I loved these when i first got them. After about 6 months of regular wear the toe area is collapsing in on itself and extremely painful. Not sure what is going on. I have owned Timberland in the past and loved them, these were a complete waste of money.

I have returned to timberland boots and loved the last few pairs until this one. I am a farmer, on my feet all day, and the timberland work boots were excellent. I bought this pair on sale, hoping for a more lightweight boot. They seemed to be fine for about a month and then started to cut into my feet on the sides. I kept trying to make them work, but gave up one morning when I realized that I dreaded putting them on. Still pushed through it and had to take them off and switch to sneakers when I couldn't walk across the kitchen because it was so painful. I have fairly narrow feet and have never had this problem with a pair of shoes before or since them. I push through all kinds of pain, but starting the day out with painful feet for no reason other than the boots is not fun. No pain or any other problems with other styles, brands, etc. I have no idea what is wrong with this design, but I was super disappointed. I did buy them on sale and was trying to save a little so I guess I can't cut corners.

I ignored the reviews that said this was too narrow, and gave it a try. It was the right price. I wanted to love it. I was wrong, so wrong. I don't have a wide foot, just a normal width one and it wasn't just a little narrow, it was SO incredibly narrow. Maybe if you normally wear spike heals on the day to day but for a woman looking to actually hike somewhere in this boot as opposed to sporting it for fashion, while sitting still, in my opinion, forget it.

Disappointing in quality. Very narrow in the toe box in one shoe of the pair (!) Inconsistent sizing as well. I usually order 2 or 3 pair in the same size and style and then keep the best fitting. Timberland is not what it used to be, quality-wise.

I ordered a half size up, and a wide, and these are still way too small. The size 8 looked and felt like a size 7 and the wide IS NOT WIDE. The shoe is cute, and would be awesome if made in the right size. Also, the shoes I got looked worn and had scuff marks all over. Return sent!

I have no idea why they thought using plastic was a good idea- it feels horrible. Luckily, I don't know if anyone else would know the difference without touching it. I just don't understand why they wouldn't use a metal like some other hiking shoes I have had- they feel much sturdier.

I really like the style of the Norwood boot for women, but I had to return them because they are very narrow in size. Is there a chance that these might be made in a wide size? I saw online that I am not the only one with this problem. There is not much to choose from for women, who want a leather boot that is not so bulky and can be worn year round.

Dear all, I want to tell you about my terrible experience with Timberland. Until this happened, I had been a regular costumer of their products. But the problem I've had and the terrible polices have made me change my mind. I purchased a pair of Timberland hiking boots (9505A/4038) some months ago in an Academy store in Eagle Pass, Texas, to use them in Spain during the Camino de Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage I'd do in May. Then, when I had barely completed 60 miles, the shape of the boots had changed, with the frontal upper part plunging toward my nails. I didn't realize the problem at first - I did when it was too late: the defective boots had wounded my feet and my nails. I could barely walk for some days afterwards and three of my nails start to felt off... As you can imagine I was very disappointed of the Timberland boots I had bought. So I took several pictures of the deformed boots and my feet and sent them from Spain with a complaint to the Timberland service. I had no answer at all. In order to continue the Camino I had to buy a new Columbia Dakota Drifter pair of shoes and leave the useless boots in Leon, keeping only the tongue of the pair with the basic information as material proof, along with the pictures. Two weeks later I sent another mail from the States, complaining even harder. I did get an answer after the second mail - in which I was told that the policy was I had to send the entire boots in order to be reimbursed or have the boots exchanged. So you can imagine how it's like: they don't answer for two weeks, and they expect you to carry the defective boots along with my 30lt back pack walking 25 km every day until you decide to answer to my complaint in the middle of the Spain fields! I had no idea Timberland's polices and costumer service was so awful and inefficient. Timberland should make effective the guarantee, with the photos and the tongue of the boots, as other brands do, but I see this do not matter. So I wanted to share my experien
