Extremely comfortable shoe. Very light and breathable, arch support is about average. Definitely better than any Vans shoe I've worn, and definitely rivals Nike Roshe Runs et al. as far as comfort goes. A very good looking shoe as well. I would definitely try a half size smaller or larger than what you normally wear to get a proper idea of how your foot will fit. I'm all over the place as far as size goes (10 9.5 or 9 in Nikes, 9/9.5 in Vans, 9.5 in Keen work boots). I got a size 9 in these and while it didn't feel too tight at the toe, it was also comfortably narrow. The mesh material will allow for a good amount of stretch for the foot to fit even better. Minor nitpicks: the laces were far too short for me, couldn't tie them when they were through the topmost holes. I value ankle support, so I'd prefer the lock-in that comes with the laces completely tied. $80 I feel is a little steep for this shoe. I did find a local store that had them for $70 and felt that was a little closer to where they should be as far as value. Overall great shoe, definitely interested in other iterations of the UltraRange, but I will be waiting until they go on sale or drop in price.

Been wearing the shoes for 2 days and they are fantastic except for one thing...The are slightly narrow for me. I have a normal foot and wear other vans (high top, low top lace, and slip on) with no issue but for some reason these are slightly narrow in the pinky toe area causing a little discomfort which is why I'm only giving 4 stars on Comfort. I wear 11 and the 11 fits good in the heal and length. Hopefully the will stretch and I will update in a few weeks. I was looking for one shoe "that could do it all" and replace my casual dress shoe, Reebok Crossfit shoe, and Altra hiker on trips eliminating the need to bring 3 separate shoes... and this shoe comes pretty close to doing that. They're stylish, super cushy, flexible, have a toe cap for exercising/crossfit/hiking , and have a nice out sole for light hiking/trekking. Plus the Peat/Black seams to go with everything. Once again i just wish they had a slightly bigger toe box but all in all a great shoe.

After the first UltraRange Vans I had, which were the most comfortable shoe I'd ever worn, I was looking forward to these. The comfort level was great a little clunky compared to the last pair which I believe were called the UltraRange Flex? These were an everyday shoe for me not a skate shoe so comfort was key. I purchased these on May 21, its now July 17 and the bottoms are already coming apart! Totally happy with the comfort, extremely disappointed with the quality! Get it together Vans!
