The main thing about this shoe that is not represented online is that it has a velcro closure across the midfoot but ALSO a cool, but strange and impractical zipper track that separates the back of the heel into a top and bottom. In theory this is a way to open up and slide the shoe on, then zipper the heel closed from it's too halves and Velcro the front. Its unique but doesn't look durable and doesn't allow for tightening of the shoe which for my son ended up fitting loose like a slipper.

I did not realize it when we ordered, but the velcro closure actually unzips almost all the way around the heel! It's very cool, but unfortunately reduces the amount of adjustment you can make around the top of the shoe. It was too loose for my son, so we ended up with the tie version that could be tightened more.

The reason I returned the shoe is because my son with special needs could not pull the zipper as I could barely zip it either! The zipper part is a neat concept but does not zip smoothly or easy at all ??

I ordered these for my kid. He liked the look and said they were comfortable. He wore them for a few weeks before the velcro stopped working. There isn't any lint or hair to prevent it from sticking. It's just not attaching anymore. Now the shoes won't even stay on his feet. Not happy with the quality, as shoes this expensive should last longer than a few weeks.

Fell apart in one month! Seam where zipper is came undone.

I bought these shoes for my 1st grader because he is still not great at tying his shoes. Big mistake. The second time he was wearing them, he unzipped them and the zipper came apart. We have tried to re-thread the zipper, without success. It is a great looking pair of shoes, but I don't understand why there is a zipper and why it goes all of the way around the back heel. Weird shoe that failed.
