I've been wearing Birks since the 80's in college. There are currently 26 pairs in my closet, but this is the first time I had to size up to a 40. Odd, but I was determined to add the Arizona big buckle. For comfort out of the box, buckle them one notch bigger than you would wear normally. Its an easy way to break them in for a few days. The leather gives, you just need a little patience. The smooth footbed is different; but its comfortable and the foot doesn't have any "slide" problems. After all the years without any pizzaz, the big buckle adds the right amount. I own two pairs of the Madrid big buckle and they look beautiful with summer dresses and gaucho style capris. This summer I'm in love with big buckle, textile bohemian striped gizehs, the gray/white texile beach arizonas. Mix it up! And there isn't any better customer service on the planet. Next day service in remote Montana is unheard of...unless it's Zappos.

I REALLY was hoping this shoe would fit properly. I have wide feet and was hoping the Birkenstock Medium would fit the bill. It did....on my right foot, but my left foot is just a tiny bit too wide and was rubbing the lip of the shoe on the side. The shoes are super cute and I was so sad they didn't work out for me.

I love the Arizona birks! I already own two pairs and when I saw the big buckle style I had to add them to my closet. I bought my normal size 38 barrow width. Usually I’m between sizes 7.5-8. These fit as expected. Love the large gold buckles and cognac leather. The soles looked more cream in person that I was expecting but I like it.

Have to break in but super stylish! Everyone asks me where I got them. Just takes time to make them comfortable

Beautiful. Cool. Comfortable. Well constructed. The leather is so rich looking. Might need to break them in a bit before all day wear...but I love these Birkenstocks. Free one day shipping...how does Zappos do that? Amazing shoes. Amazing company. Love you Zappos...xo

I'm so annoyed I wanted these so bad and the sizing is OFF. I own a pair and they are a womens 10/41. I have ordered 2 pairs so far and they are short they fit like a women's size 9.

I love the big buckle look. It is a statement piece. They are comfortable and good for casual summer wear.

I have a true "wide" foot and some reviewers had said this style fits a wide foot however the side of my foot slightly spilled over (I have the same issue with chacos) and rubbed on the leather. I also thought the buckles were a little too much (like too big). Otherwise I did really like the color combo.

I loved the fit of this shoe and thought I would love the look, but the big buckle is super gaudy and heavy on the foot so I ended up returning. Also the brushed metallic look of suede had a dirty look to it in low light.

I ordered the narrow and it fit my average 7.5B. The arch support is less than I have remembered on past pairs of Birkenstocks. But they are comfortable and I love the big buckle and color.

I love the look of these Birks and think the buckle is a nice departure from the traditional Birks. However these are a bit too narrow for me. I do not have wide feet but my toes were a bit squished in these shoes. I am a 7 1/2 and ordered the 38 which are too long. I would order a half size down to be safe. My old Birks are a 37 and I should have stuck with that instead of referring to the sizing guide. These shoes are cute and I wish they had worked out.

They didn't feel as true in sizing since they do not carry half sizes as I thought they would. Although I sized up, they felt too big and sizing down did not work and returned them.

I love the rose color but the buckle for me was just too big (hence "big buckle") so I don't think I would wear because it's too shiny and aggressive. Overall great shoe of course, Birks are the best, just not (these) for me! Thanks Zappos for excellent service!

Absolutely LOVED these sandals but sadly had to return them as they had the wrong buckle on them. These were supposed to have a big gold shiny buckle instead they had a traditional brassy buckle. I was so dissapointed I couldn't get a replacement on these as they are out of stock

These sandals are so incredibly cute (got the metallic rose). The sole is a bit stiff but I'm hoping some reviewers were right about them molding to your foot and becoming more comfortable after a while. I was close to returning them because of that but they're so cute I decided to give them a chance. I wear 6.5 on sandals and flats, and 7 on sneakers. The size 37 fit perfectly

Very cute, but killed my feet walking around the house. Thank goodness Zappos understands and lets you return and keep trying. My feet are such an issue. Maybe our shoe designers need more education to make shoes that support the foot and look good too.

Beautiful sandal for summer. Have not wore it yet. Seems comfortable. Thought the inside sole would be material but is not.

Cute shoe but too glitzier for my. Gold buckles are very big and very shiney! Material on insole too slick and size felt a bit too big. I was disappointed. They looked so cute online!

I love Birkenstocks and own multiple pairs. These have a different material for the footbed. They are harder to break in, and therefore slightly uncomfortable for the first few wears. I can imagine they will wear better than the traditional leather footbeds but I’m not sure. At this point they are just broken in and feel good but not as comfortable as my other Birkenstocks. Super cute though.

I’m so sad that my favorite classic Arizona’s have been discontinued (Cocoa Nubuck) and these are a fair replacement. Unlike several styles of Birkenstocks, these do have a cork sole and leather uppers, but they just aren’t the same as the old stock. The big buckles are no joke. They are almost comically large as compared to the strap. Cognac is almost the same as the old cocoa, but it’s just a little off. The insole is fairly slick, but otherwise comfortable. The cream sole is a little off putting, but will do well while out boating rather than my old Sperry standbys.

I purchased my usual size 41 in ceramic rose, absolutely love the color not sure about the width. I’m typically a regular/medium in Birkenstocks but these were just a tad snug for me. I don’t have wide feet at all but there just is t as much room as I’m typically used to. I’ll keep them because they are super cute but may not wear them as often. FYI they squeak a little when you first break them in, I think it’s the contrasting leathers rubbing together.

Great sandal, comfortable Birks and buckles don’t look cheap, however the picture is misleading - the bottoms of the brown sandal is WHITE, not black.
