I love NB. This shoe is heavy and not comfortable. Felt like I was jogging on bricks. The tongue would not stay straight. That's okay, I'll just get a pair that I know fits and performs well from new balance. They have many flavors.

I wore the shoes once and they gave me instant blisters.

My occupational therapist suggested the "higher numbered" New Balance shoes were always better than the lower numbered. Not true. I paid almost twice as much for the 1340 as I did for the NB #813 AND they 1340s are far less comfortable. They don't even have that new shoe feeling like you're walking on air that I was used to for brand-new New Balance shoes. DO not buy the 1340, period. Save your money and get an 813 or anything under $100 from NB

These shoes are terrible. The tongues on shoes shift to outside of foot on both sides. Poor quality

As a foot specialist, I have relied on New Balance to make shoes to treat certain pathologies and patho-mechanics. This shoes predecessor, the 1012, was an excellent shoe. When NB came out with the 40 series things have rapidly declined. The 1540 v3 may turn out to be ok but good luck trying to get anyone under 40 to wear it. My understanding is the 1340 is being discontinued. Good riddance.

I found the shoe to be uncomfortable. Ran in them one time and they caused abrasions around my ankles . They are very rigid and do not perform as well as the 860.

Nothing good about this shoe. I have latterly hundreds of NB Running shoes all SL2 last. I purchased these and felt they were snug but never thought it would be impossible to "break in". I lined up some of my old SL2 Last shoes side by side with the 1340's and the toe area of the 1340 is obviously
narrow compared to the "actual" SL2 Last shoes. I call it "manufacturing defect".

I can no longer justify purchasing New Balance shoes above $100. When I started wearing them 20 or so years ago (because I wear a 4E), they were a high quality brand. Today, that quality has dissipated. I could name the various issues I've had but why bother? This shoe carried on the recent "tradition" of New Balance in that it was worth what I paid for it and didn't live up to the ex-quality that New Balance used to stand for.

I really liked the 1340v2 because it worked well with my feet, which are hard to fit (I bought the 587 for decades and loved that too but that also no longer exists). You seem to be doing a very poor job of following up with newer versions of some great shoes from the past. I may have to start looking at other companies to get decent shoes.

I loved the first 1340, helped me work through some painful foot issues I had developed. The 1340 V2 was also a great shoe, and I was buying about 3 pairs per year as they seemed to be the only shoe that would keep me walking. But when the 1340 V3 came out it hurts my pinky toe and right behind the toe, within minutes of putting the shoe on. I normally buy 2E width. I exchanged those for 4E, but still had the same exact pain. Thankfully I've lost some weight and my feet don't hurt as bad. I'm trying out the 1080's but would really like New Balance to fix that painful problem with the 1340. I will give this line a chance when the v4 comes out.

The New Balance 1340v2 shoes are one of the most excellent on the market for those who suffer with feet problems. The version 3 model is drastically different from version 2. There is less comfort, a crowded toe box, and a heel area that does not fit right. I have read the reviews for the women's 1340v3 and see the same complaints. I would greatly appreciate it if New Balance would consider this feedback and bring back the version 2 model.

This was my first online purchase of shoes. I will never do it again! Ordered a size 10 4EE. They were marked 10 4EE, the tag in the shoe said 10 4EE, they did not fit as 10 4EE. very tight, more like a 10D, a regular width shoe. If you have wide feet I suggest a different shoe. I think I am at least the second person to say this shoe is not the width they claim. I will go back to the shoe store, even if the customer service is poor. Really don't even wear this shoe. In fairness to New Balance, I've purchase a large number of their shoes, this is the only bad pair I have ever bought. I will continue to buy New Balance, just at a store were I can try them on!

I absolutely loved the 1340V2 and bought 3-4 pair a year. This version is a radical change and awful - more narrow, uncomfortable arch and feel like work boots. Very disappointed and when I reached out to NB for help, I received a useless stock response. Off to either Brooks or Saucony
