I wear 8 1/2 US or 39.5 EU. I also go barefoot often and was concerned by the reviews saying boot was too narrow. I ordered my regular size and these feel great right out of the box. Stitching looks solid.
With some hiking trails opening up again as states begin easing CV-19 stay at home restrictions, I look forward to hiking in them soon.
I've worn them in my yard: wet grass/rain and they are waterproof. Soles have flex allowing toes freedom to bend. I hope they last as long as my last pair of Timberlands, which I actually bought used at a hiking resale store about seven years ago. I had these shipped ground, thanks Timberland for planting more Trees.

I had to return this boot. Because of my orthotics, the toe box was a little tight.

I bought these shoes with the intent in hiking in all terrains and with some slip and water resistant capabilities. I went on a muddy and slippery hike yesterday and they held up well. I cleaned them off afterwards and all the mud came off pretty nicely. I got half a size bigger so my hiking socks would fit comfortably. I didn't experience any weird rubbing. I would say the only improvement would be the insoles could have a bit more padding but it's not uncomfortable ! They're really cute too.

These are great boots. Out of box, onto feet, hike a mountain! On second pair because first pair became my lawn mowing boots. Ordered 1/2 size up to accommodate a good sock.

My wife loves these for casual hiking. Not sure it's one we would choose if she's a SERIOUS hiker. It's more light weight which is what she prefers.

I liked a lot how the boot fits, it is super confortable, I just think the the leather looks very dry, and the boots looks like old, or like have been used before. I just took out it from the box and the boots looks like that.

These boots are just perfect, they fit true to size (I wear 8.5) and as my feet are wide enough I ordered wide and my feet are very comfortable. They are also stylish and very light so I have easily walked many miles, therefore I do recommend these boots!

I honestly don't understand some of the reviews saying they are too narrow. I have a wide foot and these fit perfectly!! Size 9M is what I bought. I absolutely love them. They are super comfortable and so stylish!!

I have to buy lab appropriate shoes and it is hard to find waterproof women's shoes. Timberland has been the only one that accommodates my needs. Living in Seattle there is a lot of hiking and raining, so they come very handy for not just work. I think the top 2 lacing d rings are plastic, unlike the previous model I bought; let's see if those last!

Not enough padding at the front of the ankle. Walking any distance was uncomfortable.

Got a few blisters the first few times out, which is to be expected. Hoping they break in a bit more soon.

I was looking for a pair of cute and comfortable boots for my trip to Machu Picchu and these were perfect! I usually have trouble finding shoes because of my wide feet but these boots fit great and provided great ankle support and traction.

I purchase the Timberland Chocorua boot for all my staff. In our line of work, as animal keepers, our footwear need to be safe, durable and look good, too. This boot covers all the bases!

I well wore through my last pair of Timberlands - there was no grip left on that shoe! I thought about going to another cheaper brand, but my Timberlands always last me so long, are so reliable, and always comfortable. This pair is the same. Takes a minute to break them in, but worth the money for sure. And though I just get them for the utility, I always get compliments on how good they look - so bonus!

I use these boots for work and they're comfortable, waterproof and have great traction. For when I'm on the job site.

This is a very comfortable waterproof boot. It has kept my feet dry in rain and snow. I would highly recommend.

The toe box is too narrow if you have bunions. Much narrower than some other brands I have worn. I used to wear Timberlands all the time but now they hurt my feet.

These are great! They are snug but not tight. And they are comfy right out of the box.
I'd also recommend:
Keens, Salomon, Ecco.

Extremely comfortable boots while hiking & very waterproof - I've had these boots for a year and worn them hiking in heavy rain & wading through tidepools and my feet have stayed very dry. I've worn them in the desert & in summer heat and my feet have stayed comfortable (not too warm!) + sand-free.
They feel very secure on my feet and have grippy bottoms. My only complaint is that I was wavering between purchasing my size and a half size up & the associate at the store I went to convinced me to buy the 8 - while my toes never feel pinched in the boot, I do think I should have sized up half a size to leave more room! They're lightweight as well, which makes walking in them easier.
As an added bonus - they are also cute (particularly the brown color)!

ABSOLUTELY The most comfortable boot ever The only problem with the boot was the stupid laces constantly came undone And they're waterproof
I'd also recommend:
Columbia equally comfortable and waterproof
