impressed with the look, feel, and warmth of them. I live in the mountains of Colorado and nothing is more important than protecting my feet when hiking or hunting!

When a friend reached out to go do some ice climbing high up around 8500 feet on the North Side of Mount Hood New Year's Eve/New Years Day I jumped at the opportunity! The conditions rarely, if at all, appear for that that time of year. A perfect opportunity to use my new Darn Tough mountaineering socks! Trust me, the approach to the base of the climb was 6 miles of cascade volcano and glacier travel. I didn't hesitate to use an "unproven" pair of socks on such a objective. These Darn Tough socks performed to every bit of my expectations, from my bivy in 15F, to hiking in and climbing. Excellent socks! Great cushion, warmth, and were the absolute best things for my feet under extreme conditions. Thank you Darn Tough crew!

I live in central Alaska and the heavy mountaineering socks are the best socks ever. If I had enough pairs I would wear them every day of the week during the winter. They are warm and comfortable and they do not slide down to your ankles. They have not pilled up, quality is great! Warmth is great! I have had them for about 3 years now.

I simply needed good socks to pair with my new Red Wings. Before ordering Darn Tough socks, I tried a few other competitors, but was disappointed. After wearing these Over-the-Calf socks, Im sold on the product and company. My wife and a close friend have both received their first pair of Darn Tough socks from as Christmas gifts. Just buy a pair. Or two. Or ten!

They are better than anything else on the market.

These are the sock I wear most of the time since I work on concrete floors. But, I also hike frequently and these are the socks I use exclusively because of the cushioning on the foot. The oldest pair of these socks is about five years and still have the cushioning for the foot that I like.

Ive worn these socks during the middle of winter and middle of summer. Absolutely love them.

My husband loves these socks! They stay stay up all day, fit his feet perfectly and never cause his feet or legs to get too cold or hot.

We sent a pair of socks back to the company and they happily return us a new pair with no problem. Also I always buy a couple of pairs Christmas gifts.

Good thickness, not thin but not overly bulky. Fit is excellent, size 11 for a large.

I have been slowly rotating out all my other socks to Darn Tough and this is another great pair. I have yet to be disappointed with thick, mid or light weight, full or no cushion. Each sock does the job it is designed to do.

Super comfortable....couldn't ask for a better sock. Although they are a bit pricier than many others, for me they are the most comfortable and worth it.

Loved the first pair that I got my husband, so got him a second pair for Christmas.

Best socks ever. After many years in the military and being deployed to multiple colder areas, plus over 20years in scouting that entailed multiple night while snow camping, and now to riding a dual sport motorcycle in all weather, these socks are the best socks i have owned. They are warm and very comfortable. I am glad I got the over the calf length.

This is my favorite Darn Tough sock. I always have a pair on hand! They feel like walking on a cloud, and they keep my feet warm on cold, Michigan days whether I'm lounging with the cats or ice fishing with the husband. No notes. A+

My fifth pair of your socks over the last year. All are superbly comfortable and warm. Happy to support made in U.S.A., and go out of my way to do so. I continue to experiment with different of your product looking for better solutions aiding my winter riding. I no longer do the -20F as arthritis and old age are taking their toll. I have been hunting for some decent wool socks and have tried a few different brands. Bought these and while the price per pair is more than I have ever paid for socks they feel worth it so far. I wear these in my steel-toe work boots walking on concrete throughout the day. Time will tell how they hold up.

Expensive but worth it if you can get them on discount

Best out there. I live and work outdoors. Takes me 2 to 3 years of hard daily use to wear out a pair of these.

Very warm and comfy, tend to fall down though. I have average size kegs and calves
