Columbia RUINED Montrail's Molokini!
Surely you have the mold to make them EXACTLY like the original. DUE IT! Customers need their perfect sandal!
The ONLY thing to possibly change was better glue for circles on sole. But i could easily glue my own.
Bring back my montrail molokinis! Come on China knockoffs where are you when we need you?
Why didn't Montrail warn us so we could have stocked up? 10 yr customer.
I live in flip flops and montrails are the only comfortable ones. Perfect arch support. Springy & smooth footbed. Perfect heel cup.
So far Reef slap 3 is sort of ok (good springiness) but yucky rough footbed and no heel cup.
New balance revive thong looked promising but too heavy, and stiff, no heel cup.
I'm waiting.....

This is not the Columbia Molokini anymore! The foot bed has been contoured - more narrow at mid foot, less cushioning and arch support. I absolutely loved the old Molokini fit and style and this Molokini III is so disappointing! Sending them back. Any suggestion for a replacement cushioned flip flop?

I've been buying Molokins for years, usually get a new pair every year. But sadly that will no longer be the case as this newer style (post-Columbia acquisition of Montrail) is nothing like the old. The straps attach to the footbed at an odd spot, closer to the foot then the old style, and the result is very uncomfortable. It is too tight and yet also gaps in spots. The material feels not as soft and cushioning as the old material and is far uglier. So disappointed to see that Columbia has ruined a great shoe.

Molokini ll was incredible, I wore them for years. This sandal is uncomfortable and not true to the previous versions, very sad.
Please bring Molokini ll back!

The Molokini ll was the greatest shoe. It was the most comfortable flip flop, beat out all the orthopedic and comfort ones. I wore it around the house for years and had 4 pairs. It was the only shoe that my very problematic feet were absolutely comfortable in. The new design is terrible. It runs a whole size smaller and is much narrower than the previous version. I wore socks in the winter with the previous design, but could barely get my foot in this one. My foot kept rubbing on the straps. It is better looking than the old ones, but SO uncomfortable. PLEASE bring back the Molokini ll!

I've worn the Molokini ll for years and this Molokini lll style is not a good replacement. It doesn't really mold to my foot and provide the comfort that I expected. Please, Columbia, bring back the Molokini ll

Really REALLY loved molokini I and II. This model is real disappointment and I see why phasing out. Hard and very uncomfortable footbed, narrows high on foot. Ribbon between ties harsher and not soft like previous. Going back. So sad earlier versions gone - I’ll be nursing along my four pair.

I had to try this flip flop out of deperation, despite the bad reviews, because my old Montrails finally gave up the ghost. As other reviewers have stated, Columbia ruined this flip flop. It is narrower than the old Montrail version, and has no arch support. Thank goodness for Zappos return policy!

I miss my Molokini ll. They were the best sandals ever!!! I was hoping the Molokini llI would be close but no such luck. Maybe Columbia will make Molokini lV and bring back previous design. I’d i only knew they were going away I would have bought several pairs.

So miss the old montrail molokinis. Would buy several pair but after reading reviews that these do not begin to be the same I am writing this review instead. I have 5 daughters that also wore these and no other flipflops. Please bring back the old tried and true design. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Please bring back the Molokini 2. The "3" is a huge step backwards. Don't fix what isn't broke. Will be returning these.

Well, I should’ve listened to other reviewers. This redesign is not for the better. The cushion isn’t as great and I found them to be too small. I wear an 11.5, ordered a 12, and my heels were on the edge of the show. Until now, 12s are either good or just a tad too big for me. I’ve never had a 12 that was too small!

I bought this for my mother. She has high arch problems. She is very satisfied with the product. She says the pain disappeared.

The product listing for these describes that they have a thermo-moldable footbed, but does not explicitly describe the process, which might be interesting to know before purchase. You actually put these sandals in the oven for a few minutes at a low temperature to warm up the moldable foam. Then you stand in them without moving for a few minutes. Then you walk around in them to continue molding them to your foot. It's pretty cool to get a completely customizable footbed. It does take a little longer to break these in, but not as long as something like Birkenstocks. The straps run slightly small, but are ok after the break-in period.

I have had a version of the thermo moldable sandal for years, and loved them, but this newer version is even better! I was skeptical since the design was different, but no worries, they are more comfy, fit better and look better too. I have suffered from plantar fasciitis in the past and these sandals are my savior!

I purchased these flip flops as a gift. My GF has remarked multiple times how much she likes wearing them because of the arch support and the cushioned heel cups. She also likes the black & gray color scheme which goes with everything in her wardrobe.

Decided to give these a try to wear after running. The gel cushion feels great and my feet are happy. I did not warm them to custom fit yet and not sure if I will , They are very comfortable! Thank you Columbia. My feet thank you.

This is my 2nd pair & I love them. Putting them in the oven to form to your foot is genius. They are the most comfortable sandals I've owned. My only wish would be that they come in more colors.

I have neuropathy and when I can't wear anything else on my feet, these really help. It takes a little while to break in the toe hold, but the support and cushioning really helps me stay on my feet. I get lots of compliments, too. Love the black.

I have plantar fasciitis in one foot, and it is immediately relieved when wearing these sandals. They are so super comfy - just the right amount of squishiness and support. As other reviewers have mentioned, it would be nice if these sandals came in half sizes. My only regret is that I didn't buy them sooner!

It took me years to finally find these sandals. My first pair was a decade ago and I since forgot the brand. It turned out that the original company was bought by Columbia - no wonder I couldn't find anymore!
Delighted Columbia still carries it. By Far the best sandals ever in my life! I bought wrong size though. My feet are 8.5, should have bought a 9 instead of 8.
