The best thing about Skechers ride series is that they don't take long to break in. 5 miles in and they felt like I've had them forever!!

Just for background, I'm 5-8, 155, 38 years old and run about 40-50 mpw. I previously had the GoMeb Razors and was happy with them, so not necessarily new to Sketchers. Honestly its kind of a dumb brand but I do like their performance running shoes =) The Ride 7 is very cushy, responsive and easy to run in. Very similar to the Kinvara 8 but maybe a tad softer. I would recommend sizing down a half-size, although it seems the majority of folks disagree. Definitely size down if you want the snappier feeling that comes from removing the sockliner.

Comfortable, smooth in transition. Only issue: shoe collar is high around ankles - takes time to break this area in. Otherwise you rarely think about the shoe on a run because it's soooo smoooth.

Let me start by saying this is a highly underrated shoe. I know more and more people are reviewing it and saying good things but WOW. I purchased here for 60% of list on a sale and it was an outstanding buy. I would like to purchase another pair just for backup but my size is sold out now. I am 5'10 210 bit overweight in belly but active crossfit and in generally good shape cardio wise. I have one knee that tends to give me problems here and there so I rotate on from hard to soft exercise wise to give it a break. I have had Hoka One, Reebok Floatride, Saucony Triumph, and Lunartrainers which are all good shoes but they all have their issues for my weight, knee, and running. First run in these and I ran straight 2.5 mile, good for me at best time after a bad eating vacation. These shoes are perfect for me just enough cushioning but in no way pillowy or cloudy (Hoka), with just perfect cushion, response and spring. I really do not know if there is or could be a better running shoe for me. These are really that good for list price and at almost half of that is ridiculous what a bargain. The inner shoe liner does come out and make it a bit more responsive less cushion (still incredible) but I so far am leaving the liner in. Try them if you dont like them send them back but I have a feeling you wont they are that good!!!

GOrun Ride 7 has pretty much the one of best combination of materials, ride, and value for money out there. I simply cannot believe how under-the-radar Skechers Performance has been recently, but its products are undoubtedly superior. So, for over a year now, I've been searching for cushioned, long mileage running shoes that would allow me to do 10 plus mile training runs and free of any pain from plantar fascia. I've tried on the most of the late model shoes from major brands, ranging from Nike Epic React, Adidas Supernova and Ultraboost, Reebok Floatriade, Hoka Hupana, and Under Armour HOVR Sonic. Not one was as simple or satisfying as GRR7. The upper is free of any unwanted pressure, except maybe the toebox could be higher by a fraction. The rocker shape provides butter smooth transitions regardless of heel or forefoot strike. The FlightGEN midsole foam is the real deal in terms of rebound and cushioning. Above all, those qualities can be had for less than $100. Do yourself a favor a order a pair.

It is hard to find a flaw for these shoes. I am an avid runner. Tried around 20 different models from all major brands. This is the best fitting shoe of them all. It is flexible and comfy with a good balance of responsive, yet protective cushioning. It can be used for everything. Long runs, tempo runs, speed work and racing. If I had to pick only one shoe to own, this would be it. Having said all that, I would like to have a similar shoe with more cushion for those longer runs. This one is ok, but my legs start hurting a bit after running more than 12km in these shoes. It seems I will get my wish come true this Fall with the new Ultra Road type shoe.

Hands down the most cushioned running shoe I've tried. I have five other top of the line name brand cushioned shoes $150-$180 price range and these beat them all. For $90 it's a win win; I never would have thought Skechers would be more comfortable than the big guys, but as long as they keep making them like this Ride 7 I'll be a customer for life. I take the top insole out and don't really notice a difference, except it's more roomy and comfortable.

I love this shoe. However, I should mention that I am female and had to get the men's version and size up 1/2 size (8.5 men's, usually wear 9.5 women's). The women's version was too short, narrow, and shallow for my foot. I have bunions, so I have to get wide or men's in some shoes but not others. I have run up to 9 miles in these with no foot pain despite struggling with metatarsal pain lately, so I am thrilled. Cushion doesn't feel as soft to start with but gets better with more steps, if that makes sense. It hasn't gotten really hot yet, but these are breathable and I anticipate they will be great in hot weather.

This is the best show I've run in since the first Gen Hoka One One Clifton. Excellent cushion but still responsive. Feels similar to the Adidas Boost in toe off but has a much more comfortable last. The upper on this show is fantastic.

Usually an ASICs wearer, I purchased these because of the recommendation of a PGA caddie. When I first put them on, I thought they were a bit snug. All it took was getting up and walking to realize that they fit perfectly. Imagine putting your foot into a sock instead of a bucket. I discovered a tremendous amount of cushion in the heel and forefoot. My feet never get tired wearing these shoes and I can leave them on all day. Bottom line...extreme comfort!

Run around 30 miles a week. Am training for a relay race and needed a new pair of shoes for my longer/slower runs. Bought these after reading reviews on some of my favorite, most-trusted running shoes review websites. Also bought several other pairs of shoes from my favorite brand of running shoes. Never expected to keep this pair of shoes over the others, even though they are considerably less expensive. Also, there's the fact my wife and kids think it is ridiculous that I am wearing a pair of Skechers. Little do they know. These are the most comfortable, responsive running shoes I have ever worn. Have found they fit - and feel - better without the included insole. I only wear it for my longest/slowest runs. Tremendous value and highly recommend.

I run approximately 60 miles per week and I use these for my longer runs. My most recent long run of 21 miles left my feet feeling great. Probably the best shoes I've ever worn and over the last 8 years of serious running, I've tried them all. I'd be comfortable wearing this shoe for every type of run. I'll definitely be buying more of the Ride 7 and not sure where they can improve upon this version. I find the upper to be socklike, supportive but stretches to accommodate your foot. The midsole has a great bounce to it without feeling overly cushioned like a Hoka. I have Hoka Cliftons and prefer the Ride to them. As a bonus, the shoe just looks good too!

I review shoes from all brands, but never gave skechers a shot. I was able to try the GoRun Ride 7 the past few weeks, and I feel like these may be the best all around running shoes for the price. They feel great, Great Fit..and I feel like I shouldve gave these a chance a long time ago..

The Ride 7 is my 4th version of the Ride that I have run in. The others being versions 1,3, and 5. I guess I like the odds. Anyway, I was concerned that they had changed the shoe too much and got rid of the lace eyelet for locking down the heel. Well, I'm happy to report that the shoe still works wonderfully. The heel does feel locked down due to a deep and firmly cushioned ankle collar. Lacing over the mid foot is secure and comfortable; no hot spots. The ride of the shoe may not be as flexible as previous versions, but the smoothness and efficiency of the M-Strike midsole is great. I'm sure the FlightGen midsole is helping too. I swapped out the supplied sockliner with a thinner one to get some more interior volume. The knit upper is pretty good, decently breathable and stretchy.
