These are my 3rd pair I've bought for patrol work. They usually last between 2-3 years in the dirt/pavement. Where I work gets between 115 in the summer and can drop to 25 with snow in winter. I have worn these boots year round and zero complaints as to their construction. They don't overheat and keep my feet dry. I typically buy an expensive insert to replace the original ones for better comfort.

I decided to try these out for law enforcement use and they ended up being the most comfortable boots I've ever worn on duty. I will definitely be purchasing these again.

I have a high arch and a high instep. This boot provides exactly what I need. tight heel fit with great support and plenty of wiggle room for my toes.

It's Merrell's typical high quality crazy comfortable fit and workmanship.

Moab 2 8" Tactical Waterproof Boot Wide Width are the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. Most shoe companies that make wide width boots are really not wide enough for my bunion. Merrell makes really comfortable boots!

I work out in the harsh desert. One year in and the boots are holding up great. I spend a lot of time walking/hiking and boots have performed well. They still fit comfortably even after being in 115 plus heat, getting wet countless times and climbing up and down mountains.

Second pair of these boots...still have the first pair from 4 years ago...put them thru the ringer everyday outside...working...hiking...you name it...outstanding comfortable boot...

I bought my first pair about a year and a half ago and I used them for law enforcement duty. I am not the type to sit on my butt. I am very proactive and on my feet a lot. I was impressed how long they lasted. I just purchased another pair for duty and use the old ones for training. Good work Merrell!!!

Bought the 8" Moab Tactical boots 14 months ago. Have worn them an average of 4 days a week for hunting, farm work, forestry work; no failures with side zippers. Most comfortable boots I've ever owned. Extremely durable. Recommend them without any reservations.

I have a very flat foot. I have been a officer for 15 years and I only wore Bates until I tried a pair of Merrell's. I am hard on my boots and Bates only last me about 6 months. I have had Merrell's for about 2 years. I own two pair and one is still on the box. They hold up very well and keep your feet dry. They breath at the same time so you don't get swamp foot. At the end of they day, I don't want to wear tennis shoes at these boots feel better! If you have not tired Merrell's, do yourself a favor and try them now!

Good boot for rugged hiking. Smaller sizes are great and hard to find. I am a female who works as a land surveyor in the Appalachian Mountains. Good tread and ankle protection are very necessary for the steep and sometimes rocky terrain. These boots have performed very well and are light weight great for challenging hikes off trail. I really like side zip it makes them much easier to put on. The water proofing works even in very wet conditions. The only negative for me is that I usually get only one year out of these boots, but I am wearing them 4-5 times a week and sometimes hiking 3-5miles of rough terrain in one day. But for a lightweight boot they perform better than anything else I've found in my size. Also the sole is very supportive and comfortable even after walking in them for 10 hours.

I've been a police officer for 20+ years. These are by far the most comfortable and durable duty boot I've ever worn. As long as they are still being made, I wont buy another brand.

I hiked up Moxie Bald Mtn in Maine and used these boots to do it. Every other part of my body was sore except my feet. After that hike my feet told me they felt like they had been born to a wealthy royal family after wearing those boots. They went through everything, regular trail, tree roots, rocks scrambles, water, mud - excellent grip, kept feet dry and very comfortable - not a blister to be found. These are the best hiking boots I've owned and I highly recommend them.

I've worn Moabs for years and love them. I joined a search and rescue team that wears navy blue BDUs so of course I had to convince my wife I needed black boots. The black tactical Moabs look great and live up to Merrell's reputation. They were comfortable and ready to go out of the box. I still walked the dog in them for a couple weeks before taking them on their first SAR training. During training we hiked on uneven ground, up and down hills and off trail through thick woods- the boots worked great. I noticed two other SAR team members with the same boots. The zipper on the right boot gets stuck sometimes but if stops self-correcting I'm sure Merrell will take care of me. I think I'll get the coyote brown ones for regular camping and hiking. Even though my older moabs are 6" boots and are still great, these 8" boots are lighter.

Great boots. They are waterproof and still manage to breath a little.

Picked these up to replace some old boots that needed to get retired. I ordered a half size too large (these do run true to size). Return was super smooth and new pair got shipped out quickly. They fit great, comfy right out the box. Haven't had much chance to test the waterproofing yet, other than going through a few puddles but no leaks so far. Would recommend

Easy break in process, comfortable, and extremely waterproof

Amazingly comfortable, I got these for EMT use. Couldn't ask for a better pair.
