I bought this bag in June of 2016 and have taken it on 7 roundtrip flights so far. On the back there are 2 pockets on either side of a sleeve that is meant to slide over a luggage handle. The sewing for one of the pockets is starting to become undone, which is disappointing. Otherwise, this bag carries everything I need for a weekend trip and fits under the airplane seat or in the overhead compartment. Not sure if I would say it's worth the price since it's starting to fall apart.

The travel bag was larger than anticipated, but hopefully will be able to keep on my smaller suitcase to roll down the aisles of the airplane. I ordered this item for long-distance travel (Australia / New Zealand) to be able to keep make-up, shoes, another set of clothes, presents, etc. Hope I don't have problems at check-in. It is beautiful and light (be sure to pack heavy items down by wheels as it will turn on you if you walk fast as I do). Since I have a white/black combination, I did spray on a spray fabric protector as it stands on the end of the fabric most of the time. It was fine on my round-trip flight from SC to Chicago. The main negative item is that the snaps don't stay closed in flight transport. A velcro closure would be better. I bought a velcro handle as I was afraid the tiny handles with snaps would be pulled off.

Great bag. Can pack a lot of clothing, cosmetics, snacks and perfect pocket for Ipad Mini inside the bag. Love the zippered outside pocket for travel documents.

I only gave 4 stars because it didn't show clearly that on one side of the outside it is NOT a pocket but a panel with NO bottom--Not sure what that was intended for--I would have preferred a pocket

Haven't been able to enjoy as much as I prefer (re carry on travel bag opportunity) but like the bag's design, substance and the way it is packed upon arrival. This bag is washable and that will be nice!

I bought this bag for upcoming trips mainly because of the trolley sleeve. At first I was disappointed, because the sleeve wouldn't fit over my smaller carry on suitcase. However, it does fit on my medium size suitcase that I check on the plane. I would just caution you to measure before ordering. I can't comment yet on what I can pack in the bag, because I haven't used it yet. However, I like the padded shoulder strap and all the pockets (5 inside, 2 outside, plus a large zippered one outside). If it had fit over both handles, I would have given it five stars.

I got this bag for a carry-on and it was absolutely perfect. Fits right under the seat. My favorite feature is the sleeve in the back of the bag that allows you to put your luggage handle through the bag for easy travel. This bag is perfect for traveling and even overnight short trips.

I love this bag! It's a perfect size to take on a plane. I love the colors and pattern. I would definitely recommend this bag.

This bag is perfect for overnight stays and weekend get aways. I love this bag because of the inside and outside pockets, the print I got it in is adorable, and it fits enough clothing, makeup, and assesories for a short trip. I only gave this bag 4 stars though because of its size. It is a lot larger than I thought it was going to be which will be handy for some but I never seem to be able to fill it up.

Smaller than my original weekends bag. I had to return my old one because of a defective strap.

Bought this bag for all the inside pockets. However packing it for the first time I noticed that the thread dividing one of the inside pockets was unraveling. Disappointed. I still needed the bag this weekend so keeping it.

I LOVE the look of this bag and the shape is great. Improvements that would make me love it even more: a firmer bottom insert so the bag wouldn't bend upwards when using the shoulder strap (the middle sagging kills the look!!), and another pocket (even a slip one) on the outside of the bag. I was pleased that it easily fit under the airline seat in front of me.

I purchased this piece for my granddaughter. I like the print and roominess of this piece. The pockets will serve her well.

I love the bag, and used it to go for an overnight stay at the hospital. However, with my warm winter robe, I couldn't fit my makeup bag in it. It needs to be a tad bigger.

But it's slighly smaller than I expected. Still works well for an overnighter. Well made and stylish.

I love your product, but I was a little disappointed in the size. I expected it to be able to hold more. I doubt anyone could go a weekend with putting everything in this bag.

I recently used this bag for a 4-day trip. The weight distribution is great. The compartments helped me organize items I wanted to be able to find easily. My only concern is the sewn-in strap that is used to hook the bag on the upright handles of a rolling suitcase. I was able to get the bag on the handles but had trouble getting it off. Perhaps the strap can be a little bit wider to account for the tightness that occurs when the bag is fully packed.

I've had the large duffle for a few years now, but it's always been missing a shoulder strap. Then I found the weekender! It does not fit as much as the duffle, but it is perfect for those short trips. It does fill up pretty quickly... and it's more stout than the duffle, which I was not really expecting. The pockets on the inside and outside are great! The outside pocket allows for quick, easy access to the essentials.

Lovely blue colors and flowers on this bag, with substantial size for holding lots of stuff for weekends or short trips. Suggestions for making this bag even more awesome: 1). have a 2-way zipper on the main compartment, 2). have rivets (maybe 6 evenly spaced) on the bottom of bag to keep it off the ground, 3). extend the bottom cardboard piece to the two side panels to help keep bag stand erect by itself. My daughter and I love the midnight blues pattern -- would like to see cosmetic bag (extra large), tote bag, and phone wristlet in this pattern.

Great for a short trip. Very stylish and easy to carry. Zippered exterior pocket quite useful. Wish it was a bit smaller or a slightly different shape so it could be stuffed under a seat while flying. Can't seem to be able to find a Vera bag that fits that criteria that is not a backpack.

This bag is perfect as a carry-on for a few essential items or as a weekend travel bag. It fits nicely on top of larger rolling luggage or you can throw it in the car for day or weekend trips. Lots of pockets, beautiful design. Very well constructed. Love it!

I received my Vera Bradley Weekender for Mother's Day and I love it. It holds everything I need for a weekend stay. I had no complaints until after a recent 7 hour trip, I discovered that a liquid had spilled in my bag. I was disappointed to find out that the bottom support of the bag is only cardboard, which did not hold up very well. It did dry, but of course the support is no longer as sturdy. Maybe some kind of covering over the cardboard would help it stand up to liquids and still pass through security at the airport. Still a very good bag!

I really like this bag and use it as my carry- on each time I fly. I use it to carry my IPad, phone, magazines, headphones,sweater, etc. I also use it when I take road trips to carry the items I want to have handy. The bag holds quite a bit and I can keep stuffing things in. That is part of the problem- it just gets too heavy. I wish Vera Bradley would make a rolling version! That would be the perfect travel bag.

Very pleased wth the spaciousness of the bag. Wonderful inside pockets. Downfall is the carrying strap. It doesn't match the bag entirely. I understand the reason for the solid strap but it looks funny. Would buy again for a gift

Have not used it yet.. But it matches my travel duffel and looks awesome!!
