Fit/Size... great. Warmth... great. Design... great. Ice/Wet Tech Soles... NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING replaces tungsten carbide spikes (like YakTrax).
I work for FedEx in the Colorado mountains, and I encounter every weather condition imaginable - traction wise. My prime motivations for buying these boots were 1) The Merrell brand (I owned another Merrell shoe years ago, and was impressed), and 2) The traction claims of the Vibram "Wet Ice Tech" sole were intriguing.
In Real Life (IRL)... not so much.
The traction of these soles are decent in heavy snow, light packed snow, and I suppose... snow in general. But ICE...? Not only NO, but hell no!
In other words, these Merrells are typical Merrells... excellent boots/shoes, but the traction claims for the soles are exaggerated. Once again, there is no substitute for spikes in certain conditions.
Love the boots from the sole up. Decent traction in normal conditions, but nothing special otherwise.

These boots are quite comfortable and keep my feet warm while walking and working. I walk my dog daily in them and often wear them for work. They are great for going out to shovel or blow snow. When ever they wear out, I'll buy another pair to replace them.

I am an excavating contractor and was looking for a good comfortable work boot. Working thru the winter, my feet stayed dry and comfortable. There are not a heavy boot so I actually felt less tired after being in my feet all day. I highly recommend and plan on purchasing other products.

They fit really well and very light I'm on my feet most of the day so that's a relief plus it recently snowed and the pattern of the soles are very gripping in the ice and snow very warm and dry as well the toe caps are rubber so they don't really stain and they don't crease either quick wipe down and there good as new.

Wow, Surprisingly comfortable warm and light weight best part it's at a fraction of the cost of other brands it's definitely worth the price. I can't imagine any other selection

This boot has to be the best boot I've ever worn. I've spent 21 years in the U.S. Army and 15 years working with the USPS, so needless to say that I have worn out many pairs of boots. They are comfortable, lightweight and durable. I've purposely walk through large puddles of water and slush to test the validity of the waterproofing....my feet kept warm and dry. Definitely ordering another pair.

these boots do the job .. feet stay warm & comfortable .. they are made for a thick sock .. good traction during snow weather .. 3-mile walk & feel awesome.. hopefully the soles won't come apart like the other reviews

They are super comfortable and warm. Using them at my construction site. Only used them shortly because the weather warmed up a bit, but I'm sure they will do the job in the NYC cold winter.

I was seeking a boot for work with durability and comfort. I wear other Merrell casual boots and shoes and I have always liked the fit. I purchased these boots for work and was hoping that they would be more durable than my casual shoes. When I received the boots I was happy to find that these are well made and appear to be built very well. I like the non-slip sole that they incorporated into this boot and the insulation appears to be just right. I am very pleased with the quality of this item and I am happy that Merrell added this to their line up. I would recommend this product to anyone who works outside and would like a durable boot designed to handle winter usage.

These are great boots. On my feet for 10 hours a day mostly on concrete and my feet don't get sore. I own quite a few Merrells for hiking, water and work and they fit great!

Great boot that looks stylish, super warm I work in a refrigerated environment and my toes are toasty. Composite toe is the way to go look forward to other models, I'm used to tactical style 8 inch and up boots maybe In the near future you'll bless us with a nice design. Would highly recommend!

Lite weight compared to my last winter boots which actually weighed over 5lbs.So far I haven't seen how they do in Sub-Zero temperatures, but have wore them at around 20( I work outside delivering packages) and I never noticed the temperature. As far as durability goes, I'll have to wait till spring to give my full analysis.
